Generally, the instructions were good. I kept getting flagged for a "correct" zip code from the State Retirement System. I used the one provided by SCRS and used on my 2024 Federal Tax form. It wouldn't accept it and told me to file my mail. I had already paid the electronic filing fee!

Turbo Tax is very helpful for preparing my tax returns. But trying to E file my state tax return has been horrible for years. I select to pay for E filing the state tax return by credit card and Turbo Tax page stays grayed out so the information does not go anywhere. As a result, I have to call someone in Turbo Tax support to have them make the purchase using my credit card and then they give me the authorization. This has been like this for as long as I can remember. On March 12, 2026, I attempted to file my taxes and had the same problem with the credit card information staying grayed out. This credit card is one that was on file with Turbo Tax. A purchase was made on March 12th for $25 for E filing my state tax. The authorization never came down that I was supposed to get. This morning March 13th, I again attempted to E file my taxes. This time as I put information in for the credit card purchase, the Continue box allowed me to click on it. It cost me another $15 in addition to the $25 on March 12th to file the state tax. Something has got to get better.

Excessively rigid and inflexible. I want to be able to enter the amounts of Estimated Payments that I select, but could find no way to do that. It requires answering the same list of questions for repetitive entries, instead of asking if those answers apply to all of the entries. I've been a user for many years, but am considering using something else next year.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have found it reliable and pretty easy to use. I thought I would try Turbo Tax online this year and it was a disaster. I will never willingly try the online version again. The interface seemed not as easy as in past years. Maybe I am just getting older.

TurboTax is a very effective and easy to use tool. A nice feature would be to have TT compile a summary of all forms (W-2, 1099-R, 1099-MISC, etc) used in previous years return providing institution name and amounts that could be used as a pre-return checklist/reminder to assemble most likely paperwork needed to begin tax reparation.

i HAVE BEEN A TRUBO TAX USER BEFORE TURBO TAX WAS TURBO TAX. SOME OF THE CHANGES HAVE SLOWED DOWN THE TAX PREPARATION PROCESS AND IN FACT HAS MAD ME FILE AMENDED RETURNS FOR FEDERAL AND STATE. IN PREVIOUS YEARS QCD ENTRIES WERE A SIMPLE ONE BOX IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE ENTRY OF THE IRA'S. NOW IT CONTAINED IN A LISTING OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT ITEMS AND IS NOT READILY IDENTIFIABLE. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. THERE IS A QUESTION ARE YOU A UNITE STATES CITIZEN with small question regarding living i income in a foreign country. a foreign country.. UNFORTUNATELY I CHECKED YES TO THE QUESSTOIN ARE YOU A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND ENDED UP NOT PAYING TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY. THE WORDING MIGHT BE ARE A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND DID YOU LIVE IN A FORIGN COUNTRY YES NO. ALSO FILIING A 1040 X IS NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD. WOULD BE EASISER TO BE ABLE TO SELECT A 1040X FROM LISTING OF FORMS AND IT WOULD BE POPULATED WITH THE CURRENT YEAR AMOUNTS ALREADY FILED THEN ENTER THE CHANGES. SIMILAR WITH PREVIOUS YEARS INPUT. CHANGES FOR ENTRY OF INTEREST, DIVDENDS IS REALLY SLOW TO GET TO THE RIGHT PLACE TO ENTER THE DATA. ALL IN ALL PREVIOUS GENERATONS HAVE BEEN BETTER FROM A USERS STANDPOINT.

The actual preparation of my taxes went very good. My problem is that it took me hours of research to find how to do the latest update to Turbo tax on my Macbbook Pro before it would allow my submission. I finally found it in a 2024 chat that I found doing a google search. So this has evidentially been a problem for a while. There needs to be a very visable "Updates" button on your menu.

I have used Turbo Tax for 15 years and found it less clear this year. Also, when I went to upload my financial information from my broker it took me to a retail site's information. I triple checked that I was typing the correct account number but it took me to a different account each time.

1. Inconsistent presentation in each login. In the days of AI, it loses what was said earlier. 2. I got confused with my 1099-R auto-downloaded data. 3. When I thought Review was successful in one run, it asks mor questions on the second run if I happen to logout and login. I dont know why it discovers to questions after a successful review.

The absolute WORST TurboTax experience of my life. It could not have been MORE painful if Intuit Corp had hired extra programming staff with the express goal of designing the process to be MORE painful. I will never purchase another product or service from Intuit again in this lifetime.
