I bought this fridge in August. I was very happy with it until a few weeks ago. It started making a squeaky rattling noise for hours on end. Repair guy came and said it’s a normal noise of the compressor. He installed some foam to make the noise less noticeable. It made no difference. Outside of that there is nothing else to be done and I just have to get used to it because that’s a “normal noise” The noise drives me nuts. My 15 year old GE fridge was quieter than this. Very disappointed.

I love Samsung because I can manage my appliances on my phone! The fridge looks beautiful. I am excited to explore all the features! I especially love that I can connect my fridge to the SmartThings app! I am enjoying the touchscreen to access a variety of apps! I love that I can see the weather and calendar right from my fridge! Not only that, I can check what is inside our fridge right from the screen! The fridge is so roomy! I am so excited to have such a huge fridge! We definitely have plenty of freezer space too. I am excited to have an ice maker! It makes two different types of ice! The Beverage Zone/Center is convenient too! As a mom, I appreciate the Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel! I am so disappointed in Samsung! I didn’t realize such a beautiful work of art was junk. I purchased a refrigerator just like this one 10/24/19. A few months after buying it I had to get the ice maker replaced. Thankfully they paid to replace it. For some reason the cubed ice came out crushed but I didn’t care. A few years later the ice machine stopped working again. When I asked for a repair through Samsung they asked for the receipt. I said you have the receipt from the last time I got it repaired, they said they had no record of me getting the ice maker repaired. They eventually helped pay for the repair of the ice machine for the second time. 6 months later now my freezer has stopped working. The refrigerator is 5 years, 9 months old and it stopped working. I have to unplug it every two days to get the refrigerator to cool back down. It reads that it’s at 37 degrees but when I reboot it, it says it’s at 46 degrees, 54 degrees! Thankfully I still have my GE refrigerator in the garage. We’ve had it for 21 years and replaced it because the ice machine stopped working. So the GE still works fine after 21 years. The Samsung doesn’t work after 5.5 years! I will never buy Samsung again! The repairman said it’s got a leak. He said he’d replace the compressor because of the 10 year warranty. Would have to put in a UV dryer to pinpoint the leak. Those 2 would cost at least a $1000 with Samsung paying for the compressor. If they pinpoint the leak then they’d have to buy that part and replace it. I wish I knew this before I purchased Samsung!!!! Btw, the repairman said he buys GE! Definitely buying GE from here out!

It’s quite silent and compared to my previous Samsung refrigerator it’s energy efficient that I could see in the reality!! Finally, the touchscreen is a nice touch; however I wish it was high resolution like 4K.
