My initial download had bugs. It hung up when trying to install updates. I had to reinstall a new copy after first having to uninstall my old copy. It took about a half day wasted to get this all done. What a giant waste of time. Another continual problem with TT is that they change the user interface every year--The changes are in areas that do not need to change, such as entering income. The enter income interface this year was particularly bad. It couldn't learn that I wanted to enter data myself, not download it.

Turbo Tax Deluxe 2025 Arkansas State After selecting Filing Status 4 (Married filing separately on the same return), Program prompts for selecting "65 Special" tax credit for SPOUSE but does not prompt for selecting "65 Special" tax credit for PRIMARY and automatically applies the "65 Special" tax credit for the PRIMARY! This results in the $6,000 Retirement Exclusion NOT being applied for the PRIMARY!

I've been using TurboTax for over 20 years, and for the most part it has been excellent. However, I struggle every year to figure out where to enter some foreign income (a pension) and the tax paid on it. This time around, I ended up having to reinstall TurboTax 2024, open up my 2024 return, and follow the steps there to see how I had done it. Eventually, I had to switch to forms so I could study all the worksheets before I was able to complete the taxes paid portion (a Form 1116 needed to be created but not submitted).

I have been using TurboTax Deluxe for Windows for about 15 years now and still find it incredibly easy to use. In total, I have probably saved several hundred dollars over having someone do my taxes for me. I have not used the business editions, but I believe the experience would be similar. The software is easy to use and at least for the last 15 years... very accurate!

Felt much harder to navigate then previous years. Felt frustrating having to go back and forth when entering dividends and interest for accounts that should have showed up automatically. To many new questions about the previous 1099s that were confusing , and didn't use to be there. Finally at the end when I entered my credit card for efile, it wouldn't accept the correct month mine expired. It would only accept numbers up to 8 and not beyond. Finally had another card with a lower expiration month. Then all went through. VERY FRUSTRATING!

I've been using Turbo Tax for 20 years or so. This year, for some reason, it didn't give me the $12,000 seniors deduction for my wife and I filing joint. I caught it and made the necessary corrections. Not sure why it didn't do it since I was using the step by step method.

From many years of using Turbo Tax I know it's easy to use and helpful in pulling all my previous year tax info into this year. The directions are easy to follow. Watch out for the refund processing charge at the end. It prompts you like it's required. The fine print disclosures show otherwise. This processing charge hassle is why I bumped the rating down to 4 stars.

OVERALL IT'S WONDERFUL. HOWEVER, HERE ARE SOME POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS IMO. 1. DON'T REQUIRE US TO WAIT ON UPDATES EVERY TIME WE START THE PROGRAM. DO IT AT THE END RIGHT BEFORE WE FILE. 2. CARRY OVER THE INFORMATION AT THE END FOR BANK NUMBERS, DL'S, ETC. THAT LITTLE BIT OF INFORMATION IS A PAIN TO ROUND UP EVERY YEAR. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE, WHEN YOU GET OLDER AND YOUR WALLET/CHECK BOOK IS UP OR DOWN THE STAIRS AND ITS THE SAME INFORMATION AS LAST YEAR. I STILL AM A BIT UPSET YOU COULDN'T ISSUE A WINDOWS 10 VERSION. I HAD TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER JUST FOR THIS BECAUSE OF WINDOWS 11. MEANWHILE I HAVE TWO WINDOWS 10 COMPUTERS THAT CAN'T BE UPGRADED BUT WORK PERFECTLY AND DID SO JUST LAST TAX YEAR. I'M $600 POORER JUST TO DO MY TAXES WITH NO NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE AND STILL USE THE SAME SECURITY SOFTWARE.

The program is good but the new design will take some time getting use to it. My main complaint is that the charge for state e-filing is excessive. It literally costs you nothing and yet you charge $25. This is pure profit for you and I think its too much. Don't forget, the consumer already purchased your product which is higher because it includes state filing and now there's an additional "tax" to e-file.

This desktop was more diffcult to work than all the past ones. Early I continued mixing the "file" titles until end. I have three saved files with the same name, and I do not know when nor how I manage to do this. I had to call TurboTax at least four (4) times. I was just that confused. I still love TurboTax because it allows me to go step by step. So if I follow directions carefully I can still accomplish my task. THANK YOU TUBOTAX!!!
