I have been using Turbo tax since 2006. For the most part it has been easy to use and follow. This year's update seems to have been in better shape with it's early release. No major issues. Online help and documentation of issues that have been addressed for others have been able to help me. Better this year than 2024.

After buying the software, when I selected to have my state return filing fee paid from the return I was automatically charged for premium and had to google how to fix that. In order to avoid the paying for premium I had to pay the filing fee with a credit card. I think this is a deceitful practice as there was no notice regarding this and I had to research on my own.

Turbo Tax is not as easy to use as it used to be. It used to give you more information on any extra forms that needed to be filled out and now it doesn't do that. I had to go to IRS.gov and print out instructions and complete the worksheet myself to fill the line Turbo Tax said I was missing.

For 2026, just like every previous years, there were persistent errors that prevented filing. Hours of online searches followed by deleting multiple forms and re-running the app finally eliminated the unknown problem ("STDREF marked as estimated", whatever that means). At least I was able to update the app this year, unlike the previous two years. TTax's idea of "help" is asking other users to address workarounds to their bugs rather than actually supporting their product. If you don't expect much you might like the product.

Some parts of last year's return were coming up and were helpful to filling out this year while other parts were not. Make it easier to find where to input payroll taxes/business expenses.

I iike the way Turbo Tax organizes my tax reporting, and keeps records. I also like the ease of adding or subtracting items to deduct so I can see how I can benefit in the future. The efile really makes it simple. Thanks.

I've been using Turbo Tax since 1988 and its good tax software. If something was unclear, all I had to do was call and ask or message the community; always got expert answers.

Overall Good. When there are issues with a worksheet rather than ask for corrections or an ansewr why don't you direct us to the sheet to make the crection instead? I find it very confusing that you don't do that.

Depreciation not calculating correctly on multiple returns - took a lot of extra time to fix myself. Didn't get 1 free state filing that is supposed to come with purchase of home and business software.

I love the annual experience with TurboTax, especially the fact that its process, reference tabs and information access remain consistent, and doesn't automatically "update changes" to the program. Thank you.
