We had our contractor put the gazebo together. But when assembled it is great. The height of the gazebo dissipates heat from direct sun. The gazebo is the right size. Any larger it would detract from the rest of the deck. And it is bolted to the deck floor. We have micro bursts where I live, so not taking any chances.

the only complaint I had was how long it took me to get it . but I have to take into account where I live and how far I live from a major city putting it together wasn't easy . I got to say once everything was put together and we had it concreted into the ground it's beautiful . what I would tell folks is make sure that when you order it that it is the correct dimension . unfortunately when I ordered mine it was 2 ft too short for what I needed it for . but I liked it so much I decided just to keep it up and make deal with what make do with what I had .

The Gazebo turned out better than we expected. The installers were amazing and had it up and ready to go in less than 4 hours. We liked them so much we had them come back and do additional work to the Gazebo. We painted the outside to match our house and added cedar sides, a door and screen.

Ordered and paid for assembly. Parts were delivered early on 8/10. Techs came out on 8/21 to assemble. Told us that the boxes were molded and they couldn't continue to put it together after they took it off the pallet. They asked us for tarps to cover it. We still have no assembled gazebo and it's 9/3. At this point, my suggestion is: don't spend the $700 extra dollars for assembly. The CS team has been responsive, but we still have not heard from a tech as to when it can get assembled. We'd have already sent it back if we could.

The instructions were definitely not an easy follow. I had to other guys that we have all worked construction at some level and we struggled to understand what they were saying in the instructions. There is a lot of bolts and screw. Holes didn't line up on a lot of things. Did get it up but was not an easy task.

I purchased a Backyard Discovery gazebo from Sam's about 5 years ago and I was very happy with the quality of the product. Therefore I returned to the brand, even though there are plenty of other choices out there, some significantly cheaper. This time the quality is very disappointing. Hollow posts made of boards assembled together, one split throughout, and lots of bent, cracked or chipped boards. I would give less than 1 star if I could.

The pergola is great, not too bad to build. The process to get it, HORRIBLE. To spare reading an essay, it was an absolute NIGHTMARE to get it. It was extremely delayed and the customer service from Sam's was HORRENDOUS, including the third party, Twelve Point. Coastal Connections, people who actually delivered the six boxes, even said how horrible Twelve Point is. Manager at Sam's clearly did not care either after I finally tracked him down. Sam's, DO BETTER.

We bought this for me upcoming 65th birthday gathering and because I love living outdoors. Poured a slab and my son and husband assembled it and let me tell you it is perfect! If they would have been able to only work on it, about a full 4 day project. Very well built, went together easily (a couple of minor adjustments). I'm now looking for that perfect ceiling fan and outdoor rug to complete the look I want. I highly recommend this product! Make sure you READ the manual and watch the DIY video provided BEFORE starting and you should have no problems.

We were very impressed that the kit included nearly every tool you'll need, including helpful clamps! You'll need a good drill driver, impact driver, and a deadfall hammer helped too. It is a large kit so we had it spread out and placed all the hardware (HW) and brackets on a table. Had to move the table under some shade cuz the sun made everything too hot to touch! all the packages are plainly labeled but it would have been better if the ones with stick on labels would have been printed on the plastic as well cuz the rain made some come off, so I just just open the bag and put the label inside, also a solution. I had poured 2 concrete pilings for the back and sunk anchors for the pool deck legs, so none of the provided foot HW could be used. The posts are TRUE 6x6 so going to the HW store to get "6x6" post brackets won't work because the store brackets are actually 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" even though they "say" they're 6x6. So we had to shave a 1/4" off each side so I could anchor them properly. Make certain you're square before you pour concrete or drill anchors. We did and it aligned just fine. Once you get to the phase of standing the posts up you'll need more than 2 able bodied people to help. The ROOF... FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!! Each side roof panel is assembled differently. The instructions state this as well. Making sure the roof is square is very critical. It says you can have a 1/4" of play and that is it, so don't screw it down tight until you get it flexed into the measurements needed. Again, you'll need 1 more than just two able-bodied folks to put each panel up to the roof. This unit is tall so the handy cedar boards provided as temporary support legs while each side is joined together worked well to help the 3rd person.

Not easy to do, because I had to go back to Sams for parts, I don't know if I got a bad box or something, but the wood was cracked bowed vary badly, The manager was good about it. They opened other boxes and gave me the parts that I needed that were bowed and cracked. Some of the others that were cracked. I filled with wood glue myself, and there was a lot. The cedar is very dry. definitely pre-drill before you put screws in anything that doesn't already have a hole. It took two weeks to put it up, l got one from Wayfair a couple years ago very similar, it took me a weekend to put together, I would say shop around before buying this one.
