I don't like how it tries to sell you something frequently. Also don't like one of the options that gives you option to buy service or return later to buy - makes you tell a lie to move forward - I had no intention of coming back to purchase. I pay you for the product, I resent the continued sales after I bought the product.

I've been using Turbo Tax for at least the past 10 years, and 5 years for the software version. I had a bad experience this time. The software jammed up, and I just saw a "spinning wheel" for about 5 minutes. I had to force quit and lost all of my data. I was very close to the end of the process. Once I rebooted my computer and started it again, I realized that there were multiple places earlier in the process where I should have been prompted to save my information up to that point, but had not been given the option. The questions and prompts are very easy to follow, which is what makes this process less stressful. However, for the price of this product I would not expect these types of errors. I will likely not use this product again in the future.

I use a Mac, not a PC. Again this year, the latest version of TurboTax refused to acknowledge that I had a TurboTax file from last year. I had to go on line to find out from others that I had to go back to 2024 and restart everything. A couple years ago, I did what TurboTax recommended about using a password to save a file, and ended up having to enter everything by hand. I'll never do that again.

i believe that Turbo Tax should be able to accept all the information when you sell it to me - not have to wait, and check back when I can add data to my forms. Last year was the same - don't sell Turbo Tax until I can add all the information. When I requested to get notified when section was ready it was for the wrong section. If Turbo Tax is supposed to be able to do my taxes - they better be correct.

The product itself is mine. The misleading information regarding using a portion of the federal refund to pay for the state filing fee and prep cost, without properly explaining how it would go through a third party and all the hassles that go along with that is infuriating. To the point that I am considering no longer using your product as there are plenty of other tax preparation options on the market.

I've used Turbotax every year for over a decade. I've used It's Deductible since before it was acquired by TurboTax. Suddenly it disappeared this year and the marketing info for TurboTax has deceptive language giving no indication that it's gone - perhaps even implying it's still thee. As a result, I had to separately license a donation valuation replacement which doesn't integrate nearly as well due to import limitations within TurboTax. I don't know if there are other tax software companies out there which include something similar to It's Deductible, but I'll certainly be looking next year before I purchase my tax software, I have no desire to license additional products and do extra work if I don't have to.

Good for the most part. The version for Mac OS has some issues with some message boards popping up where you can't see the bottom of the page. It can't be moved or re-sized, so you can't see any buttons or wording because it's below the bottom of the screen. It doesn't happen with the main TurboTax window. For example when I tried to import a W2 in pdf format it wanted me to log into TurboTax. I tried to cancel but I couldn't because I couldn't see the bottom of the screen. These are not huge issues but they are very annoying! I finally gave up and logged into my TurboTax account. Not sure why I needed to log-in just to import a pdf from my own computer to a TurboTax version right on the same computer.

Turbo Tax was awesome again this year. My only complaint is with the new version that I had to run on Windows 11. I had some issues with it. For example, when I first opened it in early January I couldn't save my file using the top left Icon on the save page, but had to use another file source for some reason. Then when I opened TurboTax in February to do my taxes, the save box worked! Maybe there was a software patch put in place. Also, things changed from the last several years in menus and selections. Some was due to the new tax laws, but some seemed arbitrary. I don't like change.

In many cases the screens for state taxes are different that for federal taxes. Also, additional popup windows providing help and guidance are presented in a font that is extremely small and cannot be enlarges by the user, at least on a Window 11 PC.

After using Turbo Tax Deluxe-Desktop for several years, I believe doing my taxes this year was easier then ever before with additional questions or statements clarifying areas that I might make a mistake in, making me more aware of each area that made me feel more comfortable then all the years I have been doing my own taxes with Turbo Tax. Thank you for continuing to put out a better product each year. In my opinion Turbo Tax is simple and accurate to put in my own data and file electronically each year. Thank you Turbo Tax.
