This is a beautiful, well-made, good-quality (but very comprehensive) project, and I admire the finished product every day! Everyone who has seen it comments on how classy it looks, and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase. Paying careful and close attention to each and every step of the instructions and available app were crucial for successful assembly. The app tells you there are 99 steps in the assembly, the instruction booklet calls it about 50, but either way this is definitely a complicated project. The entire gazebo was assembled by us, a 60-something couple with comprehensive construction and DIY experience, over several days by working only in the early mornings or late evenings due to 95+ degree weather. Working for only a couple of hours at a time worked well; right abut the time one of us would feel frustrated, it would be time to take a break due to the weather or darkness. As suggested, we took the time to first lay out all lumber pieces by part number under a canopy we set up next to the worksite. It was important to NOT lay the unattached wood pieces out in the sun due to potential warping from the intense summer sun. All hardware packages were organized on a table in numerical order to facilitate finding the exact item quickly, and we were careful to only open the corner of each bag to remove the fasteners to keep the rest from falling out and mixing together. There were a LOT of different fasteners, each precisely the right item for the application. We also kept the metal roof pieces in their shipping crate, under cardboard cover, until the moment of installation. This kept the protective plastic film from melting onto the metal, and kept the roofing from becoming too hot for us to handle. Yes, every metal piece had to have the film peeled off, but it was not difficult nor did it take more than a couple of minutes each. Other reviewers complained of misaligned holes, but if we found a hole did not line up during installation it generally indicated that we needed to do a better job of squaring up or leveling or pushing parts together. The included clamps were brilliant, and we used them not only where indicated in the instructions but also often to draw pieces together more tightly while bolting and screwing. Yes, assembly required patience, some carpentry skill, and strength. If you are the kind of person that can't follow the detailed instructions to assemble a 1000-piece Lego project, or does not have basic carpentry tools and a talented and patient partner to help, or cannot lift and hold 20 to 30 pounds over your head, then this may not be the project for you. But if you have help and can patiently follow the directions, you will be rewarded with a really nice gazebo in the end.

The Gazebo turned out better than we expected. The installers were amazing and had it up and ready to go in less than 4 hours. We liked them so much we had them come back and do additional work to the Gazebo. We painted the outside to match our house and added cedar sides, a door and screen.

Ordered and paid for assembly. Parts were delivered early on 8/10. Techs came out on 8/21 to assemble. Told us that the boxes were molded and they couldn't continue to put it together after they took it off the pallet. They asked us for tarps to cover it. We still have no assembled gazebo and it's 9/3. At this point, my suggestion is: don't spend the $700 extra dollars for assembly. The CS team has been responsive, but we still have not heard from a tech as to when it can get assembled. We'd have already sent it back if we could.

We are very happy with the gazebo. It comes with written instructions and we followed them step by step. Each step we had containers for the hardware that we needed for that step and we did that throughout the construction and had no problems. I would recommend when you put the 2 halves together you have a couple of strong people.

It's been about a month or so I do love my gazebo. The only hard thing we had was trying to get someone to put it up, which we paid money, but had to get it put had to get the money reimbursed because we couldn't get anybody to do it it was always an excuse. That's only bad thing. I see that you gotta get someone dependable to put it up. Did these installers leave a lot of parts off yes like some screws and all, but we found them and put up on ourselves otherwise I love it.

the only complaint I had was how long it took me to get it . but I have to take into account where I live and how far I live from a major city putting it together wasn't easy . I got to say once everything was put together and we had it concreted into the ground it's beautiful . what I would tell folks is make sure that when you order it that it is the correct dimension . unfortunately when I ordered mine it was 2 ft too short for what I needed it for . but I liked it so much I decided just to keep it up and make deal with what make do with what I had .

Three months after assembly and enjoying our new gazebo, we couldn't be happier with the quality of our gazebo. We had an electrician hardwire in a ceiling fan and electrical outlet. Can't wait to put i a mounted pull down TV to watch fall college football and baseball playoffs.

We bought this about 2 months ago. We love it. With every piece numbered and the video instructions and manual it was not that difficult to put together. Differently need about 6 people to raise it. That being said we are all in our 60's lol. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely love this gazebo. It is beautiful in our backyard. The directions were relatively easy to follow. No parts were missing but some holes were drilled improperly. It wasn't a big deal, though. I highly recommend having at least three people to assemble. Also, organize all the parts and lumber first. This will make your life easier. Having 4 sawhorses make it way easier as well. When it comes to putting on the roof be sure you have some tall, strong people to help you. We would buy this over and again. It is our backyard oasis!

Purchased along with the BD Cedar bar that matches it pretty well. The Gazebo looks very nice up and hopefully will be sturdy and long lasting. Took us about 2 1/2 days total with three adults working for most of that (there are moments when you need a third person or it will be impossible to do). So, able bodied adults who can climb ladders and lift 50 lbs(ish) should be able to do the job. Instructions were pretty good. Included more hardware than needed just in case, and several small tools to help (the right sized bits). There were a few times when we had to figure something out (the worst was that the roof pieces did not seem to fit, because the end boards had to be oriented a certain way, but the instructions didn't make that clear--so we had to take them down, figure that out, and put them back up again). All in all, we feel the price is good, instructions and build was pretty good, and overall are glad we chose this gazebo.
