Tax transmission error and delay

Turbo Tax initially informed me on 2/8/26 that my taxes were transmitted successfully. But in fact they (Fed taxes and State taxes) did not transmit successfully. I discovered 5 days later that my taxes did not transmit when I checked for the status of my taxes.

Disappointed !!!

Have been using Turbo Tax for years but I am a bit disappointed this year , I purchased the deluxe version that was supposed to include 5 free Federal and one state I got nothing , it charged me 65.25 to file both Federal and State and the same for my Daughters return . never had problems when Turbo Tax was available on a CD format wish it will make a comeback on 2026

Turbo Tax is the best.

Slow going at first. Tax documents arrived very late. The Intuit app did not get updated until late January because of factors they have no control over. I made entries early on with info I had and where possible on the app platform. Once all docs were received and app was updated, I had all entries completed and my fed return and VA return done and filed two and a half hours later. I am very pleased and Turbo Tax continues to be the best. Thanks for all you do.

TurboTax Desktop is very good.

Desktop product has very good accuracy, compatibility, features, guidance and interface. I initially tried to use the online product but found it more difficult to understand and use. Thus, I eventually used the desktop product instead. I will stop purchasing and using TurboTax if the desktop product is ever discontinued.

Needs less words, more clarity

Each year it gets more confusing. Why when I started the return it requested access to all devices on the network? Why would I allow that? Also why does it ask to setup an account if I have one from previous returns? I was not able to import from my financial institutions. Said it imported but it did not. Very time consuming to enter manually. Making the app more conversational may be good for some, but for me it was a waste of time, and actually added to the confusion. This isn't social media. You need to be clear and concise. I do like the fact you do all the calculations

Watch out for the needless $40 fee

I was EXTREMELY disappointed to have been offered the subtract from my refund option vs. credit card. Credit card option was $40 LESS than the Turbo Tax way of bamboozling more money out of its customers - and for what? I will be looking at another service next year.

TurboTax is easy and catches errors.

TurboTax is easy to use and the interview style is good. I especially like that the software checks for errors and helps me make corrections. Going forward I would like to see an AI tax specialist integrated into the software to answer questions that I come, as needed.

Great program

Your program worked great. However, the online version had me confused because I just got a new laptop and wasn't able to add pictures of my driver's license or social security. It also required the IRS pin number which I could not remember. IRS tells you to go to their website but once again I could furnish the pictures they required. I decided to go back to the desk top version and had no problem filling my return.

2025 Software Not as Good as Previous Years

This year was worse than previous years. Several links for explanations were blank. Wording wasn't clear in some cases. Some kind of glitch with MA Form M-2210 for underpayment penalty. It was included in the forms view, but wasn't included in the step-by-step view and not included in the final "all forms required for filing" when it was required. Finally found a way to add it by clicking one of the explanation boxes at the top of the form which I hope was the correct explanation. For these reasons, this 2025 year's software was unfortunately disappointing. Still good overall and I used it obviously. Thank you for your hard work on this, but I hope it will be back to better standards like in previous years.

Different from last year

It was different than last year. I liked that last year I was able to use the intuit cost for donations, but was not able to download banking information. This year, I was able to download some banking, but they didn't have the intuit cost for donations. I do not like that you have pay to upload/submit your state returns. If you pay that much for the software all submissions should be free. Also, when you had the disk, you were allowed to put it on 5 machines. With the download, you can't.
