Received this from my husband for Christmas. Making doughs couldn't be easier. Well built and definitely worth the sale price.

I really like how you can control the speed of the blade. So far I have only shredded potatoes and carrots. The attachment locks securely into place. Real easy cleanup.

I love this mixer. I have waited a long time to purchase one and am glad I did. I love the shredder attachment. Makes shredding cheese such an easy task. Done in no time and part can be put in the dishwasher. Easy cleanup. Really like the color on my counter top.

Design change gave me a new mixer that won't lock down when mixing thicker material (bread dough). A replacement was sent, but it had the same issue. I kept the first one that I had purchased. To keep the mixer in the locked position, I attach a rubber band between the locking lever and the slicer/shredder locking bolt. You might consider placing a rubber band inside the packaging for future customers. :-)

the motor is not as strong. directions tell not to go above number 2 for kneading . the bowl wobbles and motor struggles. beaters do not go down to the bottom of the bowl or the sides.

My mixer just quit working. I was kneading bread and it just stopped working. This is unusual for Kitchenaid mixers. since it is still under warranty I khope to get a replacement. I have used kitchenaid mixers my entire life and this is the first time I've had problems.
