Fresh sesame that is stored airtight and can be ground up pretty easily. The container is a pretty standard size for spices and fits in the cabinet pretty easily. Grinding the seeds down was easy with a grinder and was pretty fresh sesame. Can be easily used on a variety of foods.

Black sesame on salmon is a slightly different experience than tuna—and honestly, in some ways, it's even better. Salmon already has a rich, buttery flavor, so when you coat it in black sesame seeds and sear it, you get this deep, roasted nuttiness layered on top of natural fat and sweetness. The result feels heavier, more indulgent, and very satisfying. The crust forms a toasty, slightly crunchy outer layer, while the inside stays moist and flaky. We had dinner guests. What a great time to use the black sesame seeds. This is a 22 oz container. We served salmon with a honey, ginger glaze and brown rice topped off with black sesame seeds. The were a hit. The black sesame seeds added a bold nutty flavor to the dish. Everyone enjoyed the addition and I have been adding them to salads as well.

I'm not sure if my taste buds are off, however I did not taste any sesame in these seeds. The color is a bit unappealing, however they do add color to your dish. I think it would definitely make a tuna poke, bagel with cream cheese look pretty. Not a lot of flavor, but definitely will make a dish pop with its color.

The Black Sesame Seeds were a different item for me snd I needed to familiarize myself on how best to use. To date I have added to my fried eggs, deviled eggs and salads which added a more "earthy" flavor to both. I will be incorporating the seeds into other sides as I can.
