Guidance in some areas is poor/non-existent - not nearly what it used to be. Help is very limited (only available for additional fees!). In a couple of instances, unrelated pop-up windows appear that have absolutely nothing to do with the current area/topic ("name your Canadian retirement account" in the middle of social security forms! I have NOTHING and never did have anything to do with Canada.) It seems Turbo Tax is ONLY about the money - taking your money under the pretext of "helping" you. These practices just seem to question reliability/dependability. After years of using Turbo Tax, simply wondering if this is the way to continue! So tired of buy this, buy that etc. etc. Seem to be less impressed with Turbo Tax every year.

I usually am happy with turbo tax, this year the california portion form 540 is a problem. Form shows as an error and you have to guess what is missing, once you fill in the information is seems fine until you try to e-file and it says form isn't complete. when you ask to be notified when it's finalized it said no file seleted. California status shows no record of efile submitted even though turbo tax show sent and received. How do i verify file was actually completed.

Good experience, but the HSA part is somewhat confusing. I had HSA distributions from an HSA while I was working but am no longer covered by an HSA since I retired. The questions regarding 'are you covered by an HSA' are open ended. Should I still say 'yes' since I have an HSA account?

At the end, you asked me to download a copy of a new adobe so i could create a PDF. Now i can not send the pdf to my printer and adobe is now asking me to start a trial then pay in 7 days,,,,why could you not leave well enough alone-and you had to advertise for adobe.....

User for 20+ years. Easy to use and navigate. Very thorough. Deluxe Edition works well for my rental properties, small business, and sale of my S-Corp shares. I have seen steady improvement in the user interface through the years and technical support has always been great.

Tax filing is a pain, but turbotax makes it less painful. I used to pay someone to do my taxes. I would gather all my paperwork (which could take hours or days) and then watch him input it into a computer program in just a few minutes. I realized that the hardest part was gathering all the paperwork. So I decided to try turbotax. I have been using it for the last 18 years. My only concern this year is that I heard that ssa recipients would get a $6000 deduction. Turbotax may have given us that deduction but I never saw mention of it. You could have explained a little better how Trump's "No tax on SS" is handled in your program. And if it wasn't handled, you owe me and the wife 6K each.

I was going to file on line.I was unable to because I didn't have my 2024 return. I have every return since 2013 except 2024..So the information requested wasn't available. I tried several times to download it but was unsuccessful. I was denied 4 or 5 times to e-file. I have never had this problem before.

Never had a problem until this year. Have used Turbo Tax for years. Problem with Block 14 and 16 of 1099-R. Block 14 has a dollar amount, block 16 is blank. Turbotax says block 14 cannot be larger than block 16 and flags this as an issue that needs to be resolved before taxes can be transmitted. 1099-R is correct, as block 16 has always been blank in the past.

TurboTax has been good. However, i feel my income was calculated incorrectly...I had to report a W-2G, but it wasnt income as i lost the same amount throughout the year...I was able to itemize my losses...However, the amount on the W2-G was added to my income and ended up putting me in the next tax bracket, even though it wasnt technically income, so i lost money from my refund. This doesnt seem right, so figured id share.

You've got to fix your bugs and reduce your e-file price. Spent 2 hours with support to buy another state return. Also, you claim free federal e-filing and charge $40 and $25 per state for e-file. We are living in 2026 where submitting things electronically is the norm. Charge more for the product and less for the add-ons.
