The soil has a nice fluffy texture and feels well balanced with organic material. It was easy to spread and didn't have big chunks like other bagged soils. I noticed soil retained moisture well while still draining properly. My spinach grew beautifully, the adjusted quickly and started to grow healthy within the first weeks.

Also I like this soil because it gives my plants the nutrients that they need to help grow bigger and stronger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soil smelled very earthy, yet clean with no scent of any chemical pesticides or fertilizers. The consistency was great, no big chunks of bark, no hard solid clumps of dirt. This soil is light and airy, as well as very fine, no big chunks of organic material. It was also very easy to spread. I'm excited to see what my plants think of it as we get closer to spring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful dark rich soil! There's snow outside and we wanted to temporarily pot this lovely Amaryllis a friend gave us. This soil was perfect for it. We even decided to get a start on sprouting some early crops in trays before the last frost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Back to the Roots Premium Hybrid Raised Bed and Garden Soil right before a large snowstorm in the middle of winter, so I haven't been able to use it yet in my outdoor planters as planned. That said, I did end up using some of it to re-pot one of my cacti. While this isn't the ideal soil type for cacti, it worked well enough as a temporary solution until I can switch to a more specialized mix. The soil itself feels high quality, rich, and well blended, and I'm confident it will perform really well in raised beds and outdoor planters once the weather warms up. I'm looking forward to putting it to proper use in the spring.

I packed it around the new privacy trees I planted! Checked the pH level and I am impressed. Overall pleased with this soil so far.

It’s a bit of a rough time to have basil indoors (New England winter), but this soil along with grow lights has been keeping this basil alive! Highly recommend. Haven’t needed to fertilize yet either, it’s been about a month since I re-potted and it’s been steadily growing.
