[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat, I was pleased that this product clearly stated that it did not contain plastic microbeads. While these are outlawed in many areas, I feel as if they are still on the shelves, and it is a concern that I may inadvertently be purchasing them. So kudos to Neutrogena for perhaps stating the obvious, but something that needed to be stated nonetheless. I was pleased with the cleansing properties of the product, and found the exfoliating particles to be a perfect size- not too large or small, and not too abrasive. Overall I'm pleased with this product, as it seemed gentle enough to cleanse without being harsh, but also worked as an exfoliator.

I purchased this item last week Saturday because I liked the face mask and the eye cream , I wanted to smooth my face so I decided to purchase the exfoliating cleanser, it is now Thursday the fifth day of using the cleanser . I am not sure what ingredient caused my face to break out, the first thing that occurred was that my pores started to get big, I thought it was a coincidence and did not think it was the cleanser, then the next day I noticed small bumps on my face and again not even thinking this must be the cleanser and now today it is really irritating me and itchy and it looks like I have acne my face feels like leather never in my life have I ever had this type of reaction to an exfoliating cleanser, I discontinued this product asap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked adding this to my facial washing routine. I think it has a mild, clean scent that I associate with Neutrogena. This is a thick liquid, that foams up and also has a gritty texture. It feels nice rubbing this on your face. I would have liked for it to have more grit in it, but it also works well for daily use. I use this daily and notice that my skin feels a little smoother due to getting a lot of the oil and dirty completely off.

I absolutely love this product! It is super hydrating. It does not leave your skin oily. it helps with the fine lines and wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid in it really does help plump the skin. I have aging skin, so it really helps because as we age, we lose that collagen production. I definitely will keep buying it.

I should have realized this would have fragrance since it's not stated as fragrance free, but enough is enough. I like the way the cleanser works however, due to the overpowering fragrance I have to discontinue use. Too bad..it really does work as a gentle exfoliator.

I tried the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser, and it’s a decent daily cleanser with mild exfoliation. It has a gel-like texture with tiny beads and lathers well. While it cleans thoroughly without being too harsh, it’s not as hydrating as I expected. My skin feels fresh but slightly tight afterward, so I always need a moisturizer. It didn’t cause major irritation despite my sensitive skin, but the added fragrance and sulfates might not suit everyone. Overall, it’s a good option for normal to oily skin but may not be the best for very dry or sensitive skin. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

Beware: I used this product 4 times last week. the last time i used it my face turned bright red. a few hours later my skin is cracked, peeling, and it hurts. this product is PURE GARBAGE. it says its for everyday use. A week later my skin is still rough and dry to the touch, cracking, but doesnt hurt as much. This is my face I'm talking about. I will never use this, I do not recommend it. I had normal skin prior to using it, sometimes oily, but sometimes a little dry. DO NOT USE THIS. IT WILL RUIN YOUR SKIN. there is nothing good about this product. the texture of my skin has totally changed around my chin and lower cheeks thanks to this garbage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first tried Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser I noticed that it has a pleasant scent. It is fresh and clean smelling. The exfoliating is amazing. I have sensitive skin. Most exfoliates leave my skin red and irritated. I was impressed that Neutrogena's did not. My skin felt clean, smooth and refreshed. It has a nice texture and rinses easily. There is only one down side to this product. There was no noticeable difference in my skins hydration. However, I intend to purchase it anyway just because I love how well it exfoliates and cleanses my skin.
