Worst experience in several years of using TurboTax. Interface has changed; walk-through topic questions are more confusing than in the past. Interface feels incomplete. Seems over-simplified. Feels like something was lost in an attempt to dumb everything down. Now feels like a frivolous cellphone app. Will probably NOT use TurboTax next year.

Traditionally Turbotax has been great, but this year it was much more difficult. First, when transferring last year's data, the transfer dropped 1 of my 8 1065 K-1's necessitating having to enter it manually and make sure all C/O's were correct. Second, the Form 1116 calculation was not working at all. I had to force the form to get to the right #'s. For example, when calculating foreign source income, the program would not adjust income for qualified dividends and LTCG's--very disappointing as I had to force the calculation which then through off other aspects of the overall calculation necessitating other forced adj.'s

After 25 years I had a serious problem with downloading information from investment/financial institutions, because incompatibility with Norton. I had two calls with your experts. Both of the experts were very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. The first one thought she had fixed it, but the next day it was blocked from completing because the same compatibility problem. It was resolved, but it required one of your experts talking to another expert to finally solve the problem. They were all very pleasant to deal with, but it required being on the phone for a total of almost two hours.

You make it very difficult to mail in State Taxes. I owe a few dollars so why would I want to pay $25 file electronically when I can mail my check for less than a dollar. I always E-file Fed as it is included. Make it easy to get to the "print for mail" option.

Spend 60 dollars for download. Not a problem. Then Inuit tries to sell you audit protection. Free Federal file with State. Then when you file oh gee 25 dollars to file State then a additional 40 processing fee . They adding adding fees and the cost of download probably be cheaper to have someone else do them. INUIT IS JUST TRYING TO SEEHOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN MAKE OFF YOU NOW DAYS

I've used TurboTax for many years. For some reason it was just harder to use this year - incomplete or confusing instructions, unexpected UI behavior, need to enter repetitive information. My favorite was clicking the "Transmit" button and being told that the transmission failed because there was a newer version of TurboTax that I needed to download. Would have been nice to know before I had traversed a dozen or more screens in the "transmit" section. The instructions for downloading the update referenced a menu item that simply didn't exist in my version (Mac). Most of the my issues were usability related. I have no good way to verify things like calculations, but when I sense a lack of attention to detail in the behavior of the software, it makes me less comfortable with what occurs under the covers. (I worked in financial software design/development for 30+ years.)

Let you e-file without a PIN. The program implies it is optional. There is no way to go back to enter it as your online instructions are wrong. Instructions on right side of screen say "Open TurboTax Desktop. Select Fix my return. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 2025 IP PIN to re-file your return." This is incorrect. There is no option to "fix my return" and no way to get to it. This is a critical bug.

I used TurboTax during the final week of January 2026 for my 2025 federal income tax return. There were minor navigation glitches that I was able to work around. Otherwise, it worked smoothly throughout, including e-filing. (The 2025 tax year software was a significant improvement over the 2024 tax year software in that it wasn't generating forms that were inapplicable. The 2024 tax year software was simply bad.)

I have been using Turbo Tax for numerous years without any problems, did find this years, meaning 2025, has some problems when it came to my 1099-R from both the Depart of Defense and Civil Service. Both of these problems were correct be re-entering the required information before my data was saved upon completion of 2025 Federl and State Tax Returns. No issue were noted on State of Maine returns, all data for state loaded correctly.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years (maybe 15 years?) to file my taxes. My tax reality is not complicated so I feel that I'm pretty much in compliance with federal taxation rules. Each year I attempt to file my taxes as soon as I receive necessary tax documents that are made available by authorities in Jan and sometimes as late as Feb.What I really like about Turbo Tax is tha I'm able to track my tax realities over the years. I have been a little frustrated combining Turbo Tax accounts when I failed to remember my user ID and password.
