Everything was fine, not sure where it showed up but it was asking me for Canadian income and I never said I had any. and another was the interest on an account. I never received a 1099-int form but wanted me to continue filling one out. After a few attempts, I was able to bypass both issues. I'm only mentioning this because i never seem to have ran into this before. Update: I really had quite a time with some things, a lot of little quirks. Someone really needs to check the software again. I went to do my state and it told me I was done. I couldn't get into the state until i came out of the program and then back in again.

Turbotax is MUCH more difficult to use than it used to be --- you provide much less information, and much less access to the regular tax forms to follow along with what is going on as we will in information. And don't answer questions AT ALL!!! I may need to find myself another way to do taxes next year, even though I've used Turbo Tax for many years now.

Desktop version remains a good and consistent format while incorporating updated requirements for filing. I suggest maintaining core format in future versions. For example, employee stock plan redemption adjustments is much easier to navigate than previous years

I think that the updates take a long time. Also, I noticed that the access to my computer popup is behind the TurboTax banner and not off to the side where I can see it and give permission to allow access. This results in an error that is not clearly defined, i.e. "Must grant access to computer for updates to be installed" instead a cryptic message is shown that doesn't have any relationship to the give access popup.

Was not very good. Have used Turbotax for 24 years and the software has gotten much worse. If you aren't aware of the need to enter data, or the expected outcome, your return will not be accurate. I had the feeling throughout that I was being pushed to use the live online help

After all these years, their programmers still haven't figured out how to allow the cursor to scroll. As well, when a correction needs to be made per IRS, when you enter the corrected information, TurboTax doesn't resubmit the electronic filing and just keeps rotating screens instead. Sucks!

There is a glitch on form 7206 line 11 which incorrectly calculated my taxes. I had to contact a turbo-tax professional to correct the issue and we had to manipulate the information on the forms to get the correct calculations and then file an amended return. I found it in reviewing my taxes from previous years. The professional was very good but I don't think the people he had to contact to resolve the issue understood the problem. I feel someone at Turbo Tax should have corrected the forms when it was brought to their attention..

For the most part, everything was straightforward. The only problem I encountered was when I went to transmit, TurboTax kept telling me that there was a problem from my 1099R entry. The only way I could get past the error was to enter the "Gross distribution" amount (line 1, form 1099R) for the "State Distribution" amount (line 16 form 1099R). I've never had that problem in the past, and I have used TurboTax for 10+ years.

It's difficult to get help with specific questions. I was not able to get answers to questions about IRA conversions from Simple IRA to a Roth IRA. All I needed was to find where to check to see if the amount was entered. A document search would be helpful

This was the most difficult year to use Turbo Tax I've experienced. There was one "error" that prohibited me from being able to file until I corrected it and it was a box that had a "0" in it. It made Turbo Tax think I had a credible value and needed to file an additional form "not supported by Turbo Tax". There should be better instructions to leave blank if a zero causes errors. Also, Turbo tax is not easy to navigate between sections and all the updates weren't available until after January 31st. Frustrating.
