TurboTax intentionally obfuscates the process, upcharges and upsells and every possible step, and forces its way into the tax paying process of millions of Americans every year unnecessarily. Tell your congress person loudly and often that the American consumer is being taken advantage of.

Not as impressed this year as in previous years. Frequently our refund numbers changed without changing the data input. Scrolling of dropdown menus often did not work. Input of data frequently incomplete, for example, sometimes our address would not be complete, even when transferring from one correct entry to a new one. Even here, carefully typing in this comment box, the AI-generated topics are flashing and it is erasing letters that I am correctly typing to put in words spelled incorrectly. I can only wonder at the unhelpful reliance on AI this year. Somewhat disappointed in what used to be a very reliable product.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 0ver 10 years now. It was bad enough to have to have to purchase a new laptop because Turbo Tax no longer supports Windows 10, but now it seems less user friendly. There were a number of additional questions that were never asked before and it seems more difficult to go back without having to answer those same questions again. Also, this year's version will not let me even start my city tax return until I file my federal return. I don't understand why. If Turbo Tax didn't hold all my previous year's return. I may consider using another software option.

I had an issue trying to print the State return for Ohio (message: "currently unavailable to view, print, or download"). It was not clear which forms were missing. After to experimenting, I found that it turned out to be due to R.I.T.A. forms. It took me several hours to find this. As soon as the "R.I.T.A. Form 37" form was added the above error message appeared. After removing the R.I.T.A. form, the error message disappeared. There are numerous reports of this issue spanning several years. The error message should be clearer / more precise about the issue. Also unchecking the R.I.T.A. option in "Step-by-Step" does not work - it has to be handled in the "Forms" mode. This exacerbated the issue described above.

The program interface remains familiar over the years, so doing taxes is quick and easy. The amount of upselling to the online version and to their "experts" is OVER THE TOP! I will be looking for an alternative to TurboTax next year, as I am sure other programs are equally good, and don't have the upselling.

This was the 1st time Turbo Tax was not so good. At the end of filling it did not wanna to allow entering the credit card number. Afterwards it did not let me submit the Federal tax. It was always pointing to the same question. The "Tax-exempt interest" from last years tax (2024). Your explanation about it was very poor and cost me a lot of money, because it was not accepting the values I had entered. So, I had to change it to a value ($) that I picked up from a the tax returned of last year from (2a and 2b). Then it accepted it. In other words it sucked. The imports did not work either. It was a very bad software.

We have been a tubo tax user for at least 10 years. Probably closer to 15. This is the first year I've been disapointed with the program. The way the interface was worded this year compared to previous years was bad. The wording made things way harder to understand. Not sure if it was AI generated or what happen, but please go back and look at previous versions and fix this problem.

I love Turbo Tax. Have been using it for years. This year I was a little disappointed because all of the forms were not available. I followed the directions. I waited for the email informing me that the form became available. I hit the update software like it told me to do but the form never became available. I do not have the luxury to wait so I filed without it. Disappointing.

Every time the software is opened, it opens to aa blank tax file and never opens to the file being worked. This has caused a major waste of time as the workflow has to be adjusted to make sure you are entering data to the real, working file and not starting a blank file. This is unacceptable software performance.

As usual the TurboTax desktop program was helpful and made doing taxes each year predictable and almost routine. I like the option of working on what I need rathe than the step-by-step. I've always found TurboTax accurate and have never had an issue with any of its calculations.
