This seat has been such a game changer for those hot miserable summer days. The 3 speed fans keep my child cool and comfortable, specially being rear facing and not having a direct vent. The fans do have a noise but it's not loud enough to be a pain. My child seems to enjoy it and it's almost like a slight white noise. The shoulder strap are the kind that don't stay up and the buckle pad does slide off occasionally when taking my child out, so they are a pain to always be adjusting. The fabric cleans nicely and I haven't had any problems with staining. The cover is easy to remove and put back on. The mesh fabric isn't as smooth as some of their other fabrics and crumbs can get stuck in the mesh holes. I do understand that it needs to be a fabric that air can flow through so it makes sense but can be frustrating trying to vacuum out. Installing the seat was easy and straight forward. I plugged mine into the 12v plug in my trunk and ran the cord through my seat creases so it stays out of the way and is hidden. The cord is long and can easily reach the front or rear outlet. The on-off indicator light is easy to tell if it is lit up with my rear baby camera. My seat is rear facing so the manual switch is easy to reach. However, in forward facing it might not be as easy to reach. I have a Toyota RAV4 and it fits nicely behind my seat (drivers seat). I currently have two Maxi Cosi seats in the back and everyone in my family fits great. My husband usually rides passenger because it gives him more room with a forward facing seat to put his chair back (he is 6'4). All that to say it's not a gigantic seat and can fit comfortably in a small SUV. Overall, if you love the Maxi Cosi car seats you will not be disappointed with this one!

We tried the Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill car seat with our newborn in July in the Midwest. We were excited to try it because our Honda Odyssey's a/c vents are in awkward spots and we worry about our rear-facing kids in car seats getting adequate cooling. The car seat looks plush, but is pretty bulky (I'm guessing partly because of the embedded fans?). I didn't find the install to be particularly easy in our Honda Odyssey's second row. The 3-levels of recline weren't enough to get the seat level to the ground for our newborn who can't sit up unassisted, so I had to use a pool noodle to recline the seat further. This made me feel like the seat was less secure, even though it passed the 1 inch of movement test. Once the seat was reclined sufficiently, it took up so much space that no one could ride in the front passenger seat. That said, once I was used to it, the seat was pretty easy to use and my newborn seemed comfortable and happy in it. For parents looking to use a convertible seat at birth, I'd make sure your stroller can be used with a newborn if you don't have a bucket seat. I'd also recommend double-checking the newborn's fit with the harness strap covers - they may need to be removed for the chest clip to fit properly and the straps to pass the pinch test. The fans turn on right away in hot weather and the indicator light makes it easy to see they're running. Although the fans make a little noise, it's unnoticeable over the road noise once you get going. I like that the harness and headrest adjust automatically and that a lot of little details are thought of - like making the cup holders easily removable for cleaning. I suspect we'll like this seat a lot more once we have an older infant that is outgrowing the infant bucket and doesn't need such a deep recline. It's probably great as a forward-facing seat. Overall, I would recommend this seat to parents living in warm climates who are looking for ways to keep their children comfortable in their car seats.

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first glance, this car seat is very visually appealing. The color scheme is neutral and the fabric is very soft and breathable. The plush padding is nice and cozy, and my little has been very content riding around in this seat since we received it. The head support pillows help my little one stay comfortable and his head in a more stable and comfortable position if he does fall asleep during the drive. I live in the Midwest, so the fan isn't overly necessary at this moment since it is winter, but when giving it a try it is very clear it is going to be a life saver during warm spring or summer days. My car does not have overhead vents and the backseat gets pretty warm for my rear facing little which requires me to use clip fans to keep him cool which is less than ideal and not near as safe as this option. The harness was very easy to adjust as well as clip and unclip. The placement of the release button in the seat is very conveniently placed and easy to access. I like that the straps can be moved completely out of the way for easy in and out. The cup holders are a nice size and are easy to remove and clean. Install required a little bit of muscle, but this is extremely common when installing a convertible car seat. I didn't feel it was too difficult to get it secured and adjusted to the right setting in a timely manner. I also love that you don't have to rethread to adjust the straps! Major time saver. No issues at all with the cord. It was long enough to reach my port and I was able to easily hide it under the mat so it is out of the way. The indicator light is nice so I know when the fan is on or off, and that it activates or turns off with the car is a very convenient feature. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the features of this car seat. You get a lot of bang for your buck, but the built in fan for cars without overhead vents is a GAME CHANGER! I definitely recommend to all!

We live in Texas and it is so hard to keep my child cool, even with the AC on full blast. I always feel so bad when I take my daughter out of her seat and her back is sweaty from her car seat. This car seat has a solution for sweaty kids and I'm so here for it!! I could see this also being amazing for rear-facing kiddos who get hot too. I'm so grateful Stellar Panel provided us this car seat to try. Though it did arrive in December, we tested it out on a warmer day and it worked really well. First, it was easy to install. The directions were straightforward and easy to follow. The seat itself felt well constructed and I really liked the feel of the fabric. It feels ventilated and high tech while still being soft. It's not wool- but it's still moisture wicking. I also like that it's flame-retardant chemical free. I did knock off a star- my daughter has a hard time un-clipping the chest strap herself when we drop her off for carpool at school. But that is the only thing I don't like about this seat. I'm excited to test it in the 100+ degree temps this summer.

