Definitely a Challenge but looks amazing at the end. Some of of the beams were not measured and machined correctly so some modifications were needed and definitely needs to be stained and sealed but overall very happy with product

Looks great but an absolute nightmare to put together. Our directions were terrible and we were missing several pieces. We have built additions on our house so we're not amateurs. If we knew it was this extensive we would not have bought.

Easy to follow instructions. I recommend having help for assembling, I did it on my own but definitely wished I had help. It went together fairly easy. I like the design of it. I added my own light to it for those early morning cooks

Great kit. Totally happy with the finished product. Put it together really quick by myself but spent at *least* 50% of the entire build time pealing the plastic coating off of the roof pieces. That sucked. Almost have it one star but my wife and I just sat under the gazebo staying dry in the rain. That was lovely. Also...at least for people to put the roof up safely.

This is great we've been looking for something to put on the cement deck of our pool that was smaller but still gave shade and this works perfectly. We've had the larger size one on our patio for probably close to 8 years now and it still looks great. The directions were easy to follow and honestly didn't take that long to assemble.

Very high quality. Put it together in 6 hours. I recommend if you are assembling this alone, put the room frame on and then attach the metal roof panels. It is well over 200 labs with the roof panels attached. This will make sense once you see the directions. If you have 2 or 3 people to help you, then just build it how they tell you.

This is my second Gazebo from BYD and couldn't be happier. This one covers my outdoor kitchen and, just like the one I have covering my hottub- its rock solid, real cedar, and easy to assemble. I live in the PNW and having cover- that will not rot and stay beautiful- is essential.

I RARELY give 5 Star Reviews. To be true to the purpose of reviews, I always seem to find something. But this is truly a 5 Star product. The product came in 2 (heavy) boxes. I would suggest picking up with a pickup, large SUV or have a trailer. Everything was well packed and each box had its own packing list. I had no shortages after checking everything. And I mean everything! They give you the bits (T-30 bit & handle, magnetic bit holder, Phillips anti-sink tip, nut driver and the drill bit for the mounting of the electric box). Only had to have my own drill, impact gun, tape measure & level. After checking everything in, I decided to assemble what I could to store in the garage until the installation area was ready. I fully assembled the sides with counters, front & rear carrying beams & roof frame without the roof panels. Once my footers were poured I was able to set up the 5 preassembled pieces in under 2 hours myself without assistance. I then attached the roof panels. Backyard Discovery was awesome in sending me out the 1 screw I broke (on the counter), I had it in 3 days! They have customer service available 7 days a week which I was shocked! I will definitely be adding the Pergola by Backyard Discovery from Sam’s Club. I have received many compliments from friends and neighbors wanting to know where I got this so they can get one. Overall, a great addition to the back yard.

All shipping and support exceeded expectations. The assembly was not too difficult and the alignment of holes between boards was amazing. On the Roof Assembly (Step 25) I would suggest modifying the 3rd tip: "Layout all roof sections to center and determine equal gaps BEFORE any screws are used." I had a false start and needed to remove screws and adjust. Would be great to see what others have done with their Gazebo. I'm now trying to figure out lights over my grill and smoker and perhaps an exhaust fan.

Quality is very good. Looks great! Assembly is best with 2 people and takes a few hours. Polyurethane all wood parts first. Everyone who has seen it wants one! I put it adjacent to the Backyard Discovery Norwood. Wish they would fit together without a gap.
