Tax year 2025 software is garbage!! I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and have been extremely satisfied up until now. When Turbo tax aligned with windows 11 there were setbacks from the start. I had to download several software updates that worked sporadically, if at all. After multiple attempts to update through the software, I had to go to the website to obtain manual updates myself. This still resulted in run-time errors. I am beyond frustrated that I CANNOT transmit my taxes in a timely manner due to this ERROR CODE 54!!! I expected better from this software!!

It's Deductible! has been incredibly helpful for many years. It's a shame you chose to discontinue its availability. And it really doesn't make much sense - the values are still available on your system. You now make your user create their own spreadsheet to support their deduction. This is going backwards, TurboTax!

Would have been 5 stars, but when attempting to file, product failed validation and I had to wait until another update was available to download to clear. I love how turbo tax always makes things easy for me. I had an issue since I didn't file a return from a previous year. I called to talk with a representative and they were super helpful. They literally stayed on the phone with me until I was comfortable to move forward on my own. I am for sure using Turbo tax again next year!

using Turbo Tax for multiple years and it easy and straight forward to use. Only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5 stars is not listed as being compatible with Windows 10. From what I understand, i see no reason TurboTAx shouldn't be compatible with Windows 10. While I recently got a Windows 11 computer, my mom (age 92) isn't getting a new computer and I do her taxes. I am at least going to try to download TurboTax on her unsupported machine. If that doesn't work, we will have to choose between me hauling my desktop to her place or bringing all her tax documents to mine. For security reasons, I do not consider TurboTax on-line an option.

Turbo Tax is very helpful for preparing my tax returns. But trying to E file my state tax return has been horrible for years. I select to pay for E filing the state tax return by credit card and Turbo Tax page stays grayed out so the information does not go anywhere. As a result, I have to call someone in Turbo Tax support to have them make the purchase using my credit card and then they give me the authorization. This has been like this for as long as I can remember. On March 12, 2026, I attempted to file my taxes and had the same problem with the credit card information staying grayed out. This credit card is one that was on file with Turbo Tax. A purchase was made on March 12th for $25 for E filing my state tax. The authorization never came down that I was supposed to get. This morning March 13th, I again attempted to E file my taxes. This time as I put information in for the credit card purchase, the Continue box allowed me to click on it. It cost me another $15 in addition to the $25 on March 12th to file the state tax. Something has got to get better.

The printing & saving of the state return was not very easy and required me to jump thru hoops to figure out how to do it since I wanted to mail the state return. you have everything focused on e-filing the state. It needs to get easier or I will need to use other options.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years, it was always very easy and straight forward. many explanations, help tips, etc. this year there was an option to pay $60 for live tax expert instead. the GUI was so cumbersome and unhelpful, it was frustrating. I was not about to pay for a customer service experience that would have left me just as frustrated. Previous years were, the GUI was very polished, and easy to understand. There were very few mistakes made that I had to go back and correct. this year was so full of bugs, causing me to constantly go back and try to figure out what was wrong. This year took me over 6 hours to get me through something that would take me Barely 2 on a rough year. I can see the direction this product is taking, and I will not be using any more. I will be looking for a different option next year. Accuracy, Features, Guidance, and interface all were frustrating, cumbersome, and very user unfriendly this year. You need to do better.

I would have rated it a 5, however at the end, since I had 2 1098s, it pulled up one of the worksheets telling me I had to mark one as the most current. I kept looking at the worksheet and i did not have a spot for this. I finally went back into the original section for 1098s and marked Yes for the most current one. If it had directed me back to that section, I would have saved 30 minutes of trying to figure out what it wanted me to do. Also for payment plans, I wanted to go to IRS to do this but system would not allow me to proceed without submitting the request .

TurboTax was very disappointing this year with updates so far behind that we couldn't file until 3/6/2026 (due to Energy Credits form having major recurring issues). I spoke with a live expert who was respectful but took 45 minutes to finally tell us that TurboTax had to release another update before being able to file (this should have been a very quick response once they were told what the issue was).
