Product works fine for basic tax filing. It does NOT import information from prior year's tax filing which would have been very helpful. It does not cover things like foreign taxes paid. It asks for some information but does not adequately explain what it is asking for or how to enter it correctly. When the check return function is used, it asks for additional info but it does not explain what it needs. Where it asks for information from prior years' returns, it should be importing this info from prior year's Turbo Tax filing.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 23 years and haven't had much problem doing so. Why am I getting emails telling me I need to add my income? We are retired and I entered all our income from SS and retirement accounts. I found it much more difficult to enter our SS and retirement income this year than in previous years.

I have always used TurboTax in past years and mostly would of had a five star reviews. I can't say that this year. I have to install and un-install the your program 2 times to get the federal tax part to work. Then I had to un-install and reinstall for a third time to get the state tax part to work properly. After all of this trouble, the program did seem to work for me.

I have been a long time user of Turbo Tax, I always find it easy to use, accurate and full of the features I need, This, year, however, I really missed the It's Deductible feature as well as the query that broke down monthly contributions. Would love to see them added back for future versions. It's Deductible was an essential tool in breaking down and itemizing deductions to Goodwill, etc.

clunky and not helpful. Everything always has something not functioning properly. Doesnt help you find more money just asks a bunch of useless questions. Non stop asking for money. every step would you like to spend more money on nothing. No direction for where anything is.

I use TurboTax every year, and it still isn't as easy as it should be. The help feature does not have enough examples and isn't easy to understand. The language needs to be simplified. At the end when trying to do the final steps, it had several questions for me about my entries that should have been caught while inputting the data at the beginning. This was very disappointing. Also disappointing was that TurboTax seemed to be charging me a fee to eFile and have my fee taken out of my return. I had to go ahead and use my charge card instead to avoid the additional fee. I will be looking at other tax software in the future.

1. Turbo tax seems to be ignoring the fact that 50% of teacher pensions in Connecticut are taxed. CT schedule 1 line 45 is blank, yet should deduct 50% of my pension. I will likely have to file an amended return again. 2. When printing the federal return several pages from the banking Green Dot agreement prints in the middle of my tax return where it normally is. 3 I have used turbo tax for years I doubt I will use it again.

We have always needed more information about the PSO benefits, as we are BOTH retired federal peace officers who should be eligible for the 3,000 deduction, but we cannot tell if we only receive one deduction , or both, and there's no guidance regarding this issue. In the past when i looked it up it appeared we could both take the deduction if we both met all the criteria regarding health insurance costs, but there is no turbotax guidance on this matter. And, need guidance on how to figure out of the PSO is given and how to calculate it to determine that. Although thank you for making the program easier to enter this information about the PSO and that we no longer have to re-enter it over and over each time you come back to it, or when you go out of that area than back in and out, having to re-enter it every time..

The only thing that bugs me about TurboTax is that the version I bought "said" it included state, but when you get to the filing part, TurboTax wants $25 to file the state taxes. This is deceptive. If TurboTax says state taxes are included, then don't charge me $25 to file state taxes.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and this has been by far the worse. Bugs go unfixed and error appear with no direction on how to fix. It is not something I would recommend to anyone. I am a CPA so I know the forms and know they are correctly filled but cannot imagine an average person relying on it with blatant bugs and errors that could lead to audit. I suspect these bugs go unfixed so audits occur and TurboTax can sell audit protection. Pretty pathetic. Not sure I will be using it next year.
