This car seat was perfect for my 1 year old who runs hot and hates being in the car because of how uncomfortable he gets. When I found out I was receiving this car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was so excited to test it out with the fan function. Upon receiving it I loved the design and how soft and comfortable the fabric and the seat in general was. It was super easy to install and it was easy to get him in and out. It took a minute to get the hang of the magnetic chest buckle but after I tried it I loved how easy it was to handle and still safe and secure. Even though it is wintertime for us my son still overheats in the car when wearing sweatshirts aand the heat full blast , so the fan actually turns on for him when it has gotten too warm in the car even in the wintertime when needed. I can't wait to have this function in the summertime too! The cord for the fan was easy to hide since it was plugged into the back and out of tiny hands reach. The seat was super easy to install, we didn't even need a virtual appointment, although we appreciated one being available if we needed help. The only design I would change is the cushion cover for the crotch buckle- it went a little higher than I like and adds a little time to move it out of the way In order to unbuckle, but we ended up just removing that padding thanks to the easy customization of the design! Overall my little guy has been super comfortable in his car seat, I love that we can keep him cool if he overheats because that was always on my mind. And I love how gorgeous and sleek it looks!

I was given this all in one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This carseat is an impressive piece of engineering that doesn't just prioritize safety but also considers comfort and convenience for both me and my child. My overall impression of this car seat is overwhelmingly positive! The automatic fan system is a game-changer. I received the car seat in November, but and the fan only kicked on a few times, but I imagine that this feature is especially helpful during hot weather months. It genuinely helped my little one stay cool on the few warmer days that we had and when we had the heat on in the car too high. The adjustable fan settings and its position provided a nice airflow that made car rides much more pleasant for my child. In terms of design, fabric, and comfort-enhancing features, this car seat hits all the right marks. The fabric is not only soft but also is durable and easy to clean, which is a huge plus for me because my child spills water, milk, food, and whatever he can. Installation and adjustment are super easy. The design and clear instructions made the initial setup a breeze. The cord routing system is well-thought-out and is in the back of the car seat, ensuring the cord stays out of the way and doesn't become a safety hazard or an annoyance for my child. The incorporation of the fan system and the thoughtful design elements truly set this car seat apart from others in the market. I would recommend this car seat to all of my friends and family.

This is the most fantastic car seat we have ever used. From the beautiful sleek design to the innovative air cooling system for my always hot toddler - it definitely exceeded our expectations. It was a bit difficult to initially set up, but once it is in the seatbelt is easy to put on with a super quick magnetic fastener (unlike our other carseats) and my little girl felt like a complete princess in the luxurious seat cushions. She is so comfortable it is sometimes hard not to get her to fall asleep in it. The only (small) thing I would change would be the size of the cup holders. My daughter's water bottler is too big to fit. I was very grateful to receive this carseat as a part of the Stellar review panel and cannot wait to use it as my daughter gets older.

I love this car seat! What makes it so different than other car seats is that it has Vent Max Technology. Fans are built-in that as the temperature rises, they will cut on and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The material is breathable, allowing air to flow. This Vent Max technology is powered thru your vehicles power port. This is an all-in-one car seat, the only one you will ever need. Fits babies from 4 lbs. up to 100 lbs. Definitely the best car seat that I have ever owned!

Our toddler has constantly been complaining that she's too hot or cold. No more! I haven't heard a peep from her since we got this car seat. When I discovered the fans were only automatic, I thought there would still be complaints, but none so far. I love this seat. It's plush, comfy, and easy to get in and out of. The fabric is machine washable, and our little continues to say that this is the comfiest seat she's ever felt. The magnetic buckle is also amazing - quick and out of the way when getting in and out. The cup holders also come out and are dishwasher-safe. It's quick to install/uninstall using the LATCH system, though if you're moving seats around, you have to unthread the fan cord, too. I was worried the cord wouldn't be long enough because we need to plug it in in the front, but it was plenty long. The cord is under the floor mats, and it's easy to disconnect in the front. This has been helpful since the switch on the seat is hard to reach in forward-facing mode. The indicator light at the top of the seat is super helpful; it's easy to see from the rearview mirror yet not bothersome for tired kids in the back (though maybe red would have been a better choice than blue for night). It's been a good indicator for me to turn down the air when it comes on. We are using this seat in forward-facing mode, though I have to say, I think this is the first convertible car seat I would consider using for an infant. The inserts provided, coupled with the magnetic buckle that stays out of the way when putting a baby in, really make this an ideal choice if you are using a convertible seat with a baby. The only major downside is that we can only use this car seat for one child due to the 12V connector. I would also still like the option to manually turn on the fans even though I haven't needed to yet. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, though if a future version has a rechargeable battery option, I will be purchasing more!

I have great things to say about this car seat! I've noticed that the backseat of my car does not have very good air flow (especially for a rear-facing child) and while I'm riding comfortably with AC blasting, I notice my child is sweaty when arriving at our final destination. This always presents a challenge: do I crank the AC and freeze myself out, or keep the car at a moderate temperature and hope my child doesn't mind the sweaty hair? This car seat provides the solution with the built-in fans and automated sensors to turn on and off when optimal temperatures are reached. The look of the car seat is stylish and relatively slim, although to incorporate the fans, the head rest is large and bulky, but my child didn't mind. I really appreciate that this seat can grow with my little one, and while I didn't need to use this for an infant, the pillows provided were firm and looked like they would have been extremely supportive for this function. A few design features that I think could make this a 100% winning seat are in relation to the cord and fan features. The cord is nice and long to allow it to reach the front seat in my car; however, in larger vehicles, or if using this in a third row, the cord would be unlikely to reach any power. I tried following instructions to keep the cord out of the way by tucking it under the seat, but in the rear facing position, it still has to drape and makes a second child crawling under it to their seat more challenging. A channel within the seat to hide the cord would be ideal. The power for this is also only a 12V; however, having this run-on USB power would have been more ideal. Adjusting the height positions on this seat was more challenging than I'm used to, but it was just something I had to adjust to. Overall, I would recommend this car seat if you are looking for a nice option to keep your kiddos cool! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this all in one car seat.

I would recommend this car seat to anyone living in a warm climate, especially if they drive a car without air vents in the back. I have such peace of mind knowing my son is safe and comfortable in the Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill. We recently took a long road trip to the beach and it was so nice not having to worry about the baby getting too hot in the car. I will say that the seat was initially difficult to install, but moving it to a different car later was a breeze. Be aware that during long road trips the ventilation system can be loud when automatically turning on-off. Overall, I would recommend this car seat and am grateful for having been given the opportunity to test it out myself.

After testing the car sat for a few months I'll give this a 4 out of 5 stars. Overall the car seat is aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean when those messes happen. The magnetic chest strap made it super easy to clip one handed. You can pull and adjust without climbing in the car! I found the air fan comforting for my child when he needed a car nap. The air fan was nice to have on hot days but not sure it made a difference in cooling him down than the air did. I gave 4 starts since its easy to clean and the looks is nice.

Fans stopped working after 1 week

i bought this and the light never came on and my airflow never even worked. reached out to maxi cosi and got no reply. the car seats really nice but i could've spent the same on a nuna had i known the ac wasn't going to work.
