We always had a Kitchenaid dishwasher, mixer, etc. When I got married in 1985 my mom gave me a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I was young and didn't appreciate a good appliance yet. I returned it and bought a tent! The tent was well used, but is long gone. I've hand mixed most of my recipes for the past 35 years, wishing I'd kept that mixer! This year I finally have a brand new Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer. I love it!! My baked goods are now light and fluffy... using the exact same recipes! It's amazing to think that a mixer could improve the quality of the food!

A machine built THIS well reminds me of what American Quality is supposed to be and what it was before American was taken over by corporate d'bags!! Please don't EVER sacrifice your quality for a lousy few bucks... I don't wanna lose faith in 1 of the few companies I see still doing it right!! It's a bit expensive.. but well worth the money!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is hands-down better than my last stand mixer. It is heavy, but that makes is sturdy. It doesn't wobble around on the counter. The bowl and tilting head lock in place. The motor runs smoothly. It works great! So far, since receiving my KitchenAid mixer for Christmas, I have made bread multiple times, ground meat and made other baked goods. It's easy to clean, easy to use and I love it!

With the nerve damage in that arm now it makes it very hard to mix when cooking. I have gone through a few other mixers that have broke but still always had to scrap the side of the bowls while mixing. I have always wanted the kitchen aid mixer but couldn't afford it. Well after my recent surgery in November the mixer I had broke while making gingerbread cookies. My husband told me to go ahead and buy tje Kitchen Aid. Oh my goodness! This mixer was a lifesaver during the holidays only being one handed. I never had to scrap the bowl. It bended all the ingredients very well and in half the time other mixers have done. I love to cook and I can not wait to be able to purchase the attachments!

I finally "took the plunge" and treated myself with an early Christmas present. Now I only have one question..."Why did I wait so long?" It's fantastic! Easy to use; easy to switch out attachments; and easy to clean. Additionally, before having this mixer, I used a quality heavy-duty hand-mixer that I had for close to 15 years, which was difficult to use at times and very noisy, but my new KitchenAid Stand Mixer is practically whisper quiet compared to the hand-mixer. Subsequently, before I even got the stand mixer set up, while mixing up homemade decorator's frosting for a cake I was baking for a special occasion, which should have been a breeze for my hand-mixer to whip up, my hand-mixer somehow got bound up while mixing and caused the beater's gears to strip rendering the hand-mixer useless. The KitchenAid Stand Mixer became a life-saver for me in my home kitchen.

I bake as a hobby and this appliance is an absolute Godsend. In December, I literally bake thousands of cookies as gifts. This last November, the motor on my beloved appliance gave out. My husband quickly stated that I was getting an early Christmas present, and sure enough, I had a new stand mixer in 2 days!. And yes, this December, I did indeed bake thousands of cookies much to the delight of co workers, family and friends!

I've had my KA for a year and a half. I use it once a month or so. I have loved it - and purchased multiple attachments including the 2 pastas attachments and the ice cream bowl. Suddenly, in the middle of making a bread dough, the head stopped spinning. Considering the price point of the KA and the expected quality, this is very upsetting. My KA is no longer functional after maybe 20 or so uses.

I have enjoyed this mixer and it does an excellent job. It is easy to use, but be warned, it is heavy. It has not moved on my counter while in use. I have only used the shredder attachment. It was easy to attach to mixer and shredded my cheese easily. The attachments were easy to clean and mixer easy to wipe off. I feel I scored big time with this purchase. You, too, will enjoy this mixer.
