I received this all in one car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. In the two weeks that I've had it, I've been impressed! The fans definitely help my son stay cool. When getting him out of the car, I haven't noticed him being sweaty at all (a stark contrast to his infant car seat)! The fans are quiet, so they don't cause any annoyance. The seat's fabric is cushy and breathable. My son has fallen asleep in the seat, confirming its comfort. The cup holders are easily accessible and removable for washing. The harness holders may be my favorite feature, as I never have to dig for the straps! The magnetic chest clip makes it easy to hook/unhook. I was concerned that the magnets would reduce the strength of the clip, but after observing it, I no longer have that fear! The seat positions and straps are very easy to adjust when it's not installed. Installation was quick and easy using the latch connectors with exception to getting the straps pulled tight. I recruited my husband for this step. My one critique is that the fans continue running after turning off the car. The on/off switch is a simple solution to this, but it would be great to have one less thing to remember. Overall, I love this car seat and would recommend it, especially to anyone who has struggled with kiddos getting hot in their car seats!

I am incredibly impressed with this car seat, it was SUPER easy to install and I feel great knowing that my baby is safe, secure and comfortable. I was skeptical as I received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I'm blown away. The buckles are magnetic and so easy to lock and unlock even with a fussy toddler. The adjustable head rest is an added function that will help the seat grow with my baby in the coming years of use. The fabric is buttery soft and and has a great amount of cushioning to keep my son comfortable on our rides. The design is great, sleek and good looking. The cup holders are an added bonus for snacks and drinks. Too bad its winter but I can't wait to take advantage of the cooling system this summer as it gets in CT! My nanny also took this for a test drive and she said this is hands down one of the best car seats she has ever used.

We have traveled this summer on 4 12 hour trips and thanks to Pria chill fans my son has not over heated in the 100 heat. Being the only one with fans on him he was also the only one not sweating on the trips. The seat sits up high so if you can't lift your child up it can be a hard loading but that goes for most seats. We love the fans! My son always checked for them when we would get to the car. Love having this seat to keep our guy comfortable! He is easily able to sleep with the added soft white noise of the fans and never getting overheated. We used it for both our 3yr old and infant. Works so well! Easy to switch between them. Bonus! The chest clip can't be undone easily while seated in it. Making escaping hard.

I was given this all in one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Our infant carrier was also a Maxi-Cosi, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try it! Before opening the box, I was struck by how light this seat was compared to the all in one seat I was using at the time. The Pria Chill has ample padding; my little one sat in it right out of the box and I literally had to pry her out. She loved it. Installation was much easier than what I had read in other comments. If using the LATCH system, you have to pull at a slightly different angle than with other LATCH installs, but it took only about 10-15 minutes to get it installed. My only complaint is that Maxi-Cosi really needs its car seats to include a level and not just a straight line for reference. Plugging it in, of course, was simple. As for space, we have a Forester Sport with one row in the back. Much like our previous seat, you'd be hard pressed to fit 3 of these across or even to fit 2 adults in the back. We are still in rear facing mode for our 18 month old. Front to back (at level 2 recline), it takes up about an average amount of space. My 6 ft tall husband has plenty of space in the seat in front seat. Little one LOVES the seat. Her face lights up when the fan turns on and she usually is comfortable enough to fall right to sleep. It is currently a mild winter (temps in the 50-60F) but little miss runs warm, so the fan activates often. The fan at top speed is about as loud as a computer fan. It's not disruptive in any way. Much like with her Maxi-Cosi infant seat, I find it difficult to get the straps tight, but it's doable. Sometimes it seems like one side is longer than the other. The magnetic chest clip is a nice touch and very easy. Overall, it's a good seat. It's lightweight, easy to install, toddler seems comfy in it and the fan is a great touch! Minor changes could make it an incredible seat. I'd recommend to those in warm areas of with warm kiddos!

