I am upset you do not support form 8621 - a simple informational form. I understand there is a cost to programming the interview questions but most of us would be happy just having the form included in the software to fill out ourselves. This missing form means I can't e-file my federal return which means I can't e-file my NY state tax either. If form 8621 is not included in Turbotax next year, I will be using TaxAct which does support this form.

Problem with accepting credit card that had expiration date of 9th month. I had to use someone else's card to get my taxes filed. Next I could not get the 1099-G for Colorado Dept of employment and labor to accept the CO abbreviation. So I had to call the Turbotax help line so I could get my taxes filed.

This product is used because it is the most widely known. It works, but every year there are confusing features and disconnects between information on forms and what is available in the drop-down menus in the software. The options still dont include a "take the standard deduction" button...which is frustrating for veteran tax-filers who don't want to go through 30 menus on information they aren't going to fill out.

To some extent, TurboTax seems to have gone downhill, but that may be due to the emphasis on doing work online (which I won't do). Given the complexity of the tax rules, Turbo Tax does a good job of walking through the items. However, it didn't properly import last year's documents, a review of the paperwork showed I had to go back and clarify something, and filing electronically require shutting down and restarting (unsuggested). Help is now online and not particularly useful.

The accuracy was perfect, all imported data was exactly what was shown. This version of TurboTax is the best yet in terms of ease of use. The process to download the software to my machine was a little confusing. Step by step instructions would be useful for those who do not download software frequently. The guidance through each section of the process is excellent and facilitates minimizing taxes due. The only reason I did not give five stars was because there were numerous times the software was "Not Responding" taking several minutes to come back.

Some data from my Federal return was transmitted to my State return in a format that was incompatible with Schedules I need to file (Hawaii Schedule J). I had to override certain amounts to fill in the Schedules correctly.Also, Turbo Tax did not generate the Schedules When it came time to file my State taxes, Turbo Tax did not give me the option to file by mail or give help in assembling the return for mailing. Turbo Tax no longer gives reminders at the end when filing, such as " remember to file an FBAR", etc. I have used Turbo Tax for decades, but I will not use it again!

Tax year 2025 software is garbage!! I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and have been extremely satisfied up until now. When Turbo tax aligned with windows 11 there were setbacks from the start. I had to download several software updates that worked sporadically, if at all. After multiple attempts to update through the software, I had to go to the website to obtain manual updates myself. This still resulted in run-time errors. I am beyond frustrated that I CANNOT transmit my taxes in a timely manner due to this ERROR CODE 54!!! I expected better from this software!!

I've been using this software pretty much since it came out and have enjoyed using it because it's user friendly. This year was a little frustrating. There were some changes that were ok but others not so much. I highly recommend reviewing your filing in printed format before sending it. I found out, had I not, that I would have made quarterly estimated tax payments for 2026. Something I do not want to do, nor need to do. I had to find how to fix it. I think this only affected State taxes though. Additionally, I don't e-file State because I don't want to pay to do it. The option to print just State is not there. You can do it but you have to play around with the end of the process to make it happen. Super frustrating and wasted some of my time. I'll still use it and still recommend it. Just giving others a heads up.

I really like using Turbo Tax and have done so for many years. It is usually easy to use, directions are clear, works well with my computer, and has all the features I need. I have never had an error issue with any of my filings in all these years. This year I ran into trouble with some of the forms that showed "errors" in the final review. All of these errors were apparently the result of putting zeros in boxes where I had no amounts to enter. The system judged these as errors. I worked with three specialists over a two week period to get this all corrected. A warning in the program would have saved me a lot of time. The 3 specialists, Jessica, Robin, an Zanita were all WONDERFUL! They were patient, super smart, and stayed with me until all the errors were finally corrected. I know there were great technicians involved, too but only learned one name - Ericka. Thank you all!

It wouldn't let me e-file because it couldn't handle a $15 1099-misc I entered it exactly as sent to me. It was the software's fault. I only use it because I can do my children's forms on the same installation and I am familiar with the process. Frustrating to spend half an hour trying to massage the software into working.