This Pria Chill Maxi-Cosi car seat has been wonderful! My little ones all seem to run hot and this built-in fan system has been a game changer. Even recently it's been unseasonably warm for us in November and December in our area and the cooling features have been great. I thought the fans might make the car seat extra bulky or oddly shaped, but that isn't the case at all. The installation into our car was straightforward and simple. There is the extra chord for the fans, but it wasn't hard to figure out where to plug-in and how to keep it out of the way. The fabric colors are neutral and nice. The materials feel really plush, which makes me feel better since my baby is sleeping in it so often while carting him around with older siblings. I love that the fabric is safe for him to be breathing near, since it's free from flame-retardant chemicals. The cup holders that are removable to be washed in the dishwasher is also so thoughtful and helpful for sticky messes. Having been through a few different seats with three kids, this one has all the features. Just wish we had it for baby #1! We are so glad we received this carseat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

This car seat is wonderful quality: from the VentMax technology cooling system down to the cozy fabric. You'll never want a car seat without the fan technology once you try it and it keeps your baby comfortable, especially during hot summers! The magnetic chest clip is so easy to clip baby in and out. There are different pillows/cushions available depending on the age-size of your baby and it's easy to remove the ones you don't need or they grow out of. It's easy to change the recline position depending on which you need. The only dislikes I had about this car seat is I wish there was a shade attachment to help keep the sun out and I wish there was an attachment like an adjustable arch to hang toys from to keep baby entertained during car rides. Other than that, this car seat is amazing and a game changer! I would highly recommend this car seats to other parents!

I really love how this car seat keeps my child cool. We live in a really hot climate so it is risky trying to cool the car down and feeling comfortable putting the kids in without worrying about if theyre going to overheat in their seats. Previously in an infant carried my daughter would be sweaty after crying and with this seat she has never been sweaty! It also automatically gauges when its warmer than 71 degrees and kicks the fans on automatically using three different fan speeds depending on how hot. The other great thing is if youre unsure if its working there is the blue light meaning its on OR you can also hear the fans working to reassure you your child is being cooled. Overall, love the seat and dont think I could purchase another seat without a fan system like this moving forward.

This is a great car seat. The Vent Max technology has been a game changer for us. We live in Arizona, and this summer has been very hot. Knowing my girl is getting air is such a relief as she is still rear facing. The fabric is very breathable, and remains cool even though it stays in the car. I haven't used the cup holders, but they are very nice to have once my girl gets bigger. The magnetic chest clip is easy to use, and belts are easy to adjust. My baby seems to be very comfortable in the seat, and happy. The sound of the fans is just enough to let you know they are on, but not annoying. I also like that there is an indicator light, but it isn't too bright. I would definitely recommend this car seat to anyone looking for a convertible seat for their little one. I am so excited to continue to use it as she grows and turns front facing!

This Maxi-Cosi Pria car seat is top notch when it comes to comfort for your little one. We are using the car seat reverse facing for a 1 1/2 year old. She LOVES getting in this car seat which is a small miracle in itself if you have ever tried to wrangle a toddler into a car seat when they don't want to get in said car seat. First with car seat installation - very easy, the plug adapter for the built in cooling system is easy to plug into the seat. I will say the only downside is you have a cord dangling from the car seat to the outlet when you use it. If you don't wish to use it, you can detach the cord completely. This car seat is NOT for small/compact cars. We are using it in a Chevy Silverado and there is room but it is a very large seat. It did not fit in our Audi Q5. Second for comfort - this car seat has so much padding and cushion that it makes me wish it came in adult sizing. Much of the padding is removable so that if it is your child's way you can adjust. The shoulder straps do come off easily which is great for washing but also kind of annoying that they aren't very secured onto the straps and easy to lose. Ours ended up on the floor boards day one. The single best feature of the straps/harness is the chest clip. It is magnetic and almost magical. It clips securely and is also too difficult for a child to release which is peace of mind as they all try to fidget with the clips. The cooling system is so luxurious combined with the mesh material especially if you have a hot rider. Our little one is ALWAYS sweaty after car rides, but not in this seat. I will be so happy/relieved to have this in the summer months for her. The dual cup holders are nice, and I anticipate this being a great car seat to grow into as it can transition through many stages. I highly recommend this car seat and I want to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this car seat and the opportunity to test this product.

I am incredibly impressed with this car seat, it was SUPER easy to install and I feel great knowing that my baby is safe, secure and comfortable. I was skeptical as I received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I'm blown away. The buckles are magnetic and so easy to lock and unlock even with a fussy toddler. The adjustable head rest is an added function that will help the seat grow with my baby in the coming years of use. The fabric is buttery soft and and has a great amount of cushioning to keep my son comfortable on our rides. The design is great, sleek and good looking. The cup holders are an added bonus for snacks and drinks. Too bad its winter but I can't wait to take advantage of the cooling system this summer as it gets in CT! My nanny also took this for a test drive and she said this is hands down one of the best car seats she has ever used.
