You have a defect on the page to enter a payment address when paying for state return. When using a laptop you are not able to access the bottom of the form to continue to enter your payment. Due to this issue I had to go to a different set up so that I could hook up a large monitor to complete my filing. In addition, saying that my state return is free and then charging $25.00 to file it is dishonest.

I've given a poor review for a number of reasons. 1. Non-support of the product with Windows 10 - Okay so I had to purchase a new computer with Windows 11 for $500 to use your product. 2. Downloading my investment 1099's were a complete pain. I eventually got them but spent countless hours getting them to DL. 3. Trying to finally e-file my Fed taxes I get and error code "Humm this is not working at this time". Last year everything went very smoothly so if this is your new and improved 2025 version let me be polite... It needs work!!!

Good product in general, some special tax situations need improvement. Specifically, TurboTax did not know how to handle w-2s from two different states where one state's w-2 had all the federal and state info on it and the 2nd state's w-2 had only that state's income info in boxes 15, 16 and 17, but nothing entered in box 1. AI told me I had to add that info to the 1st w-2 within turbotax so that I only had one w-2 from the same employer. I was getting an error with e-filing when I tried to use both of the w-2 forms that were sent to me.

There must have been a glitch because turbo tax DID NOT calculate my sales tax deduction. I had to use the IRS sales tax calculator and then I said I would put in my sales tax. This error would have cost me $400 more in paying my federal taxes. This did not happen in 2024. Also, please review your questions. I think it should ALWAYS say "did you have any of these items?" Not "are you ready to ..." That is confusing.

The section on selling a rental was not intuitive and confusing. It can be made simpler by asking a series of pointed interview questions and providing an example. Paying for each state submission was frustrating. There is no longer even a complimentary submission included in the purchase price. At some point AI will become an option for preparing taxes for all but the most complex returns, it would be appreciated if you rewarded customer loyalty by giving long time users complimentary State submissions. Thank you.

I have used your product(s) for many years and. appre ciate their technical proficiency. but most of all your specialists are the best. They are very patient and knowledgeable, understand the product, and make you feel good about yourself- even though most of the time you are the one making the mistakes that they helped correct. make the best way to file (standard deduction vs itemizing) more obvious. when I clicked to find the most deductions, you didn't even offer that I would pay only 1/3 of the taxes the standaard deduct would allow. Why? I had already put in all of my deductions. And you automatically chose automatic deduction ...I had a hard time finding the slide to change to itemizing. too obscure. Also, some of the explanations (highlighted ) revealed no information. What? Why?!

I discovered an error in 2025 TurboTax Deluxe that incorrectly transferred data from my federal return to my state of Michigan return. Had I not been suspicious and spent over an hour going through forms, line by line, it would have been a $600 error in my state return. I'd be happy to explain it to one of your representatives. In exchange, I would like my payment for this year's software returned to me. Or I would except a coupon for a free download for next year.

I was disturbed that for the second year in a row I was unable to import my info from the prior year I found last year's .tax2024 document, but when i clicked on transfer, i just got a beep several times in a row. Ive been using TurboTax for decades and only recently has this function failed.

We have been using TurboTax (Mac, desktop) for as long as it has been available (formerly MacInTax) and we would have a tough time switching now. I am not always happy with the UI changes that come out with each new version, however. This year it was the GIANT buttons (why?) and the need to delete old imported doc references after new ones (same vendor) were imported (seems like the program should have been smart enough to overwrite). I was also annoyed by the "Canadian Pension" glitch that took many attempts to delete. But in the end everything was fine. PLEASE do not ever stop releasing for Mac.
