Great smoke flavor

We were hoping that this would be a good and convenient option for our family of four. There wasn’t much to cooking it and the meet was juicy but the flavor was not good, it was way too salty. We decided to throw away most of the meat because of the flavor. It was almost like eating a ham but not as good.

I am a retired chef & have never cut corners on holiday meals. I am disabled now & was sick for Thanksgiving so I got 1 of these to try. I usually have turkey left over for gumbo after BUT, not with this turkey!!! It cooked so easily uncovered with basting in juices every once-n-awhile & a lil over 2 hours was perfect! Skin came out like turkey crackl’n!!! Smoky taste was not over powering & had a lil sweet hint on the back end. No seasoning or injecting needed!!! Moist flavorful & family fight’n over delicious!!!! In fact we’ve ordered & eat’n another since Thanksgiving & I ordered 2 for Christmas!! Others were right that Sam’s should carry this 1 more often! It’s a no brainer, clean, delicious taste’n, easy as can be Holiday Turkey MASTERPIECE!!!

Wonderful

We purchased a Honey Baked Ham but decided against their boneless turkey and purchased this smoke one with hopes of it being good. There was nothing good about it! It was delicious!!! Absolutely delicious!! The ease of putting the fully done turkey, in a turkey baking bad per our preference, and an hour and forty five minutes later we pulled out the juicy, delicious smoked Turkey we read about in other reviews. The smoked flavor is not overpowering and not salty. We will get it again for Christmas!

Turkey has a pinkish color, possibly from the smoking. It has an artificial smoke flavor and a soft texture. Tastes more like pastrami. I’ve never purchased a fully cooked turkey nor will I ever again. Nothing compares to a fresh cooked turkey. Very disappointing. Thanksgiving is about turkey dinner, but I definitely felt cheated. 😏🤨😖

My 11# fully cooked hickory smoked turkey only took 2 hours to heat and it was delicious. This turkey is not a "settle for" solution to the time crunch that is preparing Thanksgiving dinner. If you want moist turkey that tastes great and happens to give you more time and oven space for other dishes, choose this one.

I'm glad I decided to try this before Thanksgiving. My intention was to cut it up, have a taste of it to be sure we'd like it & freeze the rest until Thanksgiving. I don't usually leave reviews on food because everyone's taste is so different. But I couldn't help but comment on this smoked turkey. None of us found it to have a smoked flavor, or any flavor for that matter. And, all of us found it to have almost an aftertaste of something odd, maybe the smoked flavoring? I don't know, I can't really describe it, but all of us agreed it just wasn't very good. Glad I still have time to get a Butterball. On the positive side, it was very juicy, not at all dry, and, it's already thawed with a late December date, so that saves the time & trouble of thawing it.

We had reservations about buying a smoked turkey but read the reviews and gave it a shot. This was one of the most flavorful turkeys without heavy smoke taste, the taste was just right. All of our guests loved it. And, the big benefit was not working so long to get the turkey in the oven and then losing a lot of oven space. Will definitely buy again!
