I used Turbo Tax again this year for my 2025 taxes. This year, the program was missing several key sections where program step-by-step guidance would have been nice. Additionally, the associated forms for those sections were not available by February 25th, the date I gave up and filed my taxes. I had to resort to "guess work" instead of relying on a program that I had learned to trust. . .

Turbotax BUSINESS will NOT work on MAC OS. Also, don't mistake "Home & Business" as giving you the same capabilities as "Home" plus "Business" - - If you're doing a return for a Trust, for example, you must purchase the "Business" product. The "Home & Business" will not allow you to do a trust.

Although I have been using TurboTax for over 25 years, this year was the most accravating. Although I realize that the very recent tax changes have caused a lot of the constant updates and recycling back to subjects already covered and the messages about updates, this was the absolute hardest/time consuming ever.

Lost most of my information sometime after a save. Re-entered it. Things that used to be included in the version I bought now require an upgrade for more $$$$$. Can't remember bank account information between Federal and State Versions. Buggy imports from my financial institutions required manually reviewing and correcting line after line. Never prompted me for my IP PIN even though I have used one for years with Turbo Tax.

I've used TurboTax for many years. I think it's getting easier to use. Perhaps I'm just getting more used to it but I think explanations and guidance are clearer. Some processes seem to be simplified. My brother, who uses TT Premier, said the same thing. Importing from my previous TT and from my financial institution went without a hitch. Don't think that happened before. My only complaint is all the prompts to add on products or services.

Some issues with having to manually make updates to some fields in Federal tax forms that should have automatically been updated based on my state's requirements which came back as errors then requiring me to find the form & fields to make the updates too. TurboTax software should have done this automatically and then notified me of the correction done.

The software was only available for download online, no CD for desktop. My computer is Windows 10, TurboTax software required Windows 11, forcing me to purchase a new computer. Didn't expect doing my taxes would be that expensive but I didn't have much choice if I wanted the dependability of TurboTax.

I use Turbo Tax because I have used it for years. I feel like the in app ads get worse every year. Several prompts to try to get me to upgrade or add on services during the process. I paid for the product I needed, I don't want more ads from you during the process. It also seems less reliable than before and doesn't seem like it wants the lowest assessment automatically. At one point it assessed a penalty and then asked if I wanted to do more work to see if it applied. Then it asked me to enter information from last years return to determine it should not be assessed. WHY? I used Turbo Tax last year, I imported the file at the start of the return, the application had everything it needed to make the right choice without me having to look up and manually enter my info from last year. Also, you need better feedback when external imports fail. When attempting to bring in information, it kept telling me to check my login info. Finally I went to the institution and figured out that I needed to enable third party sharing on that side. It would have been useful if the error message said "If you are certain you entered your information correctly, check your account settings to ensure third party data sharing has been enabled." Additionally, the same section does not make it easy to link multiple forms (like 1099-INT and 1099-DIV to a single source when entering them manually. It only lets you select one and says it will ask you about the others later, but it doesn't and then if you try to enter them as an "add" it doesn't let you pick the previously entered entity. I feel like the product is not as reliable as it used to be.

This may be my last year using TurboTax. If Intuit takes TurboTax to Online only next year like they they are, I will go to another product like TaxAct who says they will ALWAYS offer a standalone version of their product. I have been using TurboTax since 1984 with Version 1.0a so this is a huge disappointment. Intuit's choice. Standalone version and keep Customers or Cloud-based only and you've lost a lot of people like me.

I've been using TurboTax for around 25 years. After this year's experience, I'm looking for another method for next year. Your software has gotten to the point that it is more about the marketing and pigeon holing customers away from what they desire that it was a fight to make the software work. I want stand alone software and sadly TT is no longer that option. I spend money on stand alone. I don't really get that and I have to fight to avoid the constant push to force me down a software track I do not wish to go. This is not about the tax calculation. hoping that's still correct. It's about a company model that no long puts customer wishes as a priority. Market to me once and then abide by my decision! Even the TT AI feedback GUI won't let users select/deselect the review topic or submit negative feedback without extra work. TT has decided for me. I've decided, too.
