From the moment I opened this box, I knew this car seat was going to be a luxurious one, thanks to its remarkably rich texture of the fabric and cushioning - and it also simplifies the cleaning process—a genuine lifesaver for my husband and me. The magnetic chest clip is another particularly appreciated comfort feature. A key advantage of the Maxi Cosi Pria Chill is its versatility, seamlessly transitioning from rear-facing to front-facing and into a booster seat. While I was hoping the installation process would be fairly seamless (thanks to the clear and concise directions laid out in the manual), I did encounter a slight hurdle and initially struggled to get that tight fit to the seat I was looking for. But after watching some instructional videos, I had it strapped in and ready to go in under five minutes! The Vent Max Chill System stands out as a game-changer. Setup was effortless—plugging the car seat into the rear 12V power port—and it immediately proved its worth. The attention to detail in the system, including the indicator light, breathable fabric, and cord system, is evident. Placing the system out of the child's reach and ensuring it doesn't interfere with the back seat's functionality is super important. The automatic cooling feature, responding to sensor cues, is particularly impressive and crucial for cars like mine that don't have rear vents. The Maxi Cosi Pria Chill with VentMax Car Seat has truly exceeded my expectations, offering a combination of comfort, safety, and innovative features that make it a standout choice for any parent.

We bought this a few months ago because our 2 year old was having heat issues in a normal car seat in the southern US. The Pria Chill was an instant night and day difference in comfort for our daughter and she went on and on about how “this seat keeps me cool”. She complains when she’s in another car seat now. The only complaint I have this that you can’t turn the fan on manually, it only runs when the sensor thinks it should. Our little one runs hot and has asked several times for us to turn the fan on because she’s warm but the car seat hasn’t decided it’s warm enough to run the fan yet and we have to explain to her that we can’t control the fan. The on/off switch in the power cable is only to turn the system on or off, not the fans themselves.

My son usually DREADS getting into his car seat, so that says a lot about how comfortable it is! I really enjoy the magnetic chest clip. At first I was hesitant that it would stay clipped but it is sturdy as they come! The overall all look of the car seat is elegant. I really love the colors. The material is extremely breathable and doesn't feel "hot". We haven't yet had a chance to use the fan (since it's so cold where we live) but I'm excited to try it out when the temps get hotter. My son sweats profusely in his old car seats. So this will be great for him! Installing it into our car was a breeze. We didn't have any issues with the installation process. It just takes a little bit of muscle to secure it down to the seat.. But that's with any car seat you get.

I was lucky enough to receive this car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This car seat is beyond great. The breathable fabrics and automatic fan system are amazing. It provides such peace of mind knowing there is one less thing to worry about when traveling with your little one. I was worried about the idea of needing to route a cord from the car seat to set up the fan system, but it turned out to be so well thought out and was not in the way or difficult at all. The installation of the car seat was not overly difficult. They offered a free virtual car seat appointment, so I was able to feel 100% confident in my set up prior to driving with my child in the seat. This car seat felt like it was really well designed and put together with both parents and the child in mind. Definitely recommend.

I'm a mom to three boys, and our youngest is 18 mo. so I've seen a lot of car seats! I was very excited when I received this all-in-one car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This car seat is gorgeous, I love the color and the clean look of it. The fabric is soft too! It is very easy to install nice and tight with the LATCH system, and the instructions were very clear about the appropriate recline for my rear-facing toddler. The pad on the crotch buckle keeps it easy to access instead of having to fish it out from under the baby, and I love the magnet buckle at the chest clip; it is really easy to properly buckle, but did take some practice to undo (with the benefit of being more difficult for a busy toddler to undo!). I was having trouble tightening the harness with the strap pads on but when I removed them it was easy to get a snug fit. Another big benefit to this seat is how easy it is to remove and reinstall the pads! I was excited to see they can be machine-washed even with the cooling fan feature. The removable, dishwasher-safe cupholders are GREAT! There are two things that I didn't love. First, when I was sent the product from the manufacturer initially, the seat arrived without the LATCH straps. Because I am an experienced parent, I knew that because our vehicle has LATCH, it is the best way to install the seat. I contacted Dorel and they arranged to have a new seat sent. It was great customer service, but I imagined that if I hadn't known to look for the LATCH straps (like if I were a first-time parent) I would have missed out on this big safety feature. The other disappointment for me is the 40" height limit on rear-facing. I have tall and skinny kids who will likely outgrow the limit before we want to switch them to front-facing. I am excited about the fan system but we didn't get to test the venting because it is winter here. I wish it was a USB vs. cigarette lighter plug. That said, I'm looking forward to using it this summer!

