These are Doritos Light or think of them as a different chip from Doritos. We're Doritos lovers who grew up eating them, but I'd like a healthier choice. I gave them 2 taste tests. First, I tried them when I hadn't recently eaten Doritos. I really liked the flavor of these and could tell it was a lighter version, but they were great! I then tried them with a very thick dip and had no problem, but I think it's all about your technique. If you just grab the corner and jab into a dip it's going to break. If you hold it with a bit more support and scoop, it holds up great. After this taste test, they were a hit! I was right there with all the reviewers who loved them. Yay for getting rid of chemicals in food! Doritos vs NKD - Two weeks later I did a side-by-side tasting, and NKD tasted really bad! It was quite off putting. I tried them both plain and with pico. Yuck! I understood the bad reviews. Some chemicals just taste good. (Dr Pepper) Adjust your expectations and consider them a seasoned nacho chip that kind of reminds you of Doritos, because Doritos they are NOT. Today, on their own, and with adjusted expectation, they're yummy.

I wasn't expecting to like these at all because I love regular Doritos that I use that as my bar and although this one to me isn't as good as regular Doritos this chip is really good like you can tell the difference but not really the crunch seems a little different but this is full of flavor very very close to the regular ones so if your someone who like the no additives or things like that than don't hesitate this one is like that it hits hard for a basically naked chip I'm impressed good job Doritos

just didn't have the nacho cheese taste. i wanted the No dyes heathier version but this one didn't do it for me. Now the Cheese Puffs were Perfect!! I'm hooked on those!!

The crunchy joy without the artificial flavors %26 dyes! Bonus points because they don't leave your fingers messy and colored, so you can eat them in more places!

I love these. I admit I may not be the target consumer. I’ve never enjoyed Doritos. Something about their appearance has always thrown me off. Generally speaking, flavor blasted powdered snacks are unappetizing to me. If you eat with your eyes, then that’s been my experience. These NKD Doritos don’t look unappealing to me. And they taste delicious. My kids say they can taste the difference and don’t like them as much (there’s your target consumer). But when we blind folded them they couldn’t tell which is which. It doesn’t matter. Kids are kids and when they the NKD chip in their lunch box it comes back home, haha.

I do like these, BUT, as someone who has been eating the nacho cheese flavor for over 30yrs, I can taste a slight difference in flavor. Subtle.... but there none the less and Im just not as attracted to the lighter color. Still prefer the original and thankfully, the original will remain. Good option for those concerned about the dyes though.

Snack companies are having to change their food formulas in order to be allowed into schools in California. So I was curious to try these. The overall taste is great. If you close your eyes, they are pretty similar to the original. Most of all the crunch is the same and that’s what sets Doritos apart from other brands. My family does not generally consume snacks like this. I bought them for the superbowl and wanted to review them to let people know they are a better alternative. However, frito lay in Canada and Europe still has “cleaner” ingredients than these. They are on the right track, but it is weird they didn’t take it all the way.

I love Doritos, I do believe these are better than the original Their light, extremely flavorful. I must say it was strange to open the bag and not see an orange chip. But once I tasted it, it’s the way all food should be we need to get rid of the dyes and the fake crap lol these are amazing. I will always buy these!

Making healthier choices without food, dyes and preservatives. I love chips so I had to get away from them because they were so unhealthy but finding these new ones without any food additives or colors has been really great even my grandkids love them.

I am so excited they finally did this!!!!! I love Doritos but I stopped buying them because of the dye and other a harmful stuff. So happy I can buy then again and know I'm not eating all that bad stuff. And they taste great! Who cares that they're not bright orange. All that mess was totally unnecessary.
