Who needs Starbucks

This was a replacement for a similar model that I had for over ten years that started leaking for some reason. I love being able to set up my morning coffee with fresh ground beans and have it waiting for me when I get up. This model is even easier to keep clean also, as a coffee snob, I highly recommend it

Great Coffee Maker- Grinder, but there are rules..

I read a lot of negative reviews about this machine. I was able to purchase it at a reasonable price, so I did. There is a sequence that must be followed in order for this coffee maker- grinder to work correctly. If you don't follow these steps, you will get an error message. 1. Fill the hopper with coffee beans. 2. Add the amount of water you want per the number of cups. The carafe is awkward for this so I use a liquid measuring cup. 3. Turn the machine on. 4. With the carafe removed open and close the coffee filter holder, using the button on the left-hand side of the machine. 5. Then place the carafe into the machine being sure that it sets flatly and securely on the heating burner. 6. Select the strength, of the coffee you want to brew. 7. Twist the knob to the correct number of cups of coffee you added water for. 8. Press the brew button.

Great value, great taste

After 10 years of flawless service, my old grind and brew suddenly stopped working just as I returned from vacation! I read reviews that praised burr grinders, and when I saw that Cuisinart had a 12 cup model, I was all about it. My first cup of coffee from this machine convinced me I made the right decision…it was delicious! This coffee maker is a delight and I look forward to many years of amazing coffee.

Look no further!

When our previous Cuisinart grind & brew coffeemaker died after 10 years of daily use, we hoped we could find a direct replacement. We were pleased to discover that Cuisinart had a newer model with all the features of our old one, plus more. It works as advertised. There is no need to measure your beans. Just keep the hopper full, empty and rinse the filter basket, replace the filter, add water, set your desired strength and number of cups you want it to grind, then press the button and wait for your pot of freshly ground coffee. It grinds & brews right every time. This is the most convenient and practical way to get a pot of freshly ground coffee every morning. Being that our last one gave us 10 years of daily fresh ground coffee, I think this machine is worth the price.

Such a disappointment

Utterly disappointed with what has always been a wonderful brand. The LCD display has failed already - within 2 months of turning it on the first time - and according to the mfr this is not a replaceable part. These are backordered past the end of 2022 so cannot even get a replacement. Even worse, tho, this has no feature to reheat coffee in the pot!!! You can't turn the warming plate back on without brewing more coffee TERRIBLE and so sad.

Worth the money

We purchased this model as my sister has had the earlier model for nearly 10 years. The burr grinder works perfectly and grinds the precise amount of coffee for the desired taste profile. There is no mess to clean up from the burr grinder as all of the grounds are deposited into the filter. The filter is easy to empty, clean and replace. The heating element keeps the coffee at a perfect temperature for up to 2 hours, which is more than ample. I couldn't find anything wrong with this appliance and have used it daily for 3 weeks now. Normal mornings - 6 cups or 4 mugs...weekends or company over - 12 cups or 8 mugs.

Best coffee maker ever!

The only 2 negatives I have is that I wish it held more beans and the filter will fall off easily when it's open. But honestly it is still MY FAVORITE COFFEE MAKER EVER!!!! It is VERY easy to clean & operate & makes an amazing, fresh pot of coffee. Also the "Grind Off" feature is wonderful.

Easy to use, easy to clean, darn good brew.

I've grinding and brewing whole bean for a while now, the pandemic only increased my consumption to the point I wore out my previous maker. This time, I wanted one that would grind and brew per a timer, therefore the freshest brew I can manage. This model hits on all points. Simply the best home coffee I have ever brewed, and consistently so. The filter and filter housing are easy to clean, and that is pretty much all the love this maker needs. Everything has shortcomings, and these are pretty petty: (1) I wish there was a bean-hopper extension to increase the bean capacity (I did say I brew a loooot), and related, (2) it does seem to grind a bit more than necessary, so I go through my bean a bit faster than expected. I had to dig a bit for those shortcomings. Excellent maker.

So far so good.

This is my 3rd grind and brew coffeemaker. The other 3 had several problems. Cuisinart knocked it out of the park with this one. Doesn't have a lot of steam escaping, which is nice for the cupboards. Not too much I would change, except the lid to the water reservoir is super smooth, which makes it difficult to get past the break over point. It needs a slight knurl on it or a slight lip on the top to facilitate lifting it to fill the reservoir.

Makes good coffee...has pro's and cons

Pros: This coffeemaker makes very good coffee. Can use either whole beans, grounds or combo. Can make smaller batches as good as full pot. Cons: Very finnicky setting controls. Clock runs fast...have to keep resetting to correct time. Program mode woks ork, but trying to start earlier than planned is cumbersome. Sometime grinds beans twice when starting manually...makes coffee too strong, plugs basket. All in all...good coffee taste is worth bit of trouble, but there may be better choices out there.
