I've used TurboTax and earlier versions, later acquired by TT, for over 40 years. Every year it gets more user friendly. It has always been accurate. The user interface improves every year. I really appreciate being able to import the prior year's return.

It is easy to use until the end. We e-file Federal returns easy. But if we do not want to pay to file our state, it is like being punished trying to find what needs to be mailed in with return not easy instructions. And heaven forbid there is a city return to be filed and mailed in. I had to go back into my returns to find additional documents after re-reading instructions. When we ask for ALL necessary documents to be printed to file, why are they not ALL printed?

There is a glitch in your Missouri software. I entered zero "0" on Line 2, Section 3 - Schedule C, MOA-A, Social Security Calculation, and kept receiving review errors with recommendations that didn't resolve the problem. It was never clear what we were supposed to do, and it became a frustrating experience with what should have been an easy return. We researched the topic on-line, and none of the Turbo-Tax troubleshooting sites adequately addressed the issue (the suggestions provided by TurboTax reps didn't work. After several hours of trying, we finally left the data cell blank, the problem resolved. The software should have either interpreted the zero "0" as none and left it blank or instructed us to do so.

Interface and topic helps were awful and impossible to navigate. Program's help functions were useless. I sought phone help and two different women tried to help me figure out how to enter 1099-PATR information. First woman admitted defeat after 1.5 hours. We also could not get Intuit Meeting to work. The second woman finally figured out how to enter the info after 2 hours, but then we could not get Intuit Meeting to work either. I have used Turbo Tax for decades and navigating was intuitive, but no more. This was my worst experience. An extremely frustrated user of TurboTax Deluse.

Getting too complicated and Turbo Tax no longer provides simple understandable explanations. In addition, for some unknown reason TurboTax threw me into a Canadian Retirement Fund question that I could not avoid. I have no Canadian Retirement Fund accounts at all.

The desk top version did not have the save a& exit button I have come to expect from the on-line version. I spent 4 hours working on my taxes and somehow accidently closed with out saving when I tried to search for a specific form in the software. To be sure, user error. Also to be sure, poor software design.

When entering information from a 1099-MISC, you need to reword the questions as the reason for the 1099-MISC was for observation from the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation. They are not an employer; the income was not for self-employed person this was general income.

I had several problems getting the proper answers because the amount of money for 2025 was only about $400-$500 more than I made in 2024 but I was told that my tax total was about $2300 more and I would owe nearly $2000. I got in touch with Tiffiny and there were several multiple choice line changes made because I didn't understand the choices.I ended up with a 41900 refund. I never had any problems in previous years. but this years Turbo tax was not user frendly.!

TT could use some extra guidance in certain areas. I cannot remember in what areas at this moment but I did not find this year's use as easy-to-use as in previous years. Even with this in mind I still give TT a good rating and the filling process was the easiest section to complete. At this time I believe I will be using TT again next year.

2nd year of TurboTax after over 20 years with another program. Love that it incorporates my Arizona state forms correctly so I don't have to paper file Love that I can do up to 5 federal forms with efile. The information is generally well explained. Had one minor issue when I loaded the state program, it was glitching and not asking questions, but after closing and reopening it worked fine. I really don't like the push to use the webbased services. I do like that the desktop version is compatible with all my companies for downloading forms and also works for PC and Mac. It is a little more expensive, but the features make it worthwhile.
