Absolutely love this cleanser. The exfoliating beads are not abrasive at all and do a great job at taking off dead skin without being rough on your skin. Also is hydrating as well. Definitely recommend this cleanser to someone who has dry sensitive skin.

Just like other reviewers, I had an allergic reaction... five days before my trip to Hawaii.... I love the HydroBoost moisturizer, so I assumed the facewash would be okay for me. Used once or twice and now here I am with tiny bumps all over my face. My face feels like sandpaper. This has happened to me before with other face washes and cleansers.

I used this product only once, before I went to bed. I woke up the next morning with my entire face covered in tiny bumps. My face was burning so bad that I cried. The pain was seriously unreal. And it was soooooooo itchy. Like chicken pox itchy. I work in customer service and this highly affected my confidence at work the next 3 days. Today is the third day, and though the itching is gone, the pain and appearance are still there. And this is after I slept with my face smothered in cortisone cream and aloe gel. My face feels super dry but looks super oily. My face looks disgusting, and I can't cover it up with makeup because (1) it hurts and (2) it just draws attention to the bumps. It looks like every single pore or hair follicle is swollen. It is particularly bad around my nose, upper lip, forehead, upper cheeks... Really all over. Even my neck. I have never had any type of reaction to any other product in my life. If you are going to try this, at least make sure you have nowhere to go the next few days. I have no clue how long it will take for my face to feel normal again, let alone look normal... I had such nice skin texture. This is horrible and honestly hurting my mental health. I am embarrassed for people to see me now. Horrible horrible experince with this product. :/

I was looking forward to trying neutrogena's exfoliating cleanser, but sadly disappointed after day 3. My skin felt burnt. Red patches on my cheeks didn't look flattering. I'm assuming it stripped my skin. Is a sensitive skin version on its way? I felt clean, loved how it went on and exfoliated but not the aftermath. .suggestions?

Worst skin product ever. I really have never tried any kind of face washes (I know it sounds gross) but my skin has always been super clear. Here lately I’ve been really dry & my face has been peeling. So I figured I’d try something. I bought this product and used it twice. The next morning I woke up with tiny white bumps EVERYWHERE. My face feels like it has blisters all over it and it is so sore. I look awful. I will never buy another neutrogena product again.

I was using Nutrogena Deep Clean Exfoliating Cleanser for many years and I decided to try this one, as I thought it would work better to hydrate my skin. Unfortunately after a few days, I had similar negative reactions - burning sensation, redness, rash and peeling skin all over my face. I have since stopped using it and it is slowly improving, went back to the Deep Clean cleanser followed by CeraVe moisturizing lotion, twice a day. Just a warning that it may work for some but not everyone.

Great light exfoliator, gentle enough to use more often in the week than others. It buffed away my dry flaky skin and didn't dry it out more afterwards! Nicely hydrating! Definitely something I will be keeping in my skincare routine. Absolutely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a GREAT product! I've always been fan of Neutrogena facial care products and this one sure didn't dissapoint! It smells so fresh and clean to start and is easy to apply in the shower. I could feel the tingly cleaning effects immediately and when washing it off I didn't feel any greasy residue like a lot of products tend to leave. It's absolutely worth the money and my face really did feel fresh and hydrated afterwards. I'll be switching to this from now on!

I purchased 3 other Hydroboost products and had somewhat good results so naturally I purchased the exfoliating scrub. Mistake! I used it the first time and had severely swollen eyes (above/below) and dry skin. The swelling resolved after a day or so, but still had the dry skin for several days. I used it a second time a week later to make sure it wasn't allergies to something else. Another mistake! My eyes are swollen even worse, splotchy red skin from eyes down to chin, severe dry skin that no moisturizer has helped. It feels like a really bad sunburn but with only a little redness. I should have called into work today, it is that bad. If I had read the previews first I would never had bought this product.This will be going back for a refund today!
