Absolutely love this seat! The fans work really well and keep my baby cool and content in his seat unlike any other seat I have owned. The fabric is very breathable while still being soft and the seat is very lightweight, making it easy to travel with and transfer between cars. Highly recommend!

This car seat is a must have for any new parent out there! It grows with your little one, making it an all-in-one for all your family needs and it keeps them dry and comfy as they grow too! The cooling system is a must have for anyone who likes to travel with their little ones, but also if you happen to live somewhere super hot like I do! No more sweaty kiddos! The only things I would change are probably a bigger cup holder, the one it comes with is not wide enough, so only skinny bottles can be used. The Velcro neck pads also come off easily, so maybe sown them so you don't have to keep looking for them all over the car. All in all, a great car seat to have and enjoy until your little one is little no more!

This is the first convertible car seat our youngest has been in (moved her from an infant seat) and I'm glad it will last because she loves it. She took a nap in it right away. She is about 17 lbs and 8 months and didn't need the provided infant cushion to fit in the seat. Installing the car seat wasn't the easiest, it was very difficult to get the seat to where it wouldn't move more than an inch or two when we wiggled it. We have had that problem with basically every car seat, though. Just plan on using muscle when you install it. This was for a rear-facing install. The fans are incredible. She seemed much more comfortable in the heat than her two older siblings who don't have this car seat. The indicator light made it easy to tell when the fans were on. I was worried about the fans draining my battery but they turned off when I turned off my car. The cord wasn't too in the way but I won't be able to plug in more than one of these in my car, which is a bummer since I think my older two would love them. The car seat seemed very comfortable and had ample padding but still felt safe and sturdy. The fabric is pretty soft and the color is neutral enough to match everything. I was confused about if my baby can still use the additional back and head pillows, I couldn't find the information in the manual so I left them off just in case. I love that there are no added flame retardants, the cup holders remove and can be washed in the dishwasher, and the fabric can be washed in the washing machine. Definitely things that first time parents might not think about but will appreciate! Overall, love the car seat and wish there was a way for all of my kids to have one!

This is a great car seat. The Vent Max technology has been a game changer for us. We live in Arizona, and this summer has been very hot. Knowing my girl is getting air is such a relief as she is still rear facing. The fabric is very breathable, and remains cool even though it stays in the car. I haven't used the cup holders, but they are very nice to have once my girl gets bigger. The magnetic chest clip is easy to use, and belts are easy to adjust. My baby seems to be very comfortable in the seat, and happy. The sound of the fans is just enough to let you know they are on, but not annoying. I also like that there is an indicator light, but it isn't too bright. I would definitely recommend this car seat to anyone looking for a convertible seat for their little one. I am so excited to continue to use it as she grows and turns front facing!

I was thankful to be chosen to test out this car seat free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I love this car seat- the cooling fans are quiet yet effective, and I especially like that there is a visual indicator when it is functioning so I can tell with a quick glance whether or not my baby is benefiting from the enhanced airflow. The power cord isn't overly cumbersome, the seat itself is made of plush, comfortable fabrics, and the cover and cupholders are removable and easy to clean which is always a bonus! Adjustments were pretty seamlessly made due to the streamlined, no-fuss methods provided, and I don't think I can go back to non-magnetic chest clips now!

Our toddler has constantly been complaining that she's too hot or cold. No more! I haven't heard a peep from her since we got this car seat. When I discovered the fans were only automatic, I thought there would still be complaints, but none so far. I love this seat. It's plush, comfy, and easy to get in and out of. The fabric is machine washable, and our little continues to say that this is the comfiest seat she's ever felt. The magnetic buckle is also amazing - quick and out of the way when getting in and out. The cup holders also come out and are dishwasher-safe. It's quick to install/uninstall using the LATCH system, though if you're moving seats around, you have to unthread the fan cord, too. I was worried the cord wouldn't be long enough because we need to plug it in in the front, but it was plenty long. The cord is under the floor mats, and it's easy to disconnect in the front. This has been helpful since the switch on the seat is hard to reach in forward-facing mode. The indicator light at the top of the seat is super helpful; it's easy to see from the rearview mirror yet not bothersome for tired kids in the back (though maybe red would have been a better choice than blue for night). It's been a good indicator for me to turn down the air when it comes on. We are using this seat in forward-facing mode, though I have to say, I think this is the first convertible car seat I would consider using for an infant. The inserts provided, coupled with the magnetic buckle that stays out of the way when putting a baby in, really make this an ideal choice if you are using a convertible seat with a baby. The only major downside is that we can only use this car seat for one child due to the 12V connector. I would also still like the option to manually turn on the fans even though I haven't needed to yet. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, though if a future version has a rechargeable battery option, I will be purchasing more!

