The only negative is the splatter shield. The gap between the mixer and the edge of the shield is a bit too large and let's flour fly out while mixing.

After careful research, I found the reviews for the 5 Quart Tilt-Head KitchenAid Stand Mixer to be exceptional. What sealed the deal was that Kohl's was offering the Value Bundle Artisan Series 5 with the Fresh Prep attachment at a price I couldn't pass up. I've been very happy with the mixer and used it enthusiastically to make my Christmas cookies. So happy that I have it!

It’s making my holiday baking and cooking so much easier and clean up is a breeze! If you’ve just been waiting to get one, stop waiting... it’s worth it.

Was my first time using. But it does what it was designed to do. Hand mixers are not as effective as the Kitch Aide mixer, making the process much easier .

No chips in the paint, without the spring on the tilt head my attachments stay firm and secure, and the motor is rather quiet! I love my mixer! It came with the splatter shield and it works for me! Doesn’t slide off or anything.

If KitchenAid stands behind the quality of its products, you should not have to purchase an extended warranty. How many 'last chance' emails do they need to send?

I loved my old mixer so much and was worried that the quality may have gone down over the years. I was pleasantly surprised!! This mixer is AMAZING.. Lighter in weight and quieter with a more powerful motor than the last unit. So happy I upgraded!!
