I used Turbo tax for several years and it is still my go-to solution. I prefer desktop version because of privacy and flexibility to use whenever I want to use. I don't like online version. However, I find this year's version is slower, sometimes change a page takes 20-30 seconds. Hope this can be fixed next year

Steps to fix 1099-R box 14a error should be built into the NY State processing vs user has to google the error when it shows up so late in the game, namely after license and bank info is entered. By the time you get to e-filing identity verification steps this should already have been addressed. Totally unacceptable.

I fully recommend buying turbo tax for desktop. I purchase deluxe, includes a free state, ALSO, easy to look at forms as you go, easy to go back and redo items as well. Plus I can file 5 tax returns for free for less money then the app version/online.

After I finished my taxes I went to file. As I was paying (credit card) the drop down menu would not allow me to put the credit card expiration month in . It would not take the 12 in the drop down menu. This is the worse version of TT I have ever used in the past 20 years just terrible, It also told me my file didn't go through. Then it charged my credit card for the state fee. Then it told me my taxes went through. I'm hoping they were filed.

I had trouble from Fidelity downloading my data. fidelity should let you know what name should be entered to download the data. Not really turbo Tax problem, but I wish there was an easy way to know what to enter. I had problem with my IP Pin and that was the IRS problem, but I wish turbo tax could look before the people have to deal with a rejected tax form.

Hate new charitable contributions section! The previous Tax Year programs made it possible to alphabetize the various contributions to make them easier to find and work with. I think you could also rearrange the entries to suit my needs. Please retool and improve the charitable contributions section for TY 2026. Thanks!

My Federal return was rejected because the ID pin was incorrect. TurboTax imported last year's pin and so that is why the return was rejected. Last year's pin should not be imported, and a reminder to get the 2025 (new) pin should be given. When I obtained the new pin, I was only able to type in the first 5 digits, even though the pin is 6 digits. This is WRONG!! FIX IT,

I received a 1999-B From and a 1099-S Form from 2 different sources. Neither of these Forms are included in the Forms area. I would like to see at least some kind of direction from Turbo Tax where the information included on those forms should be entered. I spent a number of hours trying to research this information! The IRS isn't any help either!!!!

I did not talk to anyone and finished on my own. Importing financial information from financial institutions was much easier than expected but harder to find how to enter school income tax withheld in the right place so it would be credited on the tax return

The amount of upselling is very disappointing. The way you have to enter credit card info before you even start a state tax return....and the extra cost of filing the state tax return...with the additional costs going to a tax office is sometimes more economical
