[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser had a very medicated scent and wasn't exactly refreshing, as advertised. Aside from that, I thought it was a decent cleanser which lathered up nicely, but not a great exfoliator. I have combination skin and it was gentle enough on the areas of my face that are usually dry, but got rid of the oil in my T-zone and didn't leave behind any kind of residue. I deal with cystic acne and I didn't have any more breakouts than usual while using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser, but I also didn't have any less. While testing this out, I didn't use my regular exfoliator or facial masque and developed build-up of keratin in several spots on my face (especially around the pores on the sides of my nose) while using this cleanser. The little crystals intended for exfoliation just aren't rough enough.

One of my favorite cleansers now! This one is affordable unlike a lot of high end cleansers that I have always used before and works just as well, while hydrating at the same time. I highly recommend this cleanser to medium or combination skin types.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thing I noticed first about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser was its fragrance which was pleasant and mild. The cleanser is a clear gel with no plastic microbeads, as mentioned on the label, although there is some sort of beads (probably cellulose, which is listed in the ingredients). I could barely feel the beads on my face, so it's not super "exfoliating" in that regard, although the other ingredients might work to exfoliate without the mechanical buffing. Anyway, the cleanser produced a mild foam and my skin felt fresh after washing. Note that there a "sunburn alert" on the label because the product contains an alpha hydroxy acid, so using sunscreen is recommended when using this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neutropenia, is definitely a brand that is synonymous with quality. This Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser, was certainly no disappointment. Some face exfoliators are so harsh, that I can't use them. This one was lovely and felt great on my face, not sticky and hard that I couldn't remove it. Directions are easy to follow and it simply comes off the face. It did not leave breaks outs and I was not allergic to the gel. I love that it's, soap, oil, paraben free and does not contain microbeads. The gel is lightweight and not heavy on the face. Removing oils, dirt and dry skin. My face feels even and soft afterwards and more radiant after I apply my makeup. I have been using daily since I got mine, which you can do. I love the scent, it has a lovely gentle fragrance. Like a natural or fresh kind of smell. Definitely happy with this gel, it's very much worth the price and is inexpensive. Will certainly tell my friends and family.

I recently bought seeing that includes papaya extract and glycol acid (both of are good exfoliators). When I used it, the base gel cleanser seemed very similar to other expensive exfoliators i have previously used. However, the micro beads are a bit to harsh for my skin. I was left red cheeks and one or two small pimples. Didn't dare use it a second time. Surely, would have been better without the micro beads.

I was really happy to see, how well it cleans without drying my skin in the process. It was gentle, yet really effective at getting deep down in my pores. It was pretty creamy coming out of the tube, and hand a light scent to it. I definitely will buy this, when I buy face wash next time. I think Neutrogena is a, leader in advancing skincare products.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost exfoliating cleanser has a lightweight gel texture. The scent is fresh and slight, making my cleaning routine easy and clean. After cleansing, my skin feels soft but not at all dry. The packaging is simple making it very easy to use. I strongly recommend giving Neutrogena Hydro Boost exfoliating cleanser a try!

I have to say, I love neutrogena. I usually use the healthy skin boosters cleanser and scrubs (my staple for the past 4 years). I decided to get the new hydro boost exfoliating cleanser and hydro boost cleansing gel for the winter since my skin is extra dry in the winter. I got it on Sunday, today is Wednesday and my face looks TERRIBLE! I look like I'm sick. For the past 2 days I've been itchy and scratching my face, especially around the mouth area. I dnt have any known allergies but I am disappointed in this product. I can't believe it!I love this company and stick to only neutrogena's products for my face but I don't know what to do besides throwing these 2 products away. I bought the hydro boost gel a week prior to buying the cleanser and exfoliater and had no issue until I started using the rest of the line. *I have never had any acne issues or black heads, only dry skin. I stopped using the healthy skin booster for a week just to test these 2 products. *
