Have been a Turbo Tax user for twenty-five years. Overall, it's a good product. I don't like the forced s/w updates every time I start the s/w...it used to provide options to update or not...causes me multiple instances of wasted time. Also, the constant attempt to up-sell additional services is offensive and annoying. When I buy s/w to perform a service, that's what I want...just do it. Don't try to keep selling me "more stuff".

I have been using TurboTax for years and this has been by far the worse time I have had using the program. First of all it took several hours to download the program and then it took several times of entering the same information to finally get the program to save it. I felt that the program was less user friendly than in the past.

This year was really not used friendly. It tried to add a pension plan not every used in prior years. Also, really I need a nickname. Really, How juvenile. This is so intrusive. Again very NOT friendly user. Took me more than 4 hours to do my return and my mothers return.

Your Ai system could not understand my question. Further, the "online" version gave me no easily visible option for entering my wife's data. Had to start all over with the manual version which gave me all the same helpful information shown on the online version. As said, though, the online version seemed to give me no option for entering my wife's joint data. The upselling for services seemed a "Cheap upsales shot" - not professional.

I've been a TurboTax user for over 35 years! My most helpful year was when I moved to New York State and had to prepare returns for myself and for my two children who had trust accounts. That required producing three federal returns, three state returns for Michigan, and returns for New York State and New York City. I was awash in tax forms that year. As a retiree, I am faced with the sometimes difficult task of preparing estimated taxes. Some mutual funds do not make capital gains payouts until December, and the amount of said payments are usually unknown until they are paid in December. Yet, the estimated tax features in Turbo Tax have become sparser and sparser, harder to find in the product, and entirely inadequate. Instead, estimated tax calculations and forms seem to be simply populated with the most recent year's data without allowing any capability to change elements making up one's adjusted gross income. Please address this shortfall.

Intuit is a greedy company. You did away with the CD media saving you tons of money then you raise the price!! Constantly hitting me up for a tax accountant - Why do you think I bought turbo tax if I'm going to pay for a tax accountant, yet you constantly hit me up for hiring an advisor. Do you really have to look for every possible way to extract money from my pocket. It's really getting OLD!!

When I logged onto your website to download the 2025 TurboTax Software, I was rerouted to SoftwareDiscount.com, and my purchase went to them. Now, I'm trying to get a credit. My suggestion, lock your website down so that other Software companies cannot advertise on your website. Other than being rerouted to a different company to purchase the 2025 TurboTax Software, no complaints.

I have the desktop version of TurboTax Deluxe and I am working in the Ohio State Module. For the Scholarship Donation Credit (SGO), it appears you can only input two different organizations for the credit. My spouse and I have spread this credit out over 6 different organization. Add more SGO inputs

I purchased expert advice for $50.00 US. I spoke to an agent named Antonio. We discussed the issues I was having and he was very gracious in realizing that I had more knowledge in the US/Canada Tax Treaty than he had . When I taught him the required items from the treaty, it was recognizable that the tax software did not allow direct methods to solve the issues of US Social Security taxed only in Canada and the exclusion of eared income from Canada for a US citizen living in Canada. Antonio was extremely appreciative of this new knowledge and hopefully Turbo Tax will adjust the software to account for these issues. Consideration should be given to allow a Canadian resident to e-file their taxes.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over the past 10 years. It's very user friendly and cover all the necessary details to do your taxes correctly. I have never had an issue during this time, only audited once, and Turbo Tax handled all conversations with the IRS and corrected my problem. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you prefer doing your taxes yourself.
