I was so excited to receive the Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill through the Stellar Review Panel. When the car seat arrived I was immediately impressed by how comfortable it felt! The cushions are plush and the material is soft but the perforated design ensures that heat doesn't get trapped. My daughter is also very comfortable sitting in it and loves that there are cup holders which is perfect for tucking a bottle for her to drink or just play with! My favorite feature is the magnetic chest clip, it makes it incredibly easy to secure her, there's no fumbling with a buckle. While we haven't been able to utilize the cooling feature yet due to the winter weather, I am looking forward to this capability. My daughter is still rear facing so when the AC vents are on there are non directly on her and she has been very warm and upset until my car cools down. I did check to see which route would be best to run the cord and am happy that I will be able to tuck it between the seats and run it under the foot mats to keep it out of the way! Overall a great car seat!

We have traveled this summer on 4 12 hour trips and thanks to Pria chill fans my son has not over heated in the 100 heat. Being the only one with fans on him he was also the only one not sweating on the trips. The seat sits up high so if you can't lift your child up it can be a hard loading but that goes for most seats. We love the fans! My son always checked for them when we would get to the car. Love having this seat to keep our guy comfortable! He is easily able to sleep with the added soft white noise of the fans and never getting overheated. We used it for both our 3yr old and infant. Works so well! Easy to switch between them. Bonus! The chest clip can't be undone easily while seated in it. Making escaping hard.

I very much appreciate the ventilated fabric and the fans to help reduce baby's sweating. But there are a couple of things needed in order to make this a truly premium car seat. It was hard to get the seat level. A bubble indicator would help a lot, as would the ability to adjust the recline even after the seat is installed. As with many convertible car seats, this one takes up a great deal of space front-to-back when installed rear facing. I love the magnetic chest clip, but I had trouble every time trying to you release the buckle. It never became intuitive to me. Finally, why on earth is the plug for a cigarette lighter, which so many cars these days do not have? ! ? Before buying, make sure your expectations are appropriate. This is a ventilating system, not a cooling system. Just like the ventilation system currently in a lot of cars. A fan merely moves the air around, and helps sweat to evaporate. This is not an air conditioning unit. Note that I received this product for free in exchange for testing and providing feedback over several weeks of use.

Our toddler has constantly been complaining that she's too hot or cold. No more! I haven't heard a peep from her since we got this car seat. When I discovered the fans were only automatic, I thought there would still be complaints, but none so far. I love this seat. It's plush, comfy, and easy to get in and out of. The fabric is machine washable, and our little continues to say that this is the comfiest seat she's ever felt. The magnetic buckle is also amazing - quick and out of the way when getting in and out. The cup holders also come out and are dishwasher-safe. It's quick to install/uninstall using the LATCH system, though if you're moving seats around, you have to unthread the fan cord, too. I was worried the cord wouldn't be long enough because we need to plug it in in the front, but it was plenty long. The cord is under the floor mats, and it's easy to disconnect in the front. This has been helpful since the switch on the seat is hard to reach in forward-facing mode. The indicator light at the top of the seat is super helpful; it's easy to see from the rearview mirror yet not bothersome for tired kids in the back (though maybe red would have been a better choice than blue for night). It's been a good indicator for me to turn down the air when it comes on. We are using this seat in forward-facing mode, though I have to say, I think this is the first convertible car seat I would consider using for an infant. The inserts provided, coupled with the magnetic buckle that stays out of the way when putting a baby in, really make this an ideal choice if you are using a convertible seat with a baby. The only major downside is that we can only use this car seat for one child due to the 12V connector. I would also still like the option to manually turn on the fans even though I haven't needed to yet. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, though if a future version has a rechargeable battery option, I will be purchasing more!

Absolutely love this seat! The fans work really well and keep my baby cool and content in his seat unlike any other seat I have owned. The fabric is very breathable while still being soft and the seat is very lightweight, making it easy to travel with and transfer between cars. Highly recommend!

