What a beautiful piece. This took my husband, son, and me about 15 hours to build. We ran into a couple spots where the pilot holes were wrong but figured out a work around no problem. The directions were easy. I highly recommend using the printed and online directions together for clarity (note online are numbered differently). We highly suggest laying out and organizing hardware bags in number order and organizing lumber by number. Do NOT take off roofing film without noting the part numbers. They go in a specific order. We didn’t realize this and had to guess with our first couple. Also, two ladders and 4 sawhorses would be ideal. 3 people worked perfectly but having at least two tall, strong individuals made this totally doable.

Excellent product. I am not a pro but have significant experience. Instuctions are very good. TIPS: Take all items out of boxes and organize. This includes fastener packages by numerical order. Move assembled posts flat then stand up in place. 6 sawhorses, small tables or ladders to lift off ground while constructing eases and improves time. Additional clamps (2 provided) really help draw product together when placing roof panels in place. Don't worry, roof metal trim pieces at end will cover small gaps. Ridge beam was most complex. I failed to have holes align for the 2 bolts per roof panel. I overcame by using my own deck screws and bolts. This required me drilling holes for bolts. No problem, it's wood. Don't overtighten your roof screws. Let the rubber gasket work. I had approximately 40 man hours to complete structure. That is 12 solo and 14 with a partner. I still need to secure the legs to my concrete pad. I am extremely happy with this product. I was going to build a gazebo on my own. But I saw this at Sam's Club and was impressed by the appearance, sturdiness.and price. I plan on buying another to complete my build out around my pool. Hopefully this helps someone. I really tried to stay with the instructions. I outsmarted myself a few times and had to undo a few things. But they were quick fixes. Pricing at this point is unusual. The 14x12 is very fairly priced. But adding 2 feet (16x12) more than doubles the price. That is with the same amount of legs (4). Any longer than 16 will be 6 legs so I get a significant bump up in price.

The instructions were definitely not an easy follow. I had to other guys that we have all worked construction at some level and we struggled to understand what they were saying in the instructions. There is a lot of bolts and screw. Holes didn’t line up on a lot of things. Did get it up but was not an easy task.

This isn't really a DIY project, it comes in hundreds of pieces and you get six boxes. You can't just open box one and start building; you have to open five of the six boxes to even get started. Space was my biggest problem.

The roof structure has several warped boards. Making it impossible to assemble. Didn't notice it until halfway assembled while following instructions step by step

Whatever you do please do not order online. It has been a nightmare to receive my product from the carrier. Still can’t leave a review on the product because I have still not received it.

We needed a gazebo for our new hot tub. and this fit the bill. I looks better on our patio than it did in the store. Our patio reall looks wonderful now. We had a team (the guys we hired to fo the cement work) put it together. It didn't take them all that long. We couldn't have done it ourselves. Delighted with the results.

This is the worst product that I have ever purchased from Sam’s Club. Extremely disappointed as I have never returned anything to Sam’s Club. After demoing our old gazebo to make room for this one it was a total waste of time and money. Now we’re left with no gazebo. We also paid a contractor to come assist with this thinking, we were doing something wrong as directions are not that clear, but they were unable to because the holes don’t lineup and all the wood portions are warped at near the last step at the roof.

The pergola is great, not too bad to build. The process to get it, HORRIBLE. To spare reading an essay, it was an absolute NIGHTMARE to get it. It was extremely delayed and the customer service from Sam’s was HORRENDOUS, including the third party, Twelve Point. Coastal Connections, people who actually delivered the six boxes, even said how horrible Twelve Point is. Manager at Sam’s clearly did not care either after I finally tracked him down. Sam’s, DO BETTER.
