Lost most of my information sometime after a save. Re-entered it. Things that used to be included in the version I bought now require an upgrade for more $$$$$. Can't remember bank account information between Federal and State Versions. Buggy imports from my financial institutions required manually reviewing and correcting line after line. Never prompted me for my IP PIN even though I have used one for years with Turbo Tax.

When I logged onto your website to download the 2025 TurboTax Software, I was rerouted to SoftwareDiscount.com, and my purchase went to them. Now, I'm trying to get a credit. My suggestion, lock your website down so that other Software companies cannot advertise on your website. Other than being rerouted to a different company to purchase the 2025 TurboTax Software, no complaints.

This is a pretty easy program to use for tax preparation. The download of on financial documents from my broker was confusing: one could be led to download multiple copies of documents due to the confusing instructions and you'd end up with duplicate entries on your return. My advice is to pay careful attention; there are rabbit holes on can slip into if not careful. My last piece is to be mindful that TurboTax is relentlessly trying to upsell additional services. Their most flagrant in my case was offering to deduct the $25 state filing charge from your tax refund. Only after agreeing to this scheme, you'll be directed to a page that charges you $45 for the service. If you are not paying attention, you will be tricked into accepting this charge. This is very sleazy behavior, in my opinion.

1. Entering QCD was confusing vs. the previous year (where it was easy) 2. My address is Bloomington (MN), but it appeared to require Minneapolis as the address related to 1099-R (it should accept either one. I never use Minneapolis, since I live in Bloomington 3. I didn't have a 1099-NEC this year, but had one last year. It kept asking for mileage stuff related to the 1099-NEC - until I went back to somehow tell it I had no 1099-NEC - that was ridiculous - it should have asked me if I had a 1099-NEC. I big setback in product quality and ease-of-use vs. the previous years

I have been a faithful user of Turbo Tax for more than ten years - in the past I was a huge fan of the product - its simplicity, its accuracy, its ease of guiding me through the entire process of filling my Federal & state taxes each year was top notch - since the changes that made the product no longer available on a disc that could be loaded onto my computer, and required me to use it as an online product, I have experienced nothing but problems - maybe because I don't understand all the intricacies of using the product, maybe because of slow wifi, or slow internet or whatever, I do not know why; but all I do know is I have problems now that I never experienced in the past, and therefore the product "quality" has dropped significantly in my view - in fact for the first time since I began using Turbo Tax, this year I looked for an alternative product that may be more "user friendly" to me.

There is quite a mess with 5 digits TurboTax PIN code. If you don't enter it then IRS rejects tax return with the error "IND-666-02 - If the Spouse SSN appears more than once in the e-File database, then 'PINTypeCd' must not have the value "Self-Select On-Line".". It actually caused tons of problems for me, a lot of back & force with IRS in order to figure out if there was any identity theft etc. The problem was that TurboTax online version doesn't allow to enter TurboTax 5 digits protection PIN (or at least I couldn't find where it's possible), which causes invalid headers in the tax return and the rejection from IRS.

TurboTax is easy to use. Its direct, easy language, easy to understand what information they're looking for, they go over everything several times if that's comfortable for you, and you can pause any time you wish and you can feel assured everything will return without any problems. The best! Never had any problems using this program.

After 80% of taxes complete desktop program would not open. 10 hours spent researching and attempting to repair. Did NOT call TT as numerous reviewers testified they were of no help. Research indicated Redistributables were likely culprits. Downloaded new ones and eventfully achieved an opening. All fine for...6 Days when problem repeated. Again an hour or two fix. After achieving a restart I put computer in sleep mode with TurboTax still open requiring no further restarts. Help/Search aid was the absolute WORST I've ever experienced on an internet site. It found NOTHING I ever searched for. Google faster and more accurate.

Does not really answer questions. You end up having to go to the internet or the IRS to get more detailed information. It's not worth buying the program for simple taxes with the standard deduction being so large. Money for the program, money to file, advertisements the whole way...spend money to pay money. Thanks.

I already made a comment that I was unable to import any of my information from my bank and my broker. It said I needed Quickbooks or TXF files. I don't have Quickbooks or TXF files, so I had to enter everything manually. That was very annoying. Also, I did not want to file my state tax forms electronically, and indicated that . However everything I printed referred to me filing electronically. My tax form showed a large N after the "e-file opt out" question, and I was unable to change that. I had clicked that I was NOT filing that tax form electronically. I am vey disappointed and that is why I gave only 3 stars this time.
