Entering 1099 investment income from combined documents by type, rather than by payor, is very difficult and redundant. Downloading files creates generic names without the opportunity to edit. I receive several 1099s for different accounts from the same processing house. Whether I download or enter manually, your procedure makes it onerous to verify the accuracy of information. I frequently cannot rename these files, making it impossible to confirm I've entered all information for each account. Very frustrating.

I have been using TurboTax for over 25 years....I feel the "user friendliness" has declined somewhat over the last several years.. I ran into a problem with e-filing whereby it said "Your Transmission Didn't Go Through"....the instructions that followed were vague...told me to go online select "check for updates"....I signed into Intuit online and could not find such. I called a friend who also uses Turbotax and she said to close the desktop software and restart it. I did so and then Turbotax came up with pop-up to check for updates. (It had not done so when I first started Turbotax and subsequently spent hours inputting my data.) The updates downloaded and the e-file step finally worked.

I have been using TurboTax for decades. I have a couple of complaints/suggestions. 1 - Turbo Tax is unaware that the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund does not have a federal ID number on its non-standard form. That may be true for other international organizations as well. I do get tired of the error flag popping up. 2 - On the New Mexico return, It would be reassuring to have you ask for the driver's license number EARLIER instead of seeing NONE when reviewing the forms.

After an online update, the program became unusable due to Error Code 70001. I had to call tech support and the wait time was over 20 minutes, which seemed too long to me. I did all sorts of trouble shooting, like clearing the cache, rebooting several times, clearing Task manager nad the like. Ultimatley, had to uninstall and re-install the whole program to get it working again. Most annoying. Some online research revealed this has been a know issue for several years now and Intuit has yet to fix it!!!! Shame on them...

I have been using TurboTax software on my desktop, now laptop, computer since 1996! It was always reliable and easy to use EVERY YEAR! Over the years I've had to file simple and very complicated tax returns and TurboTax handled it all. Until this year. I downloaded the 2025 tax year TurboTax program and it was incredibly "glitchy". I kept having to restart the computer when it got "stuck". Then I had to uninstall and re-install to escape from a State Tax loop, then when I got it going for my state, it wouldn't accept a credit card to pay the $25 fee for electronic filing. The program froze with an error message to keep trying again, and I did several times. Finally I gave up and printed my State return to file by mail. I'm so disappointed in the program this year! I'll try again next year, but please fix the problems. Thank you for such good service and product over the years before this!!

I found this years confusing. I struggled with the Medical part. When you turn 65 thru part of a year it needs to be a drop down whether this causes a problem or penalty. If I didn't have to use Cov Ca all year I should not be penalized the cost all year or even based on a full year income. That part was hard to understand. Property taxes also most pay a year but it is over a 2 year period. Like July 25 to July 26, yet your instructions don't address that like should I divide in half? Then also I do my mom's returns and since she never owes happy to use Efile, i do not want to efile State since cost $25 for no refund is stupid. I click free efile for feds but then it talks about cost for state and I am afraid if I click yes for efile feds I am going to get stuck paying to efile state when I do not want to. Clear that part up with options to efile only one.

We have used TurboTax for years and now our adult Children use it as well! It i easy to understand and gets us the biggest refunds each and every time! Highly recommend it as it is easy to use and you will get the biggest refund without spending an arm and a leg!

Usually TurboTax is a great tool for tax prep. But this year it skipped a vital step in preparing my state return. It counted my pension income as actual income without requesting info about its type and tax status. This caused TurboTax to base its calculations on an incorrect income amount and conclude that we owed tax and a penalty. It started to calculate a penalty, as well as estimated 2026 payments, when I stopped to review the entire process. That is when I found the missing screen and corrected the entry. I think TurboTax should have discovered this missing information much sooner!

Had a couple of hickups using TurboTax this year, the most irksome being unable to electronically import data from my financial institutions. Despite considerable time spent on the phone, the problem couldn't be fixed, although it later came to light that things worked when I installed Turbotax on a different computer.

I that been using Intuit Turbo Tax for years. I have never had a single-issue using Turbo Tax and my Federal & State Tax Returns are a breeze with Turbo Tax leading the way. I miss the old CD's, but I have been happy with the download Turbo Tax programs, and they have worked flawlessly for me.
