I have used Turbo Tax for 15 years and found it less clear this year. Also, when I went to upload my financial information from my broker it took me to a retail site's information. I triple checked that I was typing the correct account number but it took me to a different account each time.

Your Updater does not work properly. It hangs up during updates then sends an error code. Overall, the software appears to be quite a bit less user friendly and clunky than previous editions. Deleted forms do not stay deleted. Rogue forms show up on their own. I will use another tax program next year unless I am apprised of positive changes made to TT.

I have been using the PC version Turbo Tax for years, but this is the first year I tried the macOS version. First, the good. While Turbo Tax has always done a great job of helping to make sense of our Tax laws and codes, there are always confusing questions or prompts that have me making use of the program's extensive help or opening up a browser window to search for answers. This year, I only found myself doing at once - a few of topics that tripped me up last year seemed better worded making it easier to understand what I needed to enter. As for the bad, this years software lacked the polish and presentation I'm used to. Checkboxes that don't line up with the associated choices, the W2 import screen that had a box for last year's income that thought it was a password box (can't see what you type). Nothing too terribly bad - just sloppy. Then the annoying bugs - The option to transfer last year's return didn't work - had to do a web search to find that opening the old return did work. I'm happy, though, that I was able to open files created with the Windows version on my Mac. The second time I opened Turbo Tax it presented window to download the state add-on which didn't work. But opening my return and downloading the state add-on from the main program did work. I got around the issues so I'm happy, but again, it lacks the polish and presentation I'm used to with this product. Is this an ongoing thing with the macOS version?

I was appalled when learning after paying over $70.00 for the Turbo Tax Software, you then wanted me to switch to Turbo Tax Online and then then double what I had already spent for an online Consultant or what have you. I'm not sure I like the direction you're going in and will be considering ending my automatic renewal for next year. I'm skipping the review, I don't it's a good idea to put anything in writing at the moment.

It took multiple tries to connect with the with turbotax update service at the time of completing and filling the return. Also, for some undetermined reason the residence property tax could not be entered even though I was taking the standard deduction.

TurboTax easily install with frequent updates throughout the tax season. The question stems can be confusing at times. The guidance/help topics are of limited value. Might be better to make a query on an AI site. Would be nice to see how some of the aggregated numbers from forms/schedules are calculated by double-clicking on the number on the form of a statement of where the value originated from.

On the whole, I like Turbotax, but this year proved frustrating, primarily on the final step. As the person who prepares our taxes, I had applied for an IP Pin and received it. Then I found that there is no place to enter it on the final page - only a 5-space blank. Because my husband did not have an IP Pin, I could not use mine - I had to go back and delete my IP Pin in order to put my old Pin # on the form. Time wasted applying and deleting - in the end, I have no IP pin!

TurboTax is a very good product, and couple that with Quicken and one can't lose. They say that income taxes are a year-round project and they are right, but with Quicken around during the year it keeps track of everything for its eventual transfer to TurboTax at tax time. Love them!

The major issue this year related to reporting non cash contributions sch as donated household items and clothing. We made multiple donations of multiple items on multiple occasions and the entry and valuation methodology used by turbo tax will make me look at other options next year. It took me longer to deal with this than it did to complete the rest of the tax filings.

I have used Turbo many years but this may be the last. After several schedules that were unnecessary had to be corrected without any good information on how to find them, I was finally allowed to file. Soon afterward Turbo told me my filing was rejected and that I would get specific information on what to fix when I got back on the program. There was no such information, rather I was prompted to file again, as if I had never filed before. Now I am waiting to inevitably be rejected again. I was already fed up with the non-stop upselling interrupting my progress in filling out my taxes, now this -- the stuff that used to work so smoothly on TurboTax no longer does. You had a great product and somehow messed it up. :(
