I am giving these protein shakes a 2 star rating for the taste and smell. The shake leaves a chemical like aftertaste and it is way too sweet. Secondly, the shake smells like eggs which is really off putting. The consistency however is great, not chalky or thick. If the smell/taste improved, I would consider buying again, but I overall do not recommend and will not be repurchasing.

I'm always skeptical of these drinks having odd notes and tastes, especially since I typically associate Member's Mark brand as cheap knock off versions of popular brands, but they nailed it with this one - tastes just like a vanilla milk shake! Personally, I prefer to refrigerate them and drink them cold rather than room temp. Will definitely continue buying these!

I don't know if the product was spoiled or if I just didn't like the flavor. When I opened the cap it smelled sour and powdery. I thought perhaps it was a fluke and opened another. Even gave one to coworker to see what they thought. Ended up returning both cases as I just couldn't bear to throw them back.

We love the Nurri shakes, and figured we would try these as a more affordable option. Yuck. Very disappointing. First the smell--it smells slightly spoiled. It is very off-putting and doesn't make you excited to drink it. It doesn't taste spoiled, but does not taste anywhere near delicious. Has a slight plastic or silicone flavor as well from the bottle. We tried three of them and can't bring ourselves to finish the rest of the package. I'll be returning them and sticking with Nurri.

I love the taste and have started using it as my coffee creamer. It's very creamy and I get a 2 for one. I get a creamer and my protein all in one. Love it. My one recommendation is to make the package easier to open, especially for seniors. It is very difficult for me to tear open the plastic, then pull the aluminum tab once you unscrew the top. I would be nice if this could happen, otherwise I may have to switch to a product that is easier for me to open.

I was excited to give this a try in both the strawberry and vanilla varieties. My initial taste with both exceeded my expectations. The flavors to both were really good and rivaled the tastes of the Nurri ultra filtered protein milk shakes. My only issue with the Members Mark varieties was that there were annoying lumps as you nearly finish the bottle, which felt gross when detected. I even attempted to vigorously shake each bottle prior to consumption, but this did not fix the issue, and I have not purchased since.

Not comparable to the Nurri Vanilla Milk Shake protein shakes at all. There's not a milk shake flavor at all, just plain vanilla. The texture is odd and the after taste is bad. The SMELL is worst part. Shakes expire in 7 months but smell like sour milk.

Just bought 2 cases of this thinking Members Mark would be a good product, the vanilla just tastes terrible! Has some chemical taste, and absolutely nothing like the vanilla ice cream they show on the case. If you have had fair life 42 vanilla or Nurri, those are so good and this is just bad! Please don't call it vanilla ice cream when it tastes nothing like that . Sadly such a disappointment since I was expecting this to be tasting at least as good as other ultra filtered vanilla drinks. I'm stuck with two cases now, which tastes nothing like vanilla, but a very weird taste and smell.

Member's Mark Ultra filtered vanilla milkshake is excellent in every way - taste, nutrition, price. I'd say it's actually a little creamier/thicker, and a little more vanilla-y but not sweeter than Nurri. It's most similar to Fairlife. Far better than many others because of its minimal ingredients, no chalkiness and no artificial or protein-ish taste.

While the taste isn't that bad the smell is. I don't know what ingredient they added that does that but it smells like someone farted in the bottle at the plant that makes them. My son drank one and said it's not bad but it smells aweful. Fix the smell and you have a winner.
