This 2025 desktop version had so many glitches! it wouldn't download the proper year, wouldn't transfer my tax info from last year, the learn more links wouldn't work, the credit card payment was very difficult to work & it cloed out before i got to efile!

The program is good but the new design will take some time getting use to it. My main complaint is that the charge for state e-filing is excessive. It literally costs you nothing and yet you charge $25. This is pure profit for you and I think its too much. Don't forget, the consumer already purchased your product which is higher because it includes state filing and now there's an additional "tax" to e-file.

I've been using TT since 1996. This year it was a real nuisance. I've been trying to get rid of the DO NOT FILE WATERMARK, and as of February 22, 2026, with my TT Deluxe desktop software up to date, the1040 ES forms still have the watermark. I'm sure I can get them elsewhere, but there's a principle here. I'm strongly considering using other software next year.

When I first downloaded Turbo Tax Software it asked for password I could not figure out. It took me quite a while to understand the code was my computer login code. I can't remember what Turbo Tax called it, but it certainly did not say "your computer log-in code". It was very confusing !!!

The product wasn't as user friendly as it had been. The hints were not as helpful as they have been in previous years. There was also a problem with importing information from my financial institutions, the application said it would delete previous imports when I had to reimport due to updates from my financial institution. However, there were duplicate copies of the documents after the imports. Also, there was a problem printing the Kentucky documents needed to paper file. The documents didn't fit on the 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper and I had to adjust the percentage to get it to print properly.

I had to use the desk top version because the on-line version could not e-file my returns. I have always used the desktop and will not be using the on-line version going forward. Not as user friendly. I had to pay for the state filing by using the desktop while it is free when you use the on-line, which cost me $25.00

The program is fine, but TurboTax should STOP lobbying against our government's effort to offer free tax preparation software for everyone. It's criminal to force taxpayers to pay third-party vendors for tax preparation software just so they can file accurate tax returns.

Difficult to read; can resize for screen everything; information popups too small and basically with out info. I have used Turbo Tax for 15 years and it has devolved -- I did not trust that it produced a correct result. bells and whistles without readability, informative, accessibility, and it asked too often for me to upgrade! I bought an expensive product and you provided me with your marketing strategy. The product should market itself.

I have used Turbo Tax for at least the last 12 years. Every year you make it more of a pain in the butt with all of the add ons and having to create an account to file taxes. I use this for simplicity but will be looking for a different software next year.

It's Deductible has been removed, so Intuit is forcing you to go to a third party website to manage this information now. Some guidance seems very vague now... requires use of Google to clarify what I should do. More banners/popups than necessary trying to get you to purchase additional services or change from desktop to online version.