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. We received this car seat during the first week of December, and we live in Phoenix, Arizona. My daughter is almost 2, and I drive a small SUV. I mention all of that because I think one of the big draws of this car seat is the built in fans that it has. They are super quiet and a fantastic feature (today is December 7th, and it was an 80 degree day, so... yes please fans.). The cord is super long and easy to tie up. We threaded it up to my front dashand it stayed out of the way and tucked behind the passenger seat belt buckle without hassle. The switch ended up being right behind the passenger seat back, which makes it easy to reach in the back seat to toggle. I have a car that turns off the engine when it idles, and that made the fans turn off. Just FYI that they might not be consistently running if you are a momma that has to wait with your car parked in a school pick up line for an older kiddo. Really nice to see 2 cup holders and a lot of additional features to make baby comfortable. If we received this car seat when my daughter was an infant, it would have been really nice to use the extra padding that is provided for smaller babies -- way more removable pieces than other convertible car seats. A few cons that we did not enjoy when trying out this car seat: - the harness buckle across the chest is designed to be easier to manage (i think it has a magnet component), but it's actually a bit cumbersome to clip with a squirmy toddler. - the buckle part that's right between the legs gets covered by the padding really easily, so it's hard to get it to click since it slides around. - the cup holders are actually really small. They won't hold a 12 oz yeti bottle. - install is a PAIN. There is not a level, just a line that you're supposed make parallel to the seat. - pro and con on the padding; hard to get baby in unless the car door opening is huge.

Our toddler has constantly been complaining that she's too hot or cold. No more! I haven't heard a peep from her since we got this car seat. When I discovered the fans were only automatic, I thought there would still be complaints, but none so far. I love this seat. It's plush, comfy, and easy to get in and out of. The fabric is machine washable, and our little continues to say that this is the comfiest seat she's ever felt. The magnetic buckle is also amazing - quick and out of the way when getting in and out. The cup holders also come out and are dishwasher-safe. It's quick to install/uninstall using the LATCH system, though if you're moving seats around, you have to unthread the fan cord, too. I was worried the cord wouldn't be long enough because we need to plug it in in the front, but it was plenty long. The cord is under the floor mats, and it's easy to disconnect in the front. This has been helpful since the switch on the seat is hard to reach in forward-facing mode. The indicator light at the top of the seat is super helpful; it's easy to see from the rearview mirror yet not bothersome for tired kids in the back (though maybe red would have been a better choice than blue for night). It's been a good indicator for me to turn down the air when it comes on. We are using this seat in forward-facing mode, though I have to say, I think this is the first convertible car seat I would consider using for an infant. The inserts provided, coupled with the magnetic buckle that stays out of the way when putting a baby in, really make this an ideal choice if you are using a convertible seat with a baby. The only major downside is that we can only use this car seat for one child due to the 12V connector. I would also still like the option to manually turn on the fans even though I haven't needed to yet. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, though if a future version has a rechargeable battery option, I will be purchasing more!

Overall this seat is a game changer for littles, especially on those hot summer days. It was a fairly easy install and the manual was extremely easy and helpful. It took a few attempts to make sure the seat was secure but after that it was smooth sailing. The fans are very easy to turn on and the indicator light is super helpful. I felt like it cooled off the seat very quickly and my baby fell asleep quickly and easily. The strap covers seemed to hinder a tight enough harness so I removed those early on. The only things I wish were different were the rear facing weight limit (40 lbs vs 50lbs), its a little larger than other seats and the fans arent able to be controlled (they sense the temperature and fluctuate between low, medium and high). Overall this is a fantastic seat! !

The Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill car seat is a great option if you live somewhere that gets hot! The breathable, chemical flame retardant free fabric is lovely, and the fans combined with the mesh really keep kiddo cooler in the car. Fans are automatic, but you can turn off the feature with a switch too. I prefer this seat for a larger baby despite it saying it can fit 4lbs and up. For an infant I found that the infant insert pads slide down and make it difficult to tighten the straps properly. The chest clip is also quite oversized for a small infant. The seat is also tricky to angle properly for a newborn and makes install tough. For a larger baby the magnetic easy in-out chest clip is awesome, as are the strap holders. The removable dishwasher safe cup holders are amazing and the seat is easy to clean overall. It looks really nice in the car, but is a better fit for a larger vehicle. Overall I really like this seat for ease of use, especially for toddlers-preschool age kids. I would personally look at something else if you want a single birth through booster seat, or drive a compact car.

After testing the car sat for a few months I'll give this a 4 out of 5 stars. Overall the car seat is aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean when those messes happen. The magnetic chest strap made it super easy to clip one handed. You can pull and adjust without climbing in the car! I found the air fan comforting for my child when he needed a car nap. The air fan was nice to have on hot days but not sure it made a difference in cooling him down than the air did. I gave 4 starts since its easy to clean and the looks is nice.
