The pie was amazing! The perfect amount of rich, crumbly oreo crust, decadent chocolate filling, and topped off with a creamy whipped topping %26 tasty little chocolate curls! Perfect to bring to Holiday Gatherings or enjoy at home after a meal. Delicious! Highly recommend!! And the price is unbeatable. Great value!

Pie has changed. Not the same as years past. Chocolate cookie base is too much. White topping is not light and fluffy. It's tuff almost dry out tasting. Very sad about this pie. I actually through it in the garbage! I've never done that to a pie ever. Sam's go back to your old recipe Don't buy

Sadly, not the same. there's much less filling and the new pie crust is pretty horrible. I used to buy this pie every time I went to Sam's club and it was available. After last time, I do not think I will be purchasing this again unless they go back to the old crust and fill the pie properly. very very sad...

Like everyone else, we have been awaiting the return of the french silk pie. Whoever thought this change was a good idea should be looking for a new job. What a disappointment. The filling is runny and disgusting. Into the trash it goes. Do yourself a favor and buy the $5 Marie Callander chocolate pie.

This pie was such a disappointment. I actually thew about half away. The cream topping was not good at all and we preferred the crust used last year. The previous recipe was fantastic..we bought 2 of those last year. I will not be buying any next year if rhe current version is offered.

I always viewed the Sam's Club French Silk as one of the best, and one of my favorites. Sadly, I can no longer say that. They changed the crust to some chocolate crust that doesn't hold up very well. The filling was slightly runny, even after letting it sit in the fridge for a few hours after purchasing. It also seemed like there were less chocolate curls on top than in previous years. I've been waiting months for them to bring back the French Silk, so to say that I'm disappointed is an understatement.

If I could give it a zero I would. I loved the Sam's chocolate pie for years and looked forward to it becoming available again. After trying this year's version, I will NEVER buy it again.The filling is a runny mess and the flavor is just not there. It's a shame you made a cheaper pie that turned out to be awful.

Have purchased this pie in past for Christmas as it was a decadent rich dessert. Sadly it's no longer that. It's a chocolate pudding pie of sorts. The filling was a light colored chocolate and rather runny even straight from fridge. Texture was gloopy, sort of slime consistency. Flavor was super sweet but not rich chocolate flavor in past. Cookie crumb crust was ok but bottom a bit thick. We missed the baked buttery crust too. Whipped cream topping with chocolate shavings was the best part. We bought this pie ahead to sample it before Christmas dinner. We will not be bringing it to family Christmas dinner. Miss the wonderful rich mousse- like pie of past. SAM'S - you missed the mark on this revision.

What was a good chocolate pie is now not fit to buy nor eat. The chocolate pie crust was crumbly, tasted like it had coconut in it and didn't go with the pie at all. This pie was over whelmingly more whipped so called topping and didn't taste good. It was not creamy, almost tough. I know that's hard to believe, but it just wasn't good. Then your taste buds finally found what was suppose to be a chocolate filling. That layer had no chocolate flavor at all. So remember the old saying, "if it ain't broke don't fix it?" This doesn't taste even close to the past years. It's broke, fix it. Such a waste of $13 but it went in the trash. That's how I fixed it.

I have purchased this pie several times over the years, so I was looking forward to getting it again. What I received was the worst tasting pie I have ever had. It was not even close to the pie they sold in the past. It has a heavy chemical small and taste, like someone fumigated it. It is not the same texture as in the past. It is simply not the same pie, but being sold as though it is. I a SO DISAPPOINTED. I cannot imagine what they did or why they changed the recipe. I want a refund, but I cannot get it back to the store at this time. So, it will just end up in the trash. This seems to be connected to the location because other reviews seem to indicate that people got the pie I thought I was getting.
