As usual Turbo was fairly easy to use. However, i encountered a loop in the logic when entering info from a part of my income that had capital gains. After I entered the info from 1099-DiV portion including other boxes beyond lines 1a & b and 2a, I had difficulty navigating to enter addition data from Form 1099-B for ST & LT Broker Transactions. It keep sending me back to confirm my capital gains distributions on line 2a. I played with answering subsequent questions to get me out of that loop. In past year filings this wasnt a problem.

I have used TurboTax for years, always the desktop version. Recently, I have been hit in the face with; do it for free, do it on line (needs too much internet connection time), hire someone to fill in the numbers (if only they could gather the information), pay for expert advice (transfer the number in box 2 to the box 2 in the tax program), and bet on audit chances. E-mails, TV ads (I could be riding my bike while my taxes are being done - good luck finding my prescription receipts with me not at home) all cost money that could be used to lower the price of your software.

You've got to fix your bugs and reduce your e-file price. Spent 2 hours with support to buy another state return. Also, you claim free federal e-filing and charge $40 and $25 per state for e-file. We are living in 2026 where submitting things electronically is the norm. Charge more for the product and less for the add-ons.

We have been using Turbo Tax since 2006! Satisfied with their guidance and accuracy. Even though it has been more expensive for the software and then the fee for filing the State, we still believe Turbo Tax helped us complete our taxes accurately and efficiently.

Purchased in early December but found that no forms or calculations and few features were available until January. Found the Forms tab in the menu bar was more useful than the Easy Step. The 2025 12k deduction from the BBB was not working in the What If page; did not do subtraction.

TurboTax is as reliable as ever. I've used it for 40+ years and never been disappointed. This year encountered a software problem - the program froze and displayed an error message. There was no way to proceed. The automated system recommended a fix, that did not fix. I called requesting live tech support. After a frustratingly long wait, the tech was able to get everything working properly again. High marks for TutboTax tech support.

A number of different spelling errors and typos in the version this year along with the long editions of the Home Energy Tax Credit forms 5695. They only added them to the online version at first that they charge quite a bit more and it took them a few weeks to get the form added to the desktop version

I am a long time user of Turbotax deluxe. This year I had problems importing my tax information from Ameriprise Financial. I finally figured it out after reviewing the community site. Otherwise, the process worked well and I am pleased with the results.

I don't know what you all did to turn Turbo Tax software into garbage. I have been using the program for more than 10 years to do my mother's taxes, and it was always very easy. I used for the first time the scan feature for 1099-R's and once scanned much of the data did not appear. I started the old fashion way before scanning and the boxes on my forms did not match up with the template to enter information. I did the State Taxes, and she has never owed State Taxes and now all of a sudden, she does. I'm almost now forced to have a professional tax preparer look this mess I have over!

The program interface remains familiar over the years, so doing taxes is quick and easy. The amount of upselling to the online version and to their "experts" is OVER THE TOP! I will be looking for an alternative to TurboTax next year, as I am sure other programs are equally good, and don't have the upselling.
