Every year I have to override one cell to file a proper return. As a result, I have to mail a hard copy. I think I should be able to e-file whatever form I want. If I need to sign a waiver of some sort, then include the reurmn to do so in the program, and e me e-file.

I have used Turbo Tax or over 15 years, and they just seem to be getting worse. First, they no longer have the running tabulation of what is due or will be returned on the top banner. Second, the "convenience charge" for asking to pay with your credit card is beyond absurd and illogical. If someone owes 1000, at your rate of 2.49%, they would be paying $31 to file. Considering most cards only GIVE 1 or 2%, it would actually be a loss. Finally, while there IS fine print, still trying to advertise "Free State" without the filing (an additional $25), is another example of being deceptive and trying to gouge customers at every turn. So MAJORLY disappointed after all these years.

Turbo Tax just isn't improving. This is essentially the same product I stared using in 2013. I used AI this year extensively to answer questions (and even flow) that TurboTax should have answered. I also used AI to find deductions that turbo tax missed!! TurboTax is vey much like Quicken. In it's day, it was great.

Capital gains worksheet downloaded from financial source had ordinary gains coded some of which final review asked for a change in boxes that was NOT in the worksheet download or next level up. On line help with a person could not remedy. The unresolved error message in final review PREVENTED electronic submission even though the recommended fix would still result in ordinary gain recording.

The 2025 version of Turbo Tax seemed a little confusing this year. It also kept giving me an error message on EINs which I reviewed and re-entered without success. This is the first time in over a dozen years that I had this issue and was not able to electronically file. Overall the program is good and I will continue to purchase.

Help Turbo tax Deluxe will not allow me to efile? never had this problem in 14 years with Turbo tax. It is asking for a correct zip code on a Capital Bank and Trust form for my Wife. It is the same as my form and it accepts it. Need to file BY tomorrow.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years now and am happy with it overall. My only suggestion is to get someone to help you write "Guidance" balloons that can translate said expert info into PLAIN LANGUAGE that the rest of can understand. In other words, the experts need to remember what they didn't know when they didn't know it. I spent more then 2 hours trying to figure the directions on sales of stock/crypto, etc. For instance, your wording regarding crypto ownership is NOT the same as that I found on my 1040 AFTER I filed. So, now it looks like I owned Bitcoin as a result of gift, gaming, reward, etc. - when I bought it outright. How much problem that will be - I don't know....but, if I get audited, I will be taking advantage of my free Audit coverage <G>

Since the software will not accept a Payer's Federal ID No. of 00-0000000 the product is useless to me. Due to that issue, I will incur an out of state travel to get forms signed and mailed to meet submittal date. This will be the last year I use turbo tax!

For the most part I found doing my taxes fairly easy as most entries were pretty self-explanatory. However, there were some entries that were not and even when they had a help or explanation button, I still needed further explanation. I found using Chat GPT offered more in-depth explanations which was needed for me to feel confident in the entry.

still better than paper, but the product has lose needed functionality. loss of "it's deductible" is likely a deal breaker for next year. This process of entering charitable deductions used to be seamless. Now it frankly sucks. The user experience sucks when you have to enter many donations of household goods to one charity. Even simple things like multiple cash donations of the same amount are done differently this year. I'm disappointed.