I'm a mom to three boys, and our youngest is 18 mo. so I've seen a lot of car seats! I was very excited when I received this all-in-one car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This car seat is gorgeous, I love the color and the clean look of it. The fabric is soft too! It is very easy to install nice and tight with the LATCH system, and the instructions were very clear about the appropriate recline for my rear-facing toddler. The pad on the crotch buckle keeps it easy to access instead of having to fish it out from under the baby, and I love the magnet buckle at the chest clip; it is really easy to properly buckle, but did take some practice to undo (with the benefit of being more difficult for a busy toddler to undo!). I was having trouble tightening the harness with the strap pads on but when I removed them it was easy to get a snug fit. Another big benefit to this seat is how easy it is to remove and reinstall the pads! I was excited to see they can be machine-washed even with the cooling fan feature. The removable, dishwasher-safe cupholders are GREAT! There are two things that I didn't love. First, when I was sent the product from the manufacturer initially, the seat arrived without the LATCH straps. Because I am an experienced parent, I knew that because our vehicle has LATCH, it is the best way to install the seat. I contacted Dorel and they arranged to have a new seat sent. It was great customer service, but I imagined that if I hadn't known to look for the LATCH straps (like if I were a first-time parent) I would have missed out on this big safety feature. The other disappointment for me is the 40" height limit on rear-facing. I have tall and skinny kids who will likely outgrow the limit before we want to switch them to front-facing. I am excited about the fan system but we didn't get to test the venting because it is winter here. I wish it was a USB vs. cigarette lighter plug. That said, I'm looking forward to using it this summer!

My toddler and I are very thankful to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this cool (pun intended) seat! My little guy runs quite warm, and my car doesn't have rear air vents, so I'm very excited to have integrated fans that will help him stay cool in the summer. He finds the seat to be very comfortable, and has an easier time getting in and out of it than our previous seat. The seat is very cushy, and includes very soft, extra cushioning for smaller infants. I love how easy it is to remove the cup holders and seat pad for washing, as well as the feel and quality of the materials used. The power cord is slim and unobtrusive, and the positioning on the back of the seat means no little grabby hands will get to it! The seat does ride high, which my toddler loves, but is a bit of a visual blocker in my Honda Fit hatchback. I found adjusting it tough, because it's a bit stiff, but I assume it'll become easier with time. I also struggled to get the seat installed with the LATCH tethers (my preferred method of install), and the lack of a bubble level at this price point seems like an oversight. The lack of bubble level, and the fact that I've only used rigid LATCH in the past, meant that getting a tight, level fit was tough until I had my virtual installation appointment. I learned exactly how to navigate installation smoothly, and because the seat is so light, moving it between cars and reattaching everything will be a breeze now that I know what to do. My favorite feature of the seat is the magnetic, quick release chest clip; it honestly feels revolutionary and I can't believe I was missing out on such an easy to use safety clip. Overall, I'm not in love with the seat - yet. My toddler is very happy, though, and I know that this will be a big win during our hot California summers, so I'm sure I will grow to love the seat with time.

I live in a very warm climate. Since I have 2 car seats in the back seat of my car for my 2 young children, my 1.5 year old's rear facing car seat always blocks the back & center AC vents, which makes him sweaty and uncomfortable in his car seat on hot days. Since he is rear facing, I am constantly worried that my 1.5 year old is overheating in his seat while I'm driving. The Maxi Cosi Pria Chill all in one car seat solves that problem! Yes, it is a large seat and that is one of the biggest cons of the seat. However, the innovative fans in this seat make everything worth it and far outweigh the inconvenience of the seat's large size. The fans turn on automatically in hot weather! The fans make a little noise but are generally pretty quiet and definitely not bothersome. Since you can hear them, you know the fans are working (but there is an indicator light that turns on when the fans are running if you aren't sure). My 1.5 year old loves this seat and it is an absolute lifesaver when it is hot. It wasn't a very complicated seat to install in my small SUV. Now that I have this seat, I'll never go back to another car seat.

I really love how this car seat keeps my child cool. We live in a really hot climate so it is risky trying to cool the car down and feeling comfortable putting the kids in without worrying about if theyre going to overheat in their seats. Previously in an infant carried my daughter would be sweaty after crying and with this seat she has never been sweaty! It also automatically gauges when its warmer than 71 degrees and kicks the fans on automatically using three different fan speeds depending on how hot. The other great thing is if youre unsure if its working there is the blue light meaning its on OR you can also hear the fans working to reassure you your child is being cooled. Overall, love the seat and dont think I could purchase another seat without a fan system like this moving forward.
