I received this all in one car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. In the two weeks that I've had it, I've been impressed! The fans definitely help my son stay cool. When getting him out of the car, I haven't noticed him being sweaty at all (a stark contrast to his infant car seat)! The fans are quiet, so they don't cause any annoyance. The seat's fabric is cushy and breathable. My son has fallen asleep in the seat, confirming its comfort. The cup holders are easily accessible and removable for washing. The harness holders may be my favorite feature, as I never have to dig for the straps! The magnetic chest clip makes it easy to hook/unhook. I was concerned that the magnets would reduce the strength of the clip, but after observing it, I no longer have that fear! The seat positions and straps are very easy to adjust when it's not installed. Installation was quick and easy using the latch connectors with exception to getting the straps pulled tight. I recruited my husband for this step. My one critique is that the fans continue running after turning off the car. The on/off switch is a simple solution to this, but it would be great to have one less thing to remember. Overall, I love this car seat and would recommend it, especially to anyone who has struggled with kiddos getting hot in their car seats!

This is such a great car seat! It looks great and comes with an amazing cooling feature for your little one. I struggle to help keep my little guy cool in my hot car during the summer so this cooling feature is truly a game-changer! The chord for this fan feature does, unfortunately, get in the way but that, I believe, is due to the fact I do not have an outlet in my back seat. It therefore needs to be routed to the front which puts it more in the way. This isn't a huge issue for me, however, because having the cooling feature outweighs the chord being slightly in the way. It was relatively easy to install rear-facing using the belt path and understanding how to make the correct adjustments were pretty straight forward. I will say, adjusting the headrest up and adjusting the tilt did take a bit of effort; you also have to pull rather hard in order to get a secure fit. I do love the magnetic chest clip closure and the harness clips on the side to keep the straps out of the way while getting your kiddo in; it makes getting a squirmy 2-year-old into a rear facing car seat much easier! The look and fabric of this car seat are absolutely lovely and the design of the head rest makes me feel like my child's head is truly protected. I'm overall incredibly pleased with this car seat. I wasn't aware that the car seat would have a cord that needed to plug in but thinking about it now it makes sense. My son is rear facing so there really isn't a concern with the cord because he can't reach it. When he is forward facing I will have to take a little more care with the cord but I think it will be worth it. My son seems to run hot and I am constantly pulling him out of the car seat sweaty, especially since we live in Southern California. I love that he can stay cool since the fans can reach him much easier than my cars AC. We might use this feature a little less now since it's winter but we do still have our warm days and definitely will in the summer. The pads of the car seat seem super comfortable and even though my son can't talk to tell me, he does seem comfortable in it. The seat fits easily in my car without any issues. Overall I would absolutely recommend this seat!

Upscale seat with all the bells and whistles, to last you from birth to by-myself-buckling! The luxury, convenience, and safety of the added cooling fans makes this a standout car seat. Would recommend! We love the quality fabrics and the size/angle of the seat for my 99th percentile daughter. My 4 year old relishes the cooling fans in the summer, and she has started falling asleep in the car again, which is a game changer for us all.

This car seat was perfect for my 1 year old who runs hot and hates being in the car because of how uncomfortable he gets. When I found out I was receiving this car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was so excited to test it out with the fan function. Upon receiving it I loved the design and how soft and comfortable the fabric and the seat in general was. It was super easy to install and it was easy to get him in and out. It took a minute to get the hang of the magnetic chest buckle but after I tried it I loved how easy it was to handle and still safe and secure. Even though it is wintertime for us my son still overheats in the car when wearing sweatshirts aand the heat full blast , so the fan actually turns on for him when it has gotten too warm in the car even in the wintertime when needed. I can't wait to have this function in the summertime too! The cord for the fan was easy to hide since it was plugged into the back and out of tiny hands reach. The seat was super easy to install, we didn't even need a virtual appointment, although we appreciated one being available if we needed help. The only design I would change is the cushion cover for the crotch buckle- it went a little higher than I like and adds a little time to move it out of the way In order to unbuckle, but we ended up just removing that padding thanks to the easy customization of the design! Overall my little guy has been super comfortable in his car seat, I love that we can keep him cool if he overheats because that was always on my mind. And I love how gorgeous and sleek it looks!

