If a filer enters the identical information on a form Turbo Tax should have a pop-up stating that there are identical forms and request that the filer confirm that they wish to send the same document twice. It would save a lot of aggravation and corrected filings.

Have been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for years.... the first file I have saved in 1999. Had serious problems acquiring and completing the Federal for 4852. Always did updates when available. Yesterday, I was finally able to use the application to show taxable interest that had not been included on an initial 1099-r. I had been in touch with the issuing company 4 times and they said that the 1099-r was correct and they could not change it. Apparently I filled the surrender form out wrong and it got processed as a 1065 pass through. They offered me no help in correcting my mistake. Yesterday, Turbo Tax Deluxe finally showed me a screen where I could add the taxable interest to the form 4852. Couldn't find it the day before. Maybe the daily update. But there is still a problem with the distribution code. It is a 6 and should be 7 D. I was able to get the Type updated to 7 but could not enter the D. I think the application needs updated to include additional questions when a distribution code is changed. As a result, I am printing the return and mailing it in and adding the D to the form 4852 and hoping that everything else is correct. I think it is OK.

Previous years' I'd give 5 stars. The 2025 version is a downgrade from previous years. The 2025 version removed many key features that Turbotax users depend on. The deployed software was clunky, went through updates that changed the program flow, obviously not ready to take in basic info and process from someone whose used the software for over a decade.

The accuracy was perfect, all imported data was exactly what was shown. This version of TurboTax is the best yet in terms of ease of use. The process to download the software to my machine was a little confusing. Step by step instructions would be useful for those who do not download software frequently. The guidance through each section of the process is excellent and facilitates minimizing taxes due. The only reason I did not give five stars was because there were numerous times the software was "Not Responding" taking several minutes to come back.

You have a major problem with your credit card inputting for the state return. The vertical dropdown box of the month of expiration only goes from 1 to 11. My credit card expires on month 12. And I cant see the 12 to select it. I can't even type the 12, since your program forces me to use the dropdown box which does not show the 12 option. And I cannot resize my window to see the 12. I had to use another credit card that had a non month 12 expiration date, which is silly!!!!

The Turbo Tax software is great! I've used Turbo Tax over 25 years and in my opinion, the biggest blunder you've made is removing It's Deductible.. The Duck software is more user friendly, but it should have been included as a standard part of Turbo Tax rather than having it available for an additional fee.

I had no problem, but new users were confused by online vs. desktop. Online caused confusion, it didn't appear that the 5 individuals stated that could use software was not working for them. It eventually worked itself out., but through tril & error frustration.

Turbo Tax is extremely helpful for completing taxes. However the new user interface for completing Interest and Dividends entry is very poor. in my opinion.It has been this way for a couple years. It is different from every other interface and looks like it was written by a different company. Combining the Interest, Dividend and Capital Gain/Stock sales sections make it very different to make changes later. If you need to update an Interest entry, You have to scroll through all the different other entries to find the one you want. This is my biggest frustration with the tool.

Used to love this program, but I'm already looking for an alternative for next year. No CD is a pain - hate having to download software, struggled to view last years file because I couldn't get logged in to the Intuit account, the limited filings is a real disappoint - no longer worth the effort, have 2 different Intuit accounts for the multiple years which you wont let me combine. Overall, this has been an awful tax filing experience.

It is too difficult to go thru the filing steps. They repeat themselves, like the state drivers license number. And the state PIN shows once and we are not tld to write it down, Not sure where it resides to go back to get it. It was not clear that the fee to take the cost our of the federal refund was much higher than paying by credit card. The uploading of docs needs a better interface. When I click on that step ther e shold be a checklist of what I can download so when I go back a month or so later I can pick another one that is available. Too hard to go back later and figure out how dowload a W2 or 1099.
