For the in-line tax entry, you have options to compute estimated taxes for 2026. Unfortunately, at that point in the process, the information is not available if I use the 2025 as a guide. So, I will return to that portion after finishing a first cut of the 2025 forms. I think the estimated tax computation should be available after the 2024 is done. Also, some widows for entry of dividend, interest info do not have the name of the current institution being currently done. Adding that may help.

1). I was late in starting my taxes since you did not announce you had a version for the Mac computer until late March. (I was already looking for a tax preparer.) 2) I feel the 2005 version is 'dumbed' down from previous versions. 3) After e-filing my return, I received no confirmation of the filing, other than a later email saying my files were accepted by Feds & State. 4) The $ charge for filing I thought would include a discount. 5) Many steps to go through to figure out how to print files. 6) Yearly complaint: Listing of my form names is not in alphabetical order option, not in IRS Form number order, but in non-sensenical order

I have used Turbo Tax for over 30 years. This years version is not as good. No state vouchers for 2026 estimated taxes. And I can't locate the information I have already entered to create the Fed vouchers. It wants me to reenter all my estimated numbers. Poor planning on Turbo Tax. Numerous other changes and numbers don't always flow through.

I can't remember exactly where it was, but some of the Guidance questions were so vague. I do remember one spot in the guidance where it was talking about entering Social Security amount below where it already had an amount and it did not give enough information for me to easily understand what numbers if any I should be entering. So if that was fixed it would be nice. Just don't put guidance questions that are to vague or don't give enough information as to where to find the information for that spot. Need to give more information on several guidance questions. I also feel like that when purchasing this product, that the State E-Filing should also be free.

I was very disappointed with Turbo Tax this year. I had a significant amount of difficulty transferring my data from last year. In addition, despite the fact that I had stock sales transactions last year, questions related to this topic did not appear in this year's program. I could not find where in Turbo Tax to enter the data. Fortunately, I have a friend that is a CPA and she informed me that since Turbo Tax was not prompting me with questions, I had to go into Schedule D and enter the information on my own. However, I encountered difficulties there also as initially it would not permit me to enter my data. The only way I could enter it was in a consolidated fashion. Fortunately my friend was able to help me resolve the problem so that I could complete my taxes. I also, I was not able to obtain an Home Improvement Energy Credit I was entitled to as I did not have the QMID number and the program would not allow me to override it. The reason I use Turbo Tax is that in the past it has been easy to file my taxes. This year it was very difficult and if this continues I will be forced to utilize a different product.

Turbotax incorrectly imported 2 separate 1099-R forms from my Merrill-Lynch accounts. Had I not caught this mistake, the error would have caused me to overpay federal taxes by $700 and overpay state taxes by $600 (plus a state penalty of $70 for under-payment). If TTax can't even do a simple import correctly, it seriously shakes my confidence in the entire product.

Downloaded versions MUST and SHOULD automatically save as infomation is inputted. It shouldn't only be the online version that automatically saves. I lost close to 4 hours of time working on my taxes when the screen froze and I couldn't save my work. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used TurboTax for a long time, so is easy to keep using it each year. I also like that I can use it for filing five federal returns which covers my family. I did not like that it no longer covers the cost of one state return. Also, the State return is a bit wonky in how it works compared to the Federal return since you always have to proceed through the entire questionnaire every time you edit the return.

Never had a problem with TurboTax calculations. Sometimes have to search to see whether a particular topic has been covered (ie. QCDs when completing charitable donations), but generally fairly easy to use. The interface has improved a lot over the past few years, especially for Mac users.
