Issues: 1. there was a question regarding Canadian retirement. I had no idea where this came from. I thought that I had provided my state incorrectly, so I had to review information that I had already provided. Everything was correct, so had to go on-line to figure out how to bypass this because the program would not let me continue without providing this information. It went on to say that it could be a Turbo Tax program error. Fortunately, Google explained how to bypass this. Unnecessary work! 2. regarding Schedule A medical deductions, the program said that if I did not have a certain dollar amount, not to waste my time entering the expenses. So I did not enter this information. Then when it came to CA state return, it says that even though I may not have deducted medical expenses on the federal return, I should go back to the federal return and provide the information because it could possibly affect my CA return, so I had to go back and enter the information ANYWAY even though the federal portion of filing said that because I did not have enough medical expenses to deduct, don't "waste time" entering the information. Unnecessary work! 3. There is an issue at the end with e-filing: beneath the area where it says the state e-filing fee is $15, why is there the statement "you must e-file your federal return, there is a Turbo Tax Premium of $45". I do not HAVE to e-file my federal return plus I had no idea what the Turbo Tax premium was. This statement was what lead me to consult with Google, informing me that I would have to pay $45 to have the $15 CA e-filing fee deducted from my federal tax refund. If I had not consulted Google for an explanation, I would have paid this fee. Please let me know if I have misunderstood. I have used Turbo Tax for many years, and this is the first time that the program was not seamless in that it was necessary to consult Google in order to use the program. Hopefully, you will consider improvements for the next tax season

I did not get ahold of any of your tax experts this year, because I constantly got pressured to buy more product, pay for a tax expert, etc. It seems all Turbo Tax wants is more and more money. It used to be that when you purchased your Turbo Tax product, you were done. I wonder if all the problems with the programming this year was to get people to pay more money to get answers to the problems that were caused by your company.

Everything worked except when I went to submit the taxes , it would not let me. On a 1099-R form box 14. I had 2,000.00 for State taxes. It said something like it can not be more than the distribution (don't remember the exact comment). I had no ideal what to do and I tripple checked the input I put in for the 1099-R. Finally I lost hope with Turbo tax and Googled it and found something about filling in box 16 (which was blank) with what was in box 1. What a lot of time I spent ......

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years but this years version was somewhat disappointing. It would not pull information from previous year files requiring all data and info to be entered from a blank form and some help screens were blank pages.

I have used TurboTax for many years. Normally I purchased the CD and downloaded to my computer. Last year I purchased on-line and found it was identical to the format on the CDs. This year I again purchased the on-line version but found it differed from the format I have grown accustomed to and in several screens, there was some confusion. I struggled through but was uncomfortable with the changes. I even had concerns the on-line version may not be from TurboTax and might be malware.

I was still using Windows 10, and did not know TurboTax would not work with my operating system. I had to use my laptop as a workaround, and consequently a this required extra steps after we had already downloaded it to our desktop. Due to a service provider's lack of diligence, my first pass found 85+- errors due to missing fields in 1099-R's. Having to complete each form was tedious and disappointing. I realize this is not a TurboTax issue.

I've been using TurboTax for around 25 years. After this year's experience, I'm looking for another method for next year. Your software has gotten to the point that it is more about the marketing and pigeon holing customers away from what they desire that it was a fight to make the software work. I want stand alone software and sadly TT is no longer that option. I spend money on stand alone. I don't really get that and I have to fight to avoid the constant push to force me down a software track I do not wish to go. This is not about the tax calculation. hoping that's still correct. It's about a company model that no long puts customer wishes as a priority. Market to me once and then abide by my decision! Even the TT AI feedback GUI won't let users select/deselect the review topic or submit negative feedback without extra work. TT has decided for me. I've decided, too.

I've been using TurboTax from its beginning and have grown accustomed to it. It's easy to use and I have full confidence that my taxes are completed accurately. My returns are pretty basic, so I don't utilize many of TurboTax's features, but it's comforting to known that they are available.

I have used TurboTax for years and one time long ago, I tried another tax program. It fell short of the expectations I have consistently come to expect and appreciate with TurboTax. I understand the need for taxes, though the subject continues to be a necessary living topic, I know I can depend on TurboTax and the Intuit team to ensure I have the tools I need to meet my responsibilities. Thank you all for the excellent work you do to ensure we, the people can be accurately fulfill our obligations. I appreciate the online guidance and the guaranteed result of the documentation provided. TurboTax is easy to follow and provides the features to help remind me of certain things necessary to benefit me the best result.

FORM 6262 PART 3 LINE 19 NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO ALLOW FOR CORRECT GROSS PROFIT % LESS THAN 1. I NEEDED TO USE OVERIDE TO PUT IN 0,9664 AS MY PROFIT % BUT THE SOFTWARE DEFAULTS TO 1. THIS MADE THE CALCULATION ON LINE 24 INCORRECT. AND CAUSES MY CAPITAL GAINS TO BE MORE THAN IT SHOULD BE. I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO E-FILE WITH THE OVERIDE FOR CORRECT AMOUNT ON LINE 24. IT DID ALLOW FOR ME TO PUT THE OVERIDE CORRECT AMOUNT ON SCHEDULE D- HOPE IT IS STILL ACCEPTED BY IRS ALSO SOME FORMS THAT HAD DROP DOWN BOXES FOR THE STATES DID NOT HAVE THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. (WA) ON THEM.