I really love this car seat. This will be our third Maxi-Cosi car seat (in three kids) and I've had nothing but good experiences with this brand. This new Maxi-Cosi Pria™ Chill has all the things I love about my original Pria™ (comfortable padding, high safety rating, good quality materials) and adds some great features like a magnetic chest clip, built-in strap holders, breathable fabric, and ventilation fans. We moved to South Carolina last year and the summer heat is no joke. "Hot" is my 2 year old's #1 complaint in the car, so this fan system is such a useful feature for us! I found this seat to be easy to install both rear facing and front-facing. The LATCH clips are easy-release and the straps are simple to route through when making adjustments. And, if any challenges or hiccups arise during install, Maxi-Cosi offers a virtual car seat appointment to get questions answered and provide peace of mind for a proper install. Once I got it installed, I routed the fan cord down the front of the seat, under the floor mat, and up to the center console to plug in. It was really easy to tuck away. My favorite feature is the magnetic chest clip. It makes buckling and unbuckling super easy without sacrificing a feeling of security - it clicks on tight! It did take me a few tries to get good at the unclipping, but now it comes easily. Overall, this is the same high-quality seat that I know and love from Maxi-Cosi with some added "cool" features that make life easier - a total win for me! Of note, I'm a NICU nurse so I am very familiar with fitting newborns in car seats and it is NOT an easy thing to do in some brands/models. The Pria™ Chill is recommended down to 4lbs and I feel confident that the provided newborn inserts would make this possible, so this seat could be used from the very first ride home from the hospital. She's big, she's plush, she's cool, and she's safe. She's a fantastic car seat. Let's break it down. She's definitely big. I wouldn't recommend this car seat for a compact vehicle. I have a large SUV, and it takes up every bit of the seating space. The seat is on the heavier side and my child sits up higher in Maxi-Cosi Pria compared to other brands. She's plush. The seat padding is next level and the color combo with the small leather details is perfect. The seat comes with an assortment of additional padding, but the instructions lack explanation on how to correctly use them. Is there a height and weight requirement? I don't know. Shout out to Maxi-Cosi for making the cup holders not only removable, but dishwasher safe. There is nothing more disgusting than a toddler's cup holders. So thank you for that. She's cool. The Maxi-Cosi Pria's cooling feature is outstanding. No more sweaty babies, especially in rear facing. I can't wait to put this element to the full test this summer in the California heat. Connecting the car seat was super simple. The small cord fit under the floor mat, and then I ran it in between the seats to reach the plug. It's well hidden. Oh, did I mention it's quiet? She's safe. This car seat holds a 4-100lb child. That might be the best feature of the seat. For me, a long-term rear-facing seat is so important. This seat maxes out at 40 lbs for rear facing! The Pria Chill gives clear install instructions and the option to speak with a Maxi-Cosi certified tech for any installation questions. The installation went smoothly. I like the magnetic chest clip. The side harness hooks are a helpful-added detail. However, I don't love the lower buckle cover. It's very bulky and impedes the clips if it slides down. My chief complaint would be the lack of information Maxi-Cosi provides about the cooling feature such as at what temperature does it turn on. I was privileged to be able to test this car seat before it was released to be purchased. It's been a blessing to our family, especially in the toasty summer months.The car seat meets all your functional car seat needs while having added benefits, such as the easy-to-use fans that help to keep your baby/child cool. The fan speed automatically adjusts based on the temperature of the car. The seat is powered by a cord that plugs into your car adapter. (Note: if you only have one socket, this does mean choosing between using your cell phone charger (or other devices) OR having the fans plugged in. This is one of the only inconveniences i've noticed about the carseat.) Some of my favorite features include the convenient side slots provided that hold the straps in place when loading or unloading your little one. I use these almost every time I load my one year old and it truly does make my life easier. My other carseats require me to significantly loosen the straps to keep them out of the way or to hold straps to the side while loading/unloading. This carseat also has an easy headrest adjustment feature and provides other nice benefits such as having a fully washable car seat cover and washable cup holders that twist to remove. (My son still has not been able to remove them on his own which he does in one of our other car seats.) This is a car seat that would be particularly helpful for families living in warm climates and for those using the carseat rear facing without rear air vents in your vehicle. (I do not have rear air vents in my car and this definitely gets the cool air moving faster.) If it gives you comfort to know that your child has cool moving air drifting around them, even on a hot day, and you want a generally well designed and and thoughtfully crafted car seat, this seat will meet your needs.