I was given this all in one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We currently use the seat as a forward facing seat with my 4.5 year old daughter. The seat feels and looks sturdy. The material is beautiful. The fabric is soft, but breathable, and very comfortable for my daughter, who can be a tough critic when it comes to "itchy" material. We know from experience, this brand has easy to clean carseat material! Removable dishwasher safe cup holders are great! The harness holders are also very helpful. We have not had to use the additional inserts/padding meant for a smaller child, but you can tell they are comfortable and easy to take on and off. The installation process was easy enough with great picture instructions and easy to follow steps. My only challenge was putting the seatbelt through the openings. It's a small opening and the plastic can feel sharp as you are trying to pass the belt through. When we first installed the seat it seemed too loose. We reinstalled and got it to feel more secure. It does say that the seat can move up to 1 inch. The headrest was easy to adjust and raise. The magnetic chest clip seems high quality and very secure. My daughter said she was comfortable and she looked it! She can often complain about feeling uncomfortable or too hot in her seat (even in the winter), and we haven't heard a peep yet. The power cord for the cooling feature was easy to use— it plugs into the back of the seat and we have it routed to the front center console. It's long enough that you could easily lay it flat and easily step over it. The on/off switch is easy to use and the indicator light by the headrest helps you know that it is on. Overall: We love the look of this seat! know it's a high quality safe seat for our family. We were able to install it with little frustration. We are eager to use the cooling feature more often in the summer. We also love that this seat can be used for years to come!

Our baby girl now rides in style! We are so impressed with how comfortable the chair is for her. Our daughter is 18 months and a little small for her age. We just moved her from her infant seat to this convertible chair and it was a smooth transition. She had begun trying to sit up and turn around and seems to really like being fully upright now. So many people have commented that it looks like she is in a throne! We didn't need to use any, but we are impressed by how many inserts were included for different sized kiddos. All that being said, our favorite feature is the built in fans. We are Florida residents and we're always concerned about the temperature in the backseat. There is a switch on the cord in the back that we choose to keep on at all times because the fan automatically kicks on when it starts getting warm. I used to have to put my hand in the back to try to open/close the AC vents but this fan automatically increases or decreases based on how hot it's getting. Total game changer! The only reason we give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because we often find ourselves fumbling with the buckles because they are bulky. And because the padding on the seat belt has a very thin strip of Velcro so it doesn't stay on well and frequently comes off. That being said, even when they fall off, it doesn't compromise the comfort for our daughter. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting us test out this new, game changer seat!!!

This carseat is an impressive piece of engineering that doesn't just prioritize safety but also considers comfort and convenience for both me and my child. My overall impression of this car seat is overwhelmingly positive! The automatic fan system is a game-changer. I received the car seat in November, but and the fan only kicked on a few times, but I imagine that this feature is especially helpful during hot weather months. It genuinely helped my little one stay cool on the few warmer days that we had and when we had the heat on in the car too high. The adjustable fan settings and its position provided a nice airflow that made car rides much more pleasant for my child. In terms of design, fabric, and comfort-enhancing features, this car seat hits all the right marks. The fabric is not only soft but also is durable and easy to clean, which is a huge plus for me because my child spills water, milk, food, and whatever he can. Installation and adjustment are super easy. The design and clear instructions made the initial setup a breeze. The cord routing system is well-thought-out and is in the back of the car seat, ensuring the cord stays out of the way and doesn't become a safety hazard or an annoyance for my child. The incorporation of the fan system and the thoughtful design elements truly set this car seat apart from others in the market. I would recommend this car seat to all of my friends and family.

Overall this seat is a game changer for littles, especially on those hot summer days. It was a fairly easy install and the manual was extremely easy and helpful. It took a few attempts to make sure the seat was secure but after that it was smooth sailing. The fans are very easy to turn on and the indicator light is super helpful. I felt like it cooled off the seat very quickly and my baby fell asleep quickly and easily. The strap covers seemed to hinder a tight enough harness so I removed those early on. The only things I wish were different were the rear facing weight limit (40 lbs vs 50lbs), its a little larger than other seats and the fans arent able to be controlled (they sense the temperature and fluctuate between low, medium and high). Overall this is a fantastic seat! !

The maxi-cosi pria chill car seat is an essential for anyone living in the south, especially during the hot summer! I would not have known what to do without this seat during the weeks we had that were so hot you didn't want to go outside! Not only is it light weight, but fit perfectly with multiple other car seats in our car as well. The plug in portion for the fans were not as issue at all, and we easily forgot it was even there. None of the kids even bothered it like I thought might be a concern. Cleaning the seat is super easy and my kids don't even cry in the car seat. We use this seat daily and I definitely recommend this car seat to anyone considering purchasing!
