We like the whole bean or ground flexibility. The whole bean option is ok- I like my grind to be a bit finer (it uses a lot of beans/pot). The basket for grounds is a bit undersized- it fills to the top and can bet messy to remove the coffee filter. The coffee is good though.

This coffee maker replaces our old one of the same model. It finally died after 6 years of constant grinding and brewing! We really like the quality that was built into this machine, so we decided to replace it with another. We have never had a coffee maker live so long!

We had a Cuisinart but it was not a burr grinder. This is a great improvement!

Poorly designed carafe. Water leaks from plastic trim along the carafe top. They wouldn't replace carafe so I returned the machine. Plenty of reviews said the same thing, I should have listened to the reviews.

This is my third grind n brew over the last 20+ years. I used the 800 model for 13 years before the coffee quality finally degraded. After considerable research I opted for the 600 model. It is very well designed and requires no cleaning. There is no chute, the coffee drops straight into the basket. I use dark oily Robusto beans with no issues. I used to clean out my old model every week because the chute would clog. When I compared other brands, they recommended not to use oily beans unless you clean after each use. The coffee quality/flavor is excellent and it is economical with beans. I wanted a grind coarseness control, but with this model I don’t think it could make the coffee any better.
