I tried the online version this year to see what it was like. The ai helps were nice, but it didn't offer the ease of doing all of my family's returns from one account. I switched to the desktop version for my familiy's returns because it was so easy to work with in creating multiple returns. It's too bad the online version doesn't offer that option.

Product overall is excellent and saves me countless hours in preparing and filing my federal and two state returns. One major problem, however, was inability to transfer prior Turbo Tax programs and returns to a new computer, thus necessitating starting data entry all over again from scratch, and losing all year-to-year comparisons. A much smaller problem was an apparent glitch which failed to incorporate one of my withholding payments, no matter how many times I tried to enter it.

I've used TurboTax for over 30 years. The missing feature is the worksheet option for multiple entries, such as medical expenses, involving multiple companies or individuals. The Apple MiniMac keyboard and mouse are not real user friendly is several areas. The rest of the system remains very familiar.

I just finished getting my bank information sent to the IRS. This was necessary because turbo tax gave me the option of getting a check instead of direct deposit. This was very tiring and frustrating, two hours of trying to do what they wanted me to do. This was the first time turbo tax has let me down. It will be hard in the future to recommend it to my friends.

I have been using TurboTax for decades and I love that it has so many ways to check your return and lead you in the right direction. It has updates that will keep all the newest tax regulations that would be impossible to do on your own. I do wish there was a better way to download the software each year and it was a better price for loyalty.

There were pages that would not load. I finally got Google to help me solve what to do to get around the problem. Then, when I went to pay, my credit card expiration date was month 11. You could not scroll past 08. And the final kicker was there was a problem filing. Come back later and retry. It had assured me all was well with my return. I have probably taken 1/3 more time to file than it should have.

It's a little clumsy in the MAC version. I couldn't always tell what it was doing. Not the the Windows version. In addition, I only wanted to print the paperwork that actually had to be filed (e.g. if I mailed it in) but the program made me print all 35 pages. That never happened in my previous returns and I've been using Turbotax since 2015. Overall, I'm not thrilled with this year's version. In addition, I have informed you several times of the need to have the program automatically ask for and IP Pin if one is issued from the IRS. The program still fails to do so. I had to go to the help screen to find that.

It may be my particular tax issues this year, but it seems to that more issues were harder to find the solution than in the past. On the plus side, it is great to have 30 years of tax history stored away so I never need to dig though old dusty returns to find information needed this year.

I have used Desktop TurboTax for the last 6 years & this year I went online vs through Intuit directly which caused me to complete my taxes online. Problem developed when I could not find an answer to how to switch to desktop. Out of frustration I did get the desktop & thought I'd have to pay twice for the product but didn't have to and was able to bring all the data into desktop. So frustrating when the information said only prior years could be done this way but obviously not true. Perhaps this could be made more clear in the guidance.

I've been using Turbo Tax for decades both on a PC and now on a Mac, and it just isn't what it used to be. There were formatting issues where a complete number didn't fit on one line in a display and wrapped around itself in a box (charitable giving worksheet), I hit at least two links for more information that didn't go anywhere (I received an error message), multiple links in the Visit Each Area didn't go to the same place twice (despite pressing the same button multiple times), and the display would put a number in a column on the overview for Wages or Deductions saying the app was using one number but display another. Turbo Tax used to just be tight. I previously answered the questions in a logic order and completed my taxes. This run through made me question why a number of things happened, requiring me to go to the Tax Forms themselves to try to decipher how a specific number was calculated. I seem to recollect that previous versions had flags to provide feedback if something wasn't working correctly but that feature seems to have disappeared, as if Intuit doesn't care about making their desktop product any better. There were multiple items I would have flagged for feedback. The app is now filled with repeated up sales, some without costs laid out ahead of time. I feel like I was being driven toward the online version of Turbo Tax 2025, and the offer showed a cost of zero dollars, while I anticipate I still would have had to pay for the online software, a state filing, and a fee to try to pay my tax bill with a credit card (yet the offer showed $0). I loved this product years ago when I started using it. Now, I use it while keeping my eye open for something more user-friendly.
