Unfortunately, like other reviews on this product, I have suffered from an allergic reaction. I have a red, itchy swollen rash around the lower part of my face, mainly around my chin and lip area which has now progressed to under my eye. My skin has started to flake and I am very upset as, I do not usually have dry skin. I have had to use calamine lotion on my skin to try and calm the burning, itchy sensation that is across my face.

Beware: I used this product 4 times last week. the last time i used it my face turned bright red. a few hours later my skin is cracked, peeling, and it hurts. this product is PURE GARBAGE. it says its for everyday use. A week later my skin is still rough and dry to the touch, cracking, but doesnt hurt as much. This is my face I'm talking about. I will never use this, I do not recommend it. I had normal skin prior to using it, sometimes oily, but sometimes a little dry. DO NOT USE THIS. IT WILL RUIN YOUR SKIN. there is nothing good about this product. the texture of my skin has totally changed around my chin and lower cheeks thanks to this garbage.

Sadly this product did not work for me. I’m surprised there’s no negative reviews for the Hydroboost Exfoliating Cleanser in this site, all you see are the great reviews first. I do not recommend this product, it left my skin REALLY irritated, dry, and uncomfortably itchy! For a second I thought I might’ve gotten an allergic reaction to something I ate, but not at all, I used the cleaner for a second time to make sure and yet again I had horrible bumps and was super red and swollen. Never buying from this brand again. I wanted to like it so bad, but this reaction is seriously so annoying. I should’ve check the reviews for this product before I purchased, dumb mistake since I’m always reading reviews for other products.

This is the first step in my skincare routine. This is the third or forth time I've purchased it and nothing else has compared by far. I have very sensitive skin and it's the only exfoliant that doesnt irritate my skin. I reccomend it to anyone who needs a good staple face wash.

I loved this the first day i used it made my skin feel amazing. Then 2 days of using this product i woke up with swollen eyes...swollen lips...a rash my skin was peeling off around my mouth...it was like a horrid sunburn for almost a week after only 2 days of using it, iv never had a reaction like this before with any face cleanser or exfoliator. I dont want to bash this product because i love Neutrogena i buy bothing but their products but i can not reccomend this one:(.

After using this cleanser for just 2 days, I developed a severe allergic reaction on my eyes and face. I have used the Hydro Boost Gel Moisturizer for about a year so I thought this product would be safe to try. On the first day, I washed my face at night and woke up the next day with one very swollen eyelid that I had to ice it all day. On day 2 I didn’t use the face wash and the swelling started to go down by bedtime. The next day it was gone. I didn’t connect the dots until the 2nd use of this face wash. I woke up on day 3 used the face wash at night and boom, day 3 my entire face was swollen, had a rash, and both eyelids were almost swollen shut. After doing some googling, I found that many others had the same issue as me with this exact product. I love Neutrogena products but I have now had allergic reactions to two of their facial cleansers.

I have skin that gets easier oiled but also turns red fairly quick. I wanted a cleaner that would gentle exfoliate my skin . This was the product that did the job. Just enough scrub to help feel you got ask the dirt and grime but not too much where you feel like you’re ruining your skin.