I want to love this car seat so bad but it is just so big!! Upon opening the box, there is no instruction manual on how to install, features of the car seat, etc. I had to go on the web to figure out how to install the seat. It seemed pretty simple, but I struggled with getting it tight enough to not wiggle around. I had to scoot my passenger seat all the way up and also lift the back of the seat in order to get it to fit and be level. For reference, I have a Chevy Tahoe. The fan system is really cool and unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm very hopeful that it will keep my little guy cool in the hot Texas summers. Fingers crossed! The material and fabric seems very comfy and high quality. The inserts that were included were also great quality, but we didn't need to use them. I especially love the magnetic chest closure because it makes getting my son in and out an absolute breeze! The cup holders are great for snacks and drinks and he can easily reach them on his own. I'm excited to continue to use it, but may have to switch out if we use my car for long rides as the passenger seat will be too squished. This Maxi-Cosi Pria car seat is top notch when it comes to comfort for your little one. We are using the car seat reverse facing for a 1 1/2 year old. She LOVES getting in this car seat which is a small miracle in itself if you have ever tried to wrangle a toddler into a car seat when they don't want to get in said car seat. First with car seat installation - very easy, the plug adapter for the built in cooling system is easy to plug into the seat. I will say the only downside is you have a cord dangling from the car seat to the outlet when you use it. If you don't wish to use it, you can detach the cord completely. This car seat is NOT for small/compact cars. We are using it in a Chevy Silverado and there is room but it is a very large seat. It did not fit in our Audi Q5. Second for comfort - this car seat has so much padding and cushion that it makes me wish it came in adult sizing. Much of the padding is removable so that if it is your child's way you can adjust. The shoulder straps do come off easily which is great for washing but also kind of annoying that they aren't very secured onto the straps and easy to lose. Ours ended up on the floor boards day one. The single best feature of the straps/harness is the chest clip. It is magnetic and almost magical. It clips securely and is also too difficult for a child to release which is peace of mind as they all try to fidget with the clips. The cooling system is so luxurious combined with the mesh material especially if you have a hot rider. Our little one is ALWAYS sweaty after car rides, but not in this seat. I will be so happy/relieved to have this in the summer months for her. The dual cup holders are nice, and I anticipate this being a great car seat to grow into as it can transition through many stages. I highly recommend this car seat and I want to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this car seat and the opportunity to test this product.

This is a great car seat. The Vent Max technology has been a game changer for us. We live in Arizona, and this summer has been very hot. Knowing my girl is getting air is such a relief as she is still rear facing. The fabric is very breathable, and remains cool even though it stays in the car. I haven't used the cup holders, but they are very nice to have once my girl gets bigger. The magnetic chest clip is easy to use, and belts are easy to adjust. My baby seems to be very comfortable in the seat, and happy. The sound of the fans is just enough to let you know they are on, but not annoying. I also like that there is an indicator light, but it isn't too bright. I would definitely recommend this car seat to anyone looking for a convertible seat for their little one. I am so excited to continue to use it as she grows and turns front facing!

I have an 18 month old who always struggles with getting comfortable in his car seat and even in a five minute car ride would get hot and sweaty. Not anymore. The car seat was easy and straight forward to install. The wire routing is easy and can slip in-between the seats and the floor mat to stay out of the way. The fabric is very soft and provides ample cushion. My little one loves the car seat so far. I can't even hear when the fan activates but there is a light that indicates when it is on right above the headrest. Short or long rides have been a pleasure. He is so comfortable from the fan and cushion that he falls asleep within 5 minutes and sleeps for longer. I haven't had to clean the seat yet but the cup holders are removable and the fabric can be taken off and placed in the washer. I love that it will grow with him and can be front facing. Nothing more I can ask from a car seat than this! Will upgrade my wife's car seat to this one soon!

We have traveled this summer on 4 12 hour trips and thanks to Pria chill fans my son has not over heated in the 100 heat. Being the only one with fans on him he was also the only one not sweating on the trips. The seat sits up high so if you can't lift your child up it can be a hard loading but that goes for most seats. We love the fans! My son always checked for them when we would get to the car. Love having this seat to keep our guy comfortable! He is easily able to sleep with the added soft white noise of the fans and never getting overheated. We used it for both our 3yr old and infant. Works so well! Easy to switch between them. Bonus! The chest clip can't be undone easily while seated in it. Making escaping hard.
